Heidelberg expands cloud-based applications Together with Crispy Mountain, HEI.OS to be developed into a cloud platform for the printing industry.

As part of its digital transformation, Heidelberg is systematically expanding its digital business models.

With the recently acquired software start-up Crispy Mountain (of Mainz, Germany, which offers Keyline, a cloud-based management platform for print businesses), it aims to expand the “HEI.OS” platform as a new industry platform for the printing industry.

Among other things, printing companies will be able to obtain a large number of applications from an App Store. By connecting the existing Heidelberg software solutions around Prinect, the Heidelberg ID and the Heidelberg Assistant, it also aims to expand the customer base.

The platform is to be open to all manufacturers in the printing industry. This is intended to give print shops easier access to comprehensive services at the lowest possible administrative burden. Third-party suppliers will be able to create tailor-made offers for printing companies via the platform.

Keyline has already been launched on the market as a future-oriented management information system (MIS) for the printing industry, designed exclusively for operation in the cloud and for further development towards ecosystems. Using web-based and mobile technologies, the application depicts all stages of the value chain of digital and offset print businesses. This enables printing companies to calculate and produce significantly faster and more reliably, while reducing costs and minimizing errors. The application is now to be expanded with all necessary functions for the three market segments Commercial, Label and Packaging.

Heidelberg is already gradually converting the sale of individual software licenses to a usage-oriented subscription offering. The company is thus realigning its traditional software business to cloud technology and its usage-oriented value creation. Increase your workflow efficiency through smart optimization

As the industry continues to undergo a major transformation, no printer can afford to ignore opportunities to optimize processes and improve efficiency. Ever shorter runs are the norm today, bigger orders are divided into several smaller jobs with differentiated content and time schedules, while web-to-print portals mostly generate a large number of small jobs and personalized products are on the increase. That all adds up to higher-thanever requirements and an even heavier workload for your prepress. More files have to be processed and more plates and / or digital print jobs delivered to the pressroom in less time, to prevent the presses from standing still. The workflow and its potential for optimization are taking center stage.

This is where the key lies to improving the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) of your printing operations. Mass optimization represents an attractive option here that can help you raise the efficiency of your workflow sustainably and hence save time and money.

Mass optimization drives efficiency Mass optimization is a strategy for leveraging the known information of all work-in-progress jobs, so that the jobs can be produced in the most efficient manner using the least amount of resources. Various approaches and possibilities exist for implementing mass optimization. Apart from job batching, where groups of jobs are automatically created based on certain criteria, file and sheet optimization also offer tangible benefits here.

PDF preflight is a typical file optimization software, and printers using a KODAK PRINERGY Workflow System are in the envious position of having the most robust automatic preflight technology as an integral element of their workflow.

Preflight software automatically checks the files against selected preflight profiles, which can be either based on industry standards or user defined, and reports any nonconformances or errors. Buffalo News, NY The Buffalo News recently finished an extensive workflow upgrade project that included installing NewsWayX. ProImage’s Intellitune/OnColor for colour correcting and toning images and OptiInk/ECO for ink optimization has been upgraded as well.

These new versions with added features will help improve image quality and save the newspaper additional ink.

Lee Enterprises Lee Enterprises will be upgrading their centralized workflow to NewsWayX to better manage their production to over 25 print sites. Planning files are imported from Layout 8000 to automatically build editions.

Two separate workflow hubs share the workflow load, each backing the other up for recovery. Their centralized RIP farms will be upgraded to the latest versions and will be load balanced for efficient throughput. Once pages are paired, they are approved by a centralized prepress team before plate ready Tiffs are sent to the designated print site(s) for output to local CTP devices.

Tribune Publishing, Chicago, IL Tribune Publishing is upgrading their Arkitex workflow to NewsWayX and will be configured in a centralized environment to provide automated workflow for six Tribune production sites. Each site will have its own remote workflow for viewing and approving their own publications. Kingsport Times-News, TN A longtime ProImage client, the Kingsport Times-News in Kingsport Tennessee is upgrading their existing workflow to NewsWayX HTML5 browser based workflow software. The new software will better manage production with an improved user interface and production tracking screens.

Kingsport is already using ProImage’s ECO

SaaS ink optimization software which will now be integrated into the workflow. The upgraded Harlequin RIPs and NewsWay software will run on new servers for faster throughput to Agfa CTP devices.

