INTRODUCTION INTRODUCTION
PRODES ITALIA
Ajewel is much more than just an accessory; it is a life companion, a symbol carrying a unique emotional and personal charge for each of us. To own one means combining the allure of ostentation with a veil of mystery, for jewels are not merely ornaments, but they tell stories, evoke memories, and often represent a deep and intimate part of our identity. Who doesn't have that lucky charm accessory worn during important moments? Or that piece of jewelry that seems to merge with the skin, to the point where it becomes impossible to leave it hidden in a drawer?
Since the dawn of civilization, jewelry has accompanied human evolution. From the earliest creations made with raw stones and natural materials, used as amulets or seals, to the complex and sophisticated masterpieces of the contemporary era, jewelry has always represented a privileged channel through which humans express their creativity, beliefs, deepest emotions, and aspirations. Today, jewelry is not just a symbol of status or beauty but a true vehicle of art, where each piece reflects an inner world, an experience, or a message to be shared.
In this spirit, in 2013, Artistar Jewels was born, a global project that brings together artists and designers from all over the world to celebrate jewelry as a form of contemporary art. This book marks a particularly important moment, as today, in 2024, we celebrate the tenth anniversary of an extraordinary journey filled with creativity and innovation. These have been ten years of exploration, valorization, and storytelling, of emotions and cultures encapsulated in the creations of artists who have chosen to share a part of themselves through their jewelry.
“It was 2012 when Daniele Lupetti, our current publisher, gave me a book filled with hundreds of jewelry designs. I was instantly captivated by those photos, sketches, stories… by that unique magic that only jewelry can evoke. I immediately realized that I needed to give visibility to emerging talents and celebrate jewelry as a true form of art. Barbara, who is still with Prodes Italia, followed me without hesitation. This is how Artistar Jewels was born, now celebrating its tenth edition. I never imagined we would come so far, receive so many new opportunities, or meet so many wonderful creatives. Each edition has been a challenge, but also a chance to evolve—both in artistic vision and communication strategies, always keeping pace with the times. It’s only right to dedicate this milestone to all those who believed in the project, making our growth possible. A heartfelt thank you goes to all the artists, the team at Prodes Italia, our partners, sponsors, friends, family, and my wife, an tireless talent scout... and to all those who, even if just briefly, helped shape Artistar Jewels with us.” Enzo Carbone, CEO Prodes Italia
This volume features the works of over 200 artists and designers from around 60 different countries, gathered to be presented in the eponymous exhibition held annually in the splendid setting of Palazzo Bovara in Milan, during Milano Jewelry Week. This celebration of contemporary jewelry culminates in the Awarding Night, an exclusive event during which the three best artists of each edition are awarded, chosen
by a jury of international experts. Among the galleries and sponsors present, there are also those who select the jewels to exhibit and promote in their spaces, contributing to the global spread of jewelry art.
This year's jury, composed of leading figures in the international jewelry world, has selected the three best artists among the participants. Notable jurors include Bryna Pomp, Director of MAD About Jewelry at the Museum of Arts and Design, New York; Alessio Boschi, Founder and Creative Director of Alessio Boschi Jewels; Muriel Piaser, Founder of PRECIOUS ROOM by MP tradeshow & Muriel Piaser Consulting; the Romanian National Jewelry Association Assamblage; Guido Solari, Founder and Director of Scuola Orafa Ambrosiana and Director of Via Tadino 30 headquarters; and Shohista Turdiyeva, Editor and Founder of Jewellery Pursuer. Their expertise and sensitivity have allowed them to identify the most innovative and representative works of this edition, ensuring a level of artistic excellence.
As the readers flips through the pages of this catalog, they will embark on a unique journey through different cultures and worlds, intertwined with the creativity and visions of the participating artists. Over 600 carefully selected jewels by a team of curators bring to life an intense visual experience, capable of captivating and stimulating the imagination. Each piece holds a deep meaning, the result of reflections ranging from personal themes to matters of global relevance.
One of the most recurring themes in the works is the relationship with nature, represented in all its forms: from plants to animals, from plays of light to the movements of water. This deep connection with the natural environment is also reflected in concerns about climate change, nature's struggles to survive in an increasingly industrialized world, and the growing detachment between modern society and nature itself. Through their jewels, many artists explore the duality between natural beauty and environmental degradation, creating works that provoke reflection on these contemporary issues.
Alongside these themes, powerful messages of empowerment, peace, and personal freedom also emerge. The artists have used jewelry as a medium to express their vision of existence, shouting their struggles, desires, and hopes to the world. Many of them drew inspiration from their life experiences, intimate memories, and personal challenges faced along the way, transforming these emotions into tangible creations that deeply resonate with the audience.
In the following pages, you will delve into the lives of both emerging and established artists, each of whom has chosen to open a window into their inner world through their works. Through jewelry, they tell stories, explore cultures and arts, tackle issues, and propose visions of the future. This book is not just a catalog of precious objects but a true testament to how jewelry can be a bridge between different worlds, a means of expression that goes beyond mere decoration to become pure art. Get ready for a fascinating journey into the world of contemporary artistic jewelry, where creativity and technique come together to bring unique and extraordinary works to life.

