You start your journey in Andermatt, taking in the breath-taking natural spectacle along the Glacier Express route through the Rhine Gorge. In Filisur, you’ll climb aboard a vintage train from the 1920s and enjoy a nostalgic ride to Davos. Overnight accommodation and dinner at the Grischa Hotel Davos.
Pure nature of the Engadin
You can leave your suitcase at reception – from now on we’ll take care of your luggage so that you can get on and off whenever and wherever you like. After a hearty breakfast, your railway adventure continues. The Engadin can be reached via Prättigau and the Vereina Tunnel. In Zernez, we recommend a visit to the National Park Center. If you want to experience the beautiful nature and wildlife up close, our hiking tip is the Val Trupchun! Overnight accommodation and dinner at the Hotel Castell above the rooftops of Zuoz – a paradise for art and culture enthusiasts!
Detour to Valposchiavo on the Bernina Express
On the world-famous Bernina Express, you’ll travel to Ospizio Bernina at 2,253m altitude and with gradients of up to up to 7%. Enjoy views of the Morteratsch Glacier and experience the world-famous Montebello curve on the way to Puschlav. This famous panoramic route of the Rhaetian Railway is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy a delicious lunch in Poschiavo, prepared from 100% local produce! How about a plate of pizzoccheri and a glass of Veltliner wine? Overnight accommodation and dinner at the Cresta Palace Hotel in Celerina near St. Moritz OR at the 31 Hotel Saratz in Pontresina – both hotels are located along your route.

blends into the landscape and this tribute to the golden age of the railway pioneers is also part of the UNESCO World Heritage Rhaetian Railway. Couple your excursion with a visit to the Albula railway museum in Bergün or take an easy hike from Preda to the beautiful, crystal-clear Palpuogna mountain lake. From Chur it goes uphill again: after gently rolling by the old walls of the town after your departure, minutes later the train will be winding through the unspoilt mountain landscapes. The mountain railway seems to float along the Langwieser viaduct above the River Plessur. In an hour’s time you will reach the Swiss holiday paradise of Arosa. Overnight accommodation and dinner at the Waldhotel Arosa.
The end of the line – please disembark!
Your railway adventure comes to its conclusion with the Arosa Line taking you back to Chur.