The New York Times, NY The New York Times is upgrading their Arkitex workflow to NewsWayX at their College Point Plant in Flushing NY. The new version will simplify edition planning and manage their additional commercial work as well as local publications. Edition plans will automatically be generated by importing a plan from Courier layout system as well as Goss OmniX press control system to obtain plate location data and page counts needed.

NewsWayX will then burn plate information onto the plates as part of the barcode along with all furniture marks for output to five CTP lines which will allow colour locking separations and load balancing all lines. Ink presets as CIP3 values will be sent to Goss press control system and copy of Tiff to calibrated hard proofers.

NewsWayX can be fully accessed from any computer platform that supports a browser eliminating complicated hardware installation.

The Board of the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WANIFRA), meeting in Glasgow, Scotland on 3rd June, 2019 on the occasion of the 71st World News Media Congress, 26th World Editors Forum and 3rd Women in News Summit, has called on the government of the United Kingdom to address a number of critical press freedom challenges that threaten UK media and risk undermining recent international efforts to prioritise media freedom.

“We deplore the 18th April killing of journalist Lyra McKee,” said the WAN-IFRA Board in one of six Press Freedom Resolutions to be issued from its annual event. “We urge the Police Service of Northern Ireland to vigorously pursue its investigation until her killer is identified and brought to justice.”

The Board encouraged Northern Ireland politicians to work through the current political impasse as a means of prioritising the safety of journalists and to “strongly deter the onset of a climate of impunity for those who attack or murder media professionals.”

The Board of WAN-IFRA expressed its deep concern at the 2018 arrest and questioning of journalists Trevor Birney and Barry McCaffrey in connection to their work on the acclaimed documentary ‘No Stone Unturned’, an

The WAN-IFRA Board gave its support for an exemption for news media publishers from the new legal controls, codes of conduct and regulatory systems proposed by the Online Harms White Paper, which are intended to curb the influence and reach of technology companies. “The UK government must ensure that any extension of the criminal or civil law in respect to online harms, offensive communications, hate speech and harassment does not limit press freedom.”

The Board also called for reform of defamation laws in Northern Ireland and Scotland to bring them into line with the 2013 Defamation Act already applicable in England and Wales.

In Rwanda, the Board denounced the government’s stifling of critical voices through a combination of brazen and covert tactics of censorship.

In Tanzania, the Board denounced a systematic campaign by the government to attack and intimidate the press as a means of preventing critical and opposition voices, as well as controlling information available to the Tanzanian public.

In Venezuela and Nicaragua, the Board called for the authorities to end the cycle of censorship that targets journalism in both countries and commit to guaranteeing the free-flow of information to citizens.

During its meeting in Glasgow, the Board of WAN-IFRA also passed Press Freedom Resolutions calling on global solidarity for media facing extreme challenges in Brazil, Mexico, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Venezuela and Nicaragua.

During the 71st WAN-IFRA’s annual Congress in Glasgow, Scotland, Fernando de Yarza López-Madrazo, President of Henneo in Spain, was elected President of WAN-IFRA, the World Association of News Publishers. WAN-IFRA also appointed a new President and a new Vice President of the World Editors Forum. Fourteen executives from leading news media companies were also elected to new terms on the Board of WAN-IFRA. Fernando de Yarza López-Madrazo was elected by WAN-IFRA members at the World News Media Congress, World Editors Forum and Women in News Summit in Glasgow, Scotland. 600 publishers, editors, journalists, and other senior news executives from around the world attended the events.

In 2003, the company was the first in the world to acquire a Koenig & Bauer Cortina press using Toray waterless offset plates. Advance Local integrates 180 publications using ppi Media workflow - workflow consolidation for 14 printing locations to plan and produce more than 180 US-publications from one central technology stack.

Media group Advance Local, one of the largest media companies in the United States, has made a company-wide switch to a workflow based on the ppi Media solutions PlanPag, OM-ProofStation, and JobEntry.

Advance Local was able to move forward considerably with its workflow consolidation by implementing a central solution for their 14 printing locations to plan and produce more than 180 US-publications from one central technology stack.

