10 TRENCHLESS AUSTRALASIA SEPTEMBER 2021

elcome to the 2021 September quarter edition of Trenchless Australasia. Over the last quarter, our industry has seen the impact of ‘Delta’ where it threw most of our lives back into lockdowns and we all had to re-adjust to life with COVID-19. This latest resurgence of this virus has greatly impacted our industry and homes lives once more. The ASTT wishes you the best as you negotiate your way around the pandemic impacts. Unfortunately, our scheduled No-Dig Down Under Conference & Exhibition planned for October in Sydney this year has been delayed and re-scheduled for 8-11 March 2022, with the event to remain in Sydney. Given this change please refer to the following information for updates on: • Paper submissions – confirmed speakers are due to submit their papers on 18 November. • No Dig awards and scholarships – entries are due on 10 December. • Booth bookings – a large percentage of stands have been booked, with only 3x3 spaces remaining. • Ticket bookings will be available until the day before the show; however, ticket purchases may not be available onsite due to COVID-19, so please book online. Despite the delay, it was great to see the final sponsorship opportunity taken up by Herrenknecht, who will be the second Gold Sponsor for event. Thank you to all our sponsors, exhibitors and attendees for the

ongoing support, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to No-Dig Down Under in March 2022. This quarter, the ASTT Council regularly met to discuss the following key items: • Our monthly webinars are going well; however, we are always looking for good speakers and good content. Please reach out if you would like to present an interesting trenchless topic. And we encourage you to attend on the screen. Check out updates on: https://www.astt.com.au/events-webinars/ • Our Special Industry Groups are going well, and they are achieving their respective industry goals. Again, please reach out if you would like to form a group to achieve something for our industry. The Society will happily support you with resources for beneficial industry outcomes. • The ASTT council is working on our strategic plan actions, which will continue to improve member benefits, better support the industry and generally improve the way we interact and engage with the trenchless community. We as a society are increasing our professional media footprint on LinkedIn and we’d appreciate your support by following our ASTT LinkedIn page.
