The Quieter Home Program (Program) is the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority’s Residential Sound Insulation Program. Our goal is to reduce the interior noise level within residences by at least five decibels (dB). The Program may:

For Program eligibility:
• Homes may be eligible in the communities of Loma Portal/Ocean Beach, Bankers Hill/ Middletown, and Golden Hill/South Park.

The residence will be subject to a two-step process which includes:
• Must be a residentially zoned property located within 65 decibel (dB) and
• Have habitable areas inside the residence with an average noise level of 45 dB or greater with all windows and doors closed.
The Program must also take into account the historical nature of each property it treats, which requires that the Program conduct an historical evaluation on all homes that apply for the Program.
Following this evaluation, your home will be designated as either ‘Historic’ or ‘Non-Historic’ in the context of the Program. This historical designation determines how the Program can treat your home and which products can and cannot be used.

Geisel Library is the main library building of the University of California, San Diego. It is named in honor of Audrey and Theodor Seuss Geisel. Theodor is better known as children’s author Dr. Seuss. The building’s distinctive architecture, described as occupying “a fascinating nexus between brutalism and futurism”,[1] has resulted in its being featured in the UC San Diego logo and becoming the most recognizable building on campus.
The library was designed by William Pereira and opened in 1970 as the Central Library. It was renovated in 1993 and rededicated as the University Library Building, and renamed Geisel Library in 1995.[2] The UC San Diego Library consists of Geisel Library and the Biomedical Library Building, with off-campus locations at Scripps Archives and Library Annex, the Trade Street Storage Annex, and the UC Southern Regional Library Facility.