Advance Local has been using the planning solution PlanPag and the output management system OM by ppi Media since 2003 in their Michigan print site in Walker, producing papers including the daily paper The Grand Rapids Press. The seamless integration of the Digital Assembly Line’s various software components and the ease with which the resulting hands-off workflow for the entire production process is handled were among the reasons why the company decided to implement PlanPag, OM, and OM Job Entry for the entire enterprise. The

consolidated centralized solution has made the complete US wide management of page and plate production easier. The system has gone live for all 14 company-owned and 3rd party printing sites.

While the papers are planned with PlanPag, JobEntry is used to plan and integrate advertising material and external printing orders into the production process. The Output Management System OM combines the information from both planning modules to manage a FNFO (First Needed First Out) hands-off workflow for all 14 print sites. All software components for Advance Local were installed using Amazon Web Services to create a central data management hub for all print sites.

Online Photo industry sees major reshuffle: Apollo acquires Shutterfly and Snapfish platforms Acquires Shutterfly in an all-cash transaction valued at $2.7 billion; separately enter into a definitive agreement to acquire Snapfish.

In a major Photo Industry overhaul, global alternative investment manager Apollo has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire all of the outstanding shares of Shutterfly, one of the leading retailer and manufacturing platforms of printed photographic products.

The acquisition for $51.00 per share in cash, or enterprise value of approximately $2.7 billion, the company announced.

Simultaneously, Apollo announced that the Apollo Funds entered into a definitive agreement to combine Snapfish, the internetbased retailer of photography products, with Shutterfly. Upon the closing of the Snapfish transaction, the Snapfish owners will become significant minority owners in the combined Shutterfly and Snapfish business.

The Shutterfly Board of Directors unanimously approved the agreement with the Apollo Funds and recommends that Shutterfly stockholders vote in favour of the transaction. Upon completion of the Shutterfly transaction, Shutterfly will become a privately held company, and its shares will no longer be listed on the NASDAQ Global Select Market.

The online Photo industry was waiting for something big like this for years with quite a few online vendors shutting down, being absorbed by other players and retailers scaling down in-store photo operations.

David Haueter, in his article points out, “The latest announcement is possibly the most dramatic yet, as longtime competitors Shutterfly and Snapfish have both been acquired and will be combined into one company. This is kind of like Ford merging

with Chevy, which ironically has also been predicted by some automotive analysts.”

Market reports show that Shutterfly has gained popularity over various categories like prints, photo books, cards, and wall décor, while Snapfish’s popularity has fell over the last few years. In InfoTrends 2018 US Photo Merchandise Survey, only 3% of consumers said they placed their last photo card order with Snapfish, which put them 11th on the list. Shutterfly was second with 18%. In photo books, Snapfish was 9th with 4%, while Shutterfly was first with nearly 34%.

David Haueter opines, “Short term, we may see Shutterfly positioned more as a premium provider of photo products and prints, with Snapfish positioned as a lowercost alternative for more budget-minded consumers.”

“Long term, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Shutterfly and Snapfish merge completely, with one company name (Shutterfly) and one website. It should be an interesting ride,” he adds.

The Shutterfly transaction is expected to close by early fourth quarter 2019. The Snapfish transaction is expected to close simultaneously with the Shutterfly acquisition.

Visitors heard how the Landa S10 perfectly complements Edelmann’s offset technology, and how its brand customers now request its new Nanographic Printing capability because of the freedom it offers – to order what they want, when they want it – all with high and consistent print quality.

“In the print and packaging world, everyone is clamoring to know if our Landa S10 is

running as expected. We repeatedly get asked if print quality is good and if we’re running seven colors. Technical Sales Manager for Etipol A/S, the semi-rotary letterpress and waterless offset sector player.

In 2017 he joined Nilpeter Italia (also distributor of the ABG Int. brand since 2015) as Head of Customer Service, and then he took over the management of all After Sales activities. He managed technical assistance, spare parts and service contracts for the approximately 400 plants (Nilpeter + ABG) in Italy.

The first Heidelberg Primefire in Japan Kyoshin Paper and Package chooses Heidelberg Primefire 106.

Kyoshin Paper and Package decided to choose Heidelberg Primefire 106 as their next digital press to expand their web-to-pack business on top of the traditional packaging business by signing a contract of the first Primefire 106 in Japan in April 2019.

