OPEN STUDIO - PAINT OUTSIDE THE BOX!

Morning Instructional Art Session

In the morning session, we will try our hands at our own “master paintings“, including Picasso, Van Gogh, Matisse, David Hockney, Gauguin, Chagall, and others. We can use their paintings to enrich our own styles, or we can copy them in the manner of the Renaissance artists to improve our own abilities. All you need for this class are your own paints – acrylics, oils, watercolors, pastels, pencils, or crayons. Suitable for beginners to more advanced, it’s a great group to create with! Bring your own paint, brushes, jars and table coverings to work on our large tables.$15 materials fee collected during first class.

AFTERNOON ART SESSION: DO YOUR OWN THING!

In the afternoon session, it’s do your own thing! It’s an open studio to create in whatever medium you wish. You can share your ideas, and ask for help from our award-winning members. And, you can even continue with your morning project! Bring your own paint, brushes, jars and table coverings to work on our large tables.$15 materials fee collected during first class.

Stained Glass

WITH FRANKIE MEYER, stained glass teacher for over 40 years. Create your own leaded or copper foiled stained glass project with Frankie's help! She has taught this art form for many years and has commissions in homes and businesses throughout the Bay Area. All ability levels are welcome. Students have created wonderful additions to their homes--such as sidelights for their front doors, or given/or been commissioned to create pieces like a panel of a favorite dog or Shark or Giant logo(etc) for a friend or family member. Possibilities are endless....come join the fun! A supply list will be provided at the first class. If you already have some tools and supplies please bring them so we can discuss any areas you may need to add to complete your tool box. Lab Fee: $5, payable to the instructor at 1st class.

More Art New Techniques Using Acrylic And Collage Workshop With

RONA FOSTER

Rona has taught art workshops for adults around the bay area for about 15 years She is both a painter, mixed media, and clay artist. Rona paints with acrylic paint, often adding texture by using different kinds of paper, gels, and mediums to her canvas. Learn a variety of painting and collage techniques using acrylic paint, colorful paper, texturing and varnish. Students can begin on practice boards to experiment with different techniques demonstrated by the teacher. The final product will be on canvas, where the student is free to create any image they want. Beginners or any skill level are welcome. Most materials are supplies. Students need to bring two canvases or canvas panels no larger than 12"x16' and scissors. Optional- an apron. Materials Fee: $10 payable to instructor on day of class.

BUCHE DE NOEL / CLASSIC YULE LOG

The Buche de Noel, or Yule Log, makes any holiday table instantly festive and it's an elegant finish to your holiday meal. In this class, I’ll break down the components to a class yule log: chocolate sponge, chocolate ganache, chocolate whipped cream and meringue mushrooms. Then you'll assemble and decorate your own mini yule log to take home! All ingredients, aprons and equipment are included in the registration and materials fee. All you need to bring is yourself and a to-go container for your creations!

Join for an entertaining and informative hands-on cooking class. We will explore and create signature dishes from a variety of cuisines. Our classes accommodate the novice to the kitchen pro. We encourage your own creativity and variations. We also cover kitchen safety, proper food handing, and knife skills as an integral part of the class. So bring an apron, your favorite chefs knife, and take home food containers. So get ready to come solo or with your significant other to join in the fun! Supplies and ingredients fees vary and are due at time of class.
