Celebrating Our Diversity TASTE OF CULTURE EVENT An annual event that started when the school of pharmacy opened, Taste of Culture encourages members of the PCSP community to share dishes from their individual cultures. Featured this year were macarons from France, tiramisu from Italy, Cajun jambalaya from New Orleans, shortbread from Scotland, and many others!

Students are molded by their academic environment and at Presbyterian College School of Pharmacy, we ensure that students learn about and experience the variety of cultures and ethnicities present here. Through events like the annual Taste of Culture, students, faculty, and staff promote respect for our differences and celebrate our collective mission to “Care for our Community.”

Additionally, the PCSP Diversity Committee is composed of faculty, staff, and student representatives to monitor diversity issues on campus, recommend solutions, and coordinate diversity training. This year, the diversity committee developed the PCSP

P1 Ben Hernandez represented New Orleans with his Cajun jambalaya. His recipe earned him first prize during the 2019 Taste of Culture event.

Diversity Statement: “Come As You Are.” The intent of the statement is to show PCSP’s commitment to create and maintain a diverse educational and working environment that extends beyond the classroom. Diversity at PCSP strengthens the educational experience of all members of our community.

The PCSP community inserts pins into maps of the country and world to illustrate how far-reaching the diversity of our family is.
