This family business created in the 1950s started out with the production of lamb coming from South America. In the 1990s, the company started to produce deer and reindeer leather and has made the latter its speciality. Very few tanneries offer reindeer leather.

Reindeer is mainly used for clothing due to its properties which include its natural fineness and its silky texture.

Anil Tannery, a Turkish family company, initially produced finished lamb and sheep leather, then opening a second tannery for the production of bovine leather. Production is 100% integrated and this coupled with R&D investments allows the company to meet the varied demands of their clients from the clothing, leather goods and footwear sectors, ranging from mid-end to luxury markets. Anil Tannery has also adopted responsible production with both tanneries being located in areas that have their own water treatment and gas recycling systems, meaning they are very close to producing zero pollution. All the chemical products used in their production are environmentally friendly and have REACH certification.

Cette entreprise familiale créée dans les années 50, a d’abord commencé son activité avec la production d’agneau en provenance d’Amérique du sud. Dans les années 90, la maison se lance dans la production de cuir de cerf et de rennes et fait de ce dernier sa spécialité. Très peu de tanneries proposent du cuir de rennes. Le renne est largement utilisé en habillement pour ses propriétés, à savoir sa finesse naturelle et son toucher soyeux.

Anil Tannery, tannerie familiale turque a d’abord commencé son activité par la production de cuir fini d’agneau et de mouton puis à l’ouverture d’une seconde tannerie par la production de cuir bovin. La production intégrée à 100% ainsi que des investissements en R&D leur permet de répondre aux demandes variées de leurs clients de l’habillement, de la maroquinerie et de la chaussure, du moyen de gamme au luxe. Anil Tannery se positionne également sur une production responsable, puisque les 2 tanneries sont situées dans des zones possédant leurs propres systèmes de traitement de l’eau et de recyclage du gaz permettant ainsi d’être proche du point zéro de pollution. Tous les produits chimiques utilisés dans leur production sont écoresponsables et bénéficient de la certification REACH.

This Brazilian tannery founded in the 1980s quickly specialised in suede flesh split. Since then it has become its leading product. The tannery produces a variety of versions of the product (cracked, perforated, coloured, printed...) to meet the demands for customisation from their clients. With this product, Curtume Rusan positions itself almost exclusively on the footwear market and today counts the leading sports shoe labels among its customers. Mindful of its duty to the environment, Curtume Rusan tannery is determined to continually improve its environmental performance, meet legal requirements and avoid pollution. To achieve this, the company uses environmentally-friendly production techniques, combined with modern technology that minimises the volume of water needed to process the leathers and reduces the environmental impact.

This is a Turkish tannery founded in 1971, which was initially specialised in the tanning and production of clothing from goat and lamb leather. In the 1990s, the company started to produce deer leather from New Zealand and has made this product its speciality. The grain of deer leather is around 2mm thick with a pronounced marking, and it is often used for gloves and leather goods for its strength and because it does not crease. Among the innovations offered by Derma Deri, there is very fine deer leather, just 0.3/0.4 mm, which can be used for clothing.

Cette tannerie brésilienne fondée dans les années 80 s’est très vite spécialisée dans la croûte de cuir velours, et en a fait son produit phare. Elle est déclinée en différentes versions (craquelée, perforée, colorée, imprimée…) pour s’adapter aux envies de personnalisation de leurs clients.

Avec ce produit, Curtume Rusan se positionne presque exclusivement sur le marché de la chaussure et compte aujourd’hui parmi ses clients les plus grandes marques de chaussures de sport. Conscient de sa responsabilité envers l’environnement, la Tannerie Rusan est déterminée à améliorer en permanence sa performance environnementale, satisfaire aux exigences légales et prévenir la pollution. Pour cela, elle utilise des procédés de production respectueux de l’environnement, appliquée à des technologies modernes qui minimisent le volume d’eau pour le traitement des cuirs et réduisent l’impact environnemental.

Tannerie turque fondée en 1971 qui était à l’origine spécialisée dans la tannerie et fabrication de vêtements en cuir d’agneau et de chèvre. Dans les années 90, ils se lancent dans la production de cuir de cerf en provenance de Nouvelle Zélande et font de ce produit particulier leur spécialité. D’une épaisseur d’environ 2 mm, la fleur du cuir de cerf possède un grain fortement marqué qui en fait sa spécificité, il est souvent utilisé dans la ganterie et la maroquinerie pour sa solidité et le fait qu’il ne marque pas le pli. Parmi les innovations de Derma Deri, un cuir de cerf très fin de 0.3/0.4 mm qui peut alors être utilisé pour l’habillement.

GD Taylor is a young Italian tannery specialised in tanning exotic leathers (python, alligator, crocodile, caiman, lizard and ostrich). The small scale of the company allows it to respond individually to the demands of its clients. The products are mainly aimed at the leather goods and footwear markets. Their strong point is to offer a wide range of colours and finishes.

This Turkish tannery based in Usak is specialised in lamb leather mainly for clothing, with a small amount being used for leather goods. They offer chrome, mixed and vegetable tanning. Thanks to a 100% integrated production process and a supply of raw hides from the domestic market, Hira Deri is very reactive. The company is also focused on responsible production with the use of chemical products that respect the environment as well as the treatment of waste water and waste material from the manufacturing process.