Heidelberg will install the digital printing system in Kyoshin Paper and Package´s brand-new Kanto plant in summer this year.

Kyoshin Paper and Package was founded in Kobe, Japan in summer of 1948. Since then, their “challenging spirit” is their beating heat of the company as a successful packaging service provider and currently 290 employees are working with the company.

In 2013 the company expanded their packaging business launching web-to-pack service called “Hacoplay” focusing on the demand of small size and small quantity with digital presses. Currently the maximum size they can print on their digital press is B2 as maximum, but in order to further expand their web-topack business, they were looking for B1 digital press that could meet their demanding customer needs.

The first time they saw Heidelberg’s Primefire 106 was at drupa 2016 and they were impressed enough to ask Heidelberg to do print test with their challenging images. According to Mr. Kazuhiro Kajikawa,

executive managing director of Hacoplay division, “The result of the print test was excellent. The print quality such as green and orange were outstanding and we felt that the quality of print by Primefire 106 was the most beautiful we have ever seen. The consistency of quality between first and 500th sheets was also amazingly stable that surprised even our offset press operator who was with me for the test.

Other interesting feature of Primefire 106 for us is to be able to cover 95 % of Pantone colour because we as packaging printer have to use a lot of special colours for package printing. By enlarging the size from A3 to B2, we were able to expand our business and we are expecting more by going for B1 size with Primefire 106.”

The IoD inking system replaces conventional inking reservoirs with a single rubber pipe that dispenses 30 grams of ink to the print unit. The system eliminates ink trays and chambered doctor blades and performs fully automated washing of the print unit in less than one minute.

The protection of the environment may not be the first thing people think of in general. However, for KHS India it’s an altogether different case. The company has become a prime example in the past few years by instigating an extensive sustainability program.

India’s share of renewable energies in the energy mix is to amount to at least 40% in 2030. By 2026 the government wants to shut down all of its coal power stations – a goal that seems realistic as solar energy is now the least expensive source of electricity.

SPPRING project workshop Print and paper specialists develop solutions to skills and recruitment challenges.

70 delegates gathered in Graz, Austria, on 6 June for a workshop tackling the pressing skills and recruitment challenges in the paper value chain. In three breakout sessions, representatives of printing companies, schools and universities, trade associations and recruitment specialists shared their experiences and contributed ideas to the forthcoming skills and recruitment strategy for the sector.

Intergraf and CEPI, the Confederation of European Paper Industries, brought together key stakeholders in the print and paper industries to exchange views on current and future training and recruitment needs. The workshop in Graz was part of the SPPRING project (Skills for the Paper and Printing Industries’ Next Generations), which will develop a skills and recruitment strategy for the printing industry.

Georg Konetzky, Head of Department for National Market Strategies at the Austrian Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs, opened the day by setting out some of the challenges which many industries in Europe face, such as an ageing population, the development of artificial intelligence, and a mismatch between the supply and demand of skills. He then gave an overview of how officials in Austria are trying to meet these challenges, such as through better targeted apprenticeship schemes.

European Commission representative Constanze Veeh then gave a presentation on how the changing reality of trade, climate change, and global power balances are

impacting European job markets. She highlighted the specific challenge of needing to prepare young people for jobs that may not yet exist. Constanze Veeh quoted American writer and businessman Alvin Toffler “The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn”.

Intergraf organised three sessions throughout the day for the 40 delegates representing the print industry: firstly on current skills and education, training and recruitment needs in the print sector; secondly on future skills, education, training and recruitment needs; and thirdly on ‘Making it happen’, with delegates setting out their priority action steps to address the problems identified.

Each breakout session for the print industry began with an opening presentation from a print specialist, and Mike Hopkins, Hilltop Consulting (UK), and Fiona Narburgh, 3F Consulting (UK), moderated the discussions.

In parallel, the paper delegates also had targeted discussions.

A number of issues were highlighted by the print delegates. It was raised that the industry suffers from a negative image of being perceived as old-fashioned; that there are not enough engineers applying for advertised jobs; and that training methods are not keeping up to date with the demands of modern students. Nevertheless, there was no shortage of ideas to address these problems, and the day concluded with delegates commenting on the positive, inspirational mood and renewed motivation to solve current and future problems.

Intergraf Secretary General Beatrice Klose said that: “Following the crucial discussions at this workshop, SPPRING will continue to examine the current and future skills and

recruitment challenges our sector faces in order to develop best practice guidance for printers. This will ensure that employers in the print sector can find skilled workers – for the benefit and longevity of our sector”.

Green Trend: From personal care to home care The green trend in the personal care industry is permeating to the home care & cleaning products industry.

Ecovia Intelligence sees a number of important initiatives introduced by home care brands and ingredient firms this year.

Most developments are occurring in green packaging. Growing consumer awareness of plastic pollution is leading personal care and home care brands to experiment with new packaging materials. In June 2017, P&G was the first to use ‘beach plastic’ in its Head & Shoulders shampoo packaging; the recycled beach plastic was then utilised in its Fairy liquid bottles. Henkel, Unilever, Ecover and SC Johnson have all since started using beach plastic in product packaging.

A number of personal care and home care brands have partnered with TerraCycle to launch the Loop platform. The circular shopping platform aims to make single-use packaging a thing of the past. Personal care and home care products, as well as food products, are delivered to consumer households and the waste packaging collected so it can be re-used. Loop has been launched in the US and France this year, and will be introduced in the UK and Canada.

As will be shown at the Sustainable Cleaning Products Summit, green ingredients are gaining currency in detergents and home care products. The personal care industry is already using an array of natural and sustainable materials in product formulations.

Detergent and home care companies are looking at renewable feedstock to make green surfactants. Sustainable palm oil and coconut oil have been used for many years, however new sources are emerging. Croda recently launched its ECO range of biobased surfactants. The surfactants are made from biomass and certified according to the USDA BioPreferred program.

A new development is that new labels are being introduced to represent products not containing contentious ingredients. In 2018, the Environmental Working Group extended its EWG Certified label to home care products. The Made Safe label has also recently been extended to home care products.

Last month, SC Johnson expanded its line of concentrated cleaning products. P&G has been a pioneer with its laundry detergents for cold water washes. Unilever has gone further by launching a dedicated brand of green home care products. The Love, Home and Planet was introduced a few months ago; the range of laundry, dish and surface cleaning products are made using plant-based ingredients and packaged in recycled plastic.

Ecovia Intelligence believes the green trend will continue to permeate the home care industry, influencing raw materials, formulations, packaging, as well as marketing of finished products. The question is whether brands should ‘green’ existing home care product lines, or start again and develop dedicated sustainable brands.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) isn’t rocket science anymore, it’s already part of our daily life and as the technology is still growing, it’ll definitely be a bigger part of our future.

AI Build, a company based in London, already developed an automated AI-based 3D printing technology, with a smart extruder, allowing to detect problems: Their “AiMaker” is a high precision robotic end-effector that attaches to industrial robotic arms and is able to 3D print large objects at high speed with great accuracy. Combining advanced AI algorithms with real-time manufacturing data from its sensors and cameras, it detects any problems and makes autonomous decisions on the fly for achieving the best possible print quality.

The same development can be witnessed with 3D printing which is becoming more important every day and it’s still growing fast. Just think of, for example, constructing medical implants made of biomaterial with an ability to self-heal and regenerate, or building bridges with a new synthetic material fabricated with a unique blend of protein molecules similar to the ones used to produce spider web silk. That’s where AI could help. Wouldn’t it be really great if you could bring both technologies together?

Precision and Reproducibility

Defect Detection

AI could also be a solution for one of the biggest challenges in additive manufacturing: The need for greater precision and reproducibility in 3D-printed parts.

For instance, when it comes to defect detection, AI could be included in 3D modelling programs via CAD software. Using AI in 3D printing could further optimize the printing process and help avoiding errors: The joint force of these technology could develop tools that are able to find defects that could make the model non-printable in a 3D model. A real-time control by the AI could

Machine learning, and predictive modelling, a powerful subset of AI, are being used to accelerate the discovery of these new materials. Designers simply enter the desired properties into a program and algorithms predict which chemical building blocks can be combined at a micro level to create a structure with the desired functions and properties.

A Perfect Match? AI as a Part of 3D Modelling Programs 3D printing is a complex process, and AI could improve it considerably and make it even more efficient. The combination of Artificial Intelligence and 3D printing could lead to new applications of the additive manufacturing technology and more.