GD Taylor est une jeune tannerie italienne spécialisée dans le tannage de cuirs exotiques (python, alligator, crocodile, caïman, lézard et autruche). Cette société à taille humaine travaille sur mesure et peut ainsi répondre aux exigences de ses clients. Leurs produits sont principalement destinés aux marchés de la maroquinerie et de la chaussure. Leur point fort est de proposer une large gamme de couleurs et de finissages.

Cette tannerie turque basée à Usak est spécialisée dans le cuir d’agneau principalement à destination de l’habillement et une petite partie à la maroquinerie. Ils réalisent le tannage au chrome, mixte et végétal. Grâce à une production 100% intégrée et un approvisionnement en peaux brutes sur le marché domestique, Hira Deri est très réactif. Ils se positionnent également sur une production responsable avec l’utilisation de produits chimiques respectueux de l’environnement ainsi que le traitement des eaux usées et des déchets de leur production.

Founded in 1923, Kampana Deri belongs to the Savranoglu group. This tannery produces bovine leather (cow and young bull) for the leather goods sector, notably including a range of glazed leather, but also footwear with leathers for soles and for shoe uppers.

The Kyoto Leather label is the fruit of the association of a consultancy firm, a tannery and a dyeing firm, all of which are Japanese. It has also been selected by the government to promote Japanese leather. A proportion of its production is made from the Japanese bovine race, the Wagyu. But what really makes this Japanese firm stand out is the printing on leather they offer, produced in a traditional manner. The designs are mostly inspired by Japanese culture, particularly by kimonos, and are printed with extreme precision, allowing even the smallest detail to be clearly visible. An incredible finish on leather, ideally suited to small leather goods collections.

Fondée en 1923, Kampana Deri appartient au groupe Savranoglu. Cette tannerie propose des cuirs bovins (vache et taurillon) à destination de la maroquinerie avec notamment une gamme de cuir verni. Pour la chaussure on notera l’offre de cuirs pour la semelle et pour le dessus de chaussures.

La marque Kyoto Leather est née de l’association d’une société de conseil, d’une tannerie et d’une entreprise de teinture, toutes 3 japonaises. Elle a d’ailleurs été sélectionnée par le gouvernement pour promouvoir le cuir japonais. Une partie de leur production est faite à partir d’une race bovine japonaise, le Wagyu. Mais ce qui fait la particularité de cette entreprise japonaise, c’est leurs propositions d’impression sur cuir réalisée de manière traditionnelle. Des motifs pour la plupart issus de la culture japonaise et notamment des kimonos mais imprimés avec une extrême précision qui révèlent les moindres détails. Un rendu incroyable sur du cuir, tout à fait adapté aux collections de petite maroquinerie.

Specialised in finished lamb leather, OSM Leather offers all types of tanning (chrome, vegetable and mixed) as well as aniline and semi-aniline finishes. Mainly focused on the clothing market, OSM Leather also produces a range for footwear and leather goods.

Highlights in the various finishes that are available include interesting perforation and laser work to give a textured finish.

This Japanese company is specialised in Kurozan leather, also known as the ‘black diamond’ of leather for its dark and shiny appearance. This leather is bovine leather from the Japanese Wagyu race (Kobe beef) which is dipped in tanning agents then in liquid iron, producing a chemical reaction that gives the leather its black colour. The lustrous finish is obtained thanks to the application of many layers of lacquer which is then hand-polished to give the leather even more shine. Kurozan is a rare leather that is only produced in Japan.

It can be used for leather goods and footwear but also for clothing.

Spécialisée en cuir fini d’agneau, la tannerie OSM Leather propose tout type de tannage (chrome, végétal et mixte) et des finitions aniline ou semi-aniline. Principalement axé sur le marché de l’habillement, OSM Leather propose aussi une offre à destination de la chaussure et de la maroquinerie. On notera dans les finitions proposées, un travail intéressant de perforation et de laser pour un rendu tout en relief.

Cette société japonaise est spécialisée dans le cuir Kurozan appelé aussi le diamant noir du cuir pour son aspect noir et brillant. Ce cuir est un cuir de bovin de la race japonaise Wagyu (bœuf de Kobé), il est trempé dans des tannins puis dans du fer liquide, produisant ainsi une réaction chimique qui teint le cuir en noir. La finition laquée est obtenue grâce à l’application de plusieurs couches de laque, puis un polissage manuel qui rend le cuir plus brillant. Le Kurozan est un cuir rare et produit uniquement au Japon. Il peut être utilisé en maroquinerie, chaussure mais aussi habillement.

This Italian tannery, founded in 1978 and based in Solofra, works with various types of leather (lamb, goat etc). Its special feature is the wide range of finishes it offers, including hand screen-printing, embossing, pleating, lamination, glazing - a range of techniques to ensure personalised products and surprising effects on leather. This family company offers its clients bespoke production and expertise.

Cette tannerie française est spécialisée en peaux d’agneaux tannées teintes, articles plongé ou nappa pour la fabrication de vêtement, chaussure, maroquinerie et ganterie.