As you can see, the future of AI in advanced materials, design, and engineering seems quite promising. Experts agree it will serve as a cornerstone to future innovation in almost every industry. The world of customer service has taken a major breakthrough. The era of long waits and expensive trips is definitely giving way to rapid, specific and remote interventions, made possible by new technologies based on “virtual” presence and the Internet of Things. The software scans the machine, checking how devices and actuators are responding and producing diagrams and graphs that show the engines performances, allowing to identify immediately the cause of any alert.

Trouble-shooting at a software level can be solved directly online, and mechanical interventions can be managed by on-site staff, virtually driven by OMET’s specialists that knows the machine in detail. If spare parts are needed, the involved parts can be excluded from processes to allow continuing the production”.

OMET customer service goes beyond on-call interventions. Data detected by the software allow the customer service keeping track of stops or malfunctions. The analysis of these trends over time make it possible to verify critical issues and take actions to solve

Print Matters for the Future 2019: Print Enters a New Era A record 76 international delegates from 26 countries joined the latest instalment of Intergraf’s annual Print Matters for the Future conference in London. agencies already understand that “Print has an impact because it stays around for longer […] – it has a lot of longevity”.

She highlighted the effectiveness of print in marketing campaigns and its particular importance for creatives, who must be able to deliver their desired message in a singlepage print ad, or it does not work.

Every year in late spring, Intergraf organises the ‘Print Matters for the Future’ conference, exploring and presenting the most pertinent topics to the European graphic industry. At the event in Syon Park, London last month, 8 expert speakers presented their views on the sector to a participatory, international audience. The event was moderated by Cees Verweij, President of Intergraf and Chairman of KVGO (NL), and Michael Makin, President of the WPCF and President & CEO of Printing Industries of America (North America).

The conference began with a presentation from Charles Jarrold, CEO of our host, the British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF).

He informed participants about the state of the graphic industry in the UK, highlighting that “Overall, there are lots of dynamic, interesting things going on in our industry”.

Charles went on to explain how “It’s absolute nonsense that print is failing”, pointing out how amazing print is at “providing engagement and depth of experience.”

He also clarified that the UK’s economy continues to do OK, despite continued Brexit uncertainty.

Charles was followed by Faye Hawkins, Managing Director of First Base Unlimited for Print Power, who explained that creative

Next, Professor Adriaan van der Weel presented the results of the COST Action E-READ project, which shows clearly that “People do tend to read more shallowly from screens”. Reading on paper “yields better comprehension outcomes” – even for younger people (sometimes described as ‘digital natives’). In fact, “Screen inferiority effects compared to paper have increased rather than decreased over time, regardless of age group”, proving that the notion of ‘digital natives’ when it comes to reading does not exist. These conclusions are particularly important for elementary schools, which could lose up to 2/3 of their yearly increase in reading comprehension by using digital reading materials over paper.

In his presentation about the latest developments in paper technology, including paper made from vinegar, professor Rodrigo Martins from the New University of Lisbon asked “Can we transform science fiction into reality?” concluding that “We’re very close to this”. Professor Martins made clear that printers have to “change our paradigm to meet the challenges of the future”. Further speakers at Print Matters for the Future included Alejandro Mata Lopez from Fastmarkets RISI, who discussed the details of recent developments in paper

and pulp prices, stating that “The European graphic paper market was clearly paper producer driven until 2018, but conditions are rapidly changing in favour of buyers”.

Garry Mellor from the BPIF presented the details of an ongoing project which produces industry best practice guides to make operational improvements in printing companies. According to Garry, “Everyone does something well. The trick is to identify this best practice and systematically share it throughout the organisation.”

In the final presentations of the day, delegates heard the insights of Luke Lloyd, Market Research Manager at the International Post Corporation. Luke demonstrated that “Print is seen more positively than email or online ads”, contrary to popular belief. Bernd Zipper, Founder & CEO of zipcon consulting GmbH, closed the conference with his views on online print and the wider industry, stating that “print won’t die; and it will not become worthless; but worthless printers will die”. He explained that the industry is experiencing a “Zeitenwende” (“turn of an era”), in which “Transforming companies have to change to survive in the competitive arena.”

In a conclusion which adequately sums up the whole conference, Bernd Zipper affirmed that “Print is transforming and printers need to get on board.”