Hidden treasure 1
Traditionally, it is common during special occasions to burn Bukhor before wearing jewelry. A 3D print was used to create a mold of the Bukhor mixture and fabricate the brooch. As it burns away, it reveals the two-sided coin pendant, created through 3D printing and casting. The design is inspired by the Quran: the first side features a verse from Surat Ibrahim (Verse 7) which means that if one is grateful, God will increase His favors. The second side says “Thank God,” inscribed in Arabic Thuluth calligraphy and adorned with 96 wheat motifs.
The Bukhor Bangle concealed a gold chain inside. A 3D-printed mold was created to fabricate the bangle. The chain consists of 24 wheat motifs, and together with the pendant, a total of 120 wheat designs were created by 3D printing, then cast in gold. The wheat design is inspired by the verse from Surat Al-Baqarah (Verse 261), which means that the example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed of wheat that multiplies His reward and prosperity.

The
‘At One with Nature’ ring
The ‘At One with Nature’ collection tells a story of how the human body and nature physically and metaphorically reunite after the human dies and decomposes, becoming reabsorbed by nature. This ring is inspired by the third ring from the original 2023 collection. Its design draws from the human nervous system, while the growth pattern is reminiscent of a plant. Made with forged silver wire of varying thicknesses and partially oxidized, it suggests the decaying process.

The ‘At One with Nature’ Collection tells the story of how the human body and nature reunite after death and decomposition. The focus on detail highlights the fragility of nature and life, as the structure is both delicate and intricate, requiring to be handled with care. Made from silver shim with black leather attached, it is designed to have the edges of the silver gradually flake off over time, symbolizing its metaphorical decaying process.

ALESSANDRA SETTANNI ALESSANDRA SETTANNI
Since childhood, Alessandra Settanni has shown an attraction to art, archaeology, and literature, which led her to enroll in the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy, where she became captivated by medieval archaeology. She entered the world of jewelry through archaeology, enchanted by medieval jewelry. Her creations reflect this background, characterized by references to art and archaeology, blending with a gothic and decadent atmosphere.
Vanitas, omnia vanitas est. This is the fate of human existence and everything surrounding it: everything is created and everything faces inevitable decay. Even beauty cannot escape the relentless passage of time. It is not a skull, as in the classical stylistic of art history, but a ring that transforms into a skull itself. It is corroded, and a nail brutally driven into its surface has destroyed the settings and almost all the stones.
The starting point is once again Vanitas. In this bracelet, which takes the shape of the ancient torque, two birds with sinuous necks engage in a dance. The theme of Vanitas meets a concept typical of late medieval iconography: the Danse Macabre. In her reinterpretation, the classic human skeletons dancing hand in hand with people have been replaced by opposing birds. In many cultures, birds are seen as mediators between two worlds.

”Spring rays” iris bracelet
In the “Spring Rays” collection of Solve et Coagula Colors, the artist chose yellow, mauve, viva magenta, and purple because these colors together inspire her with the Iris flower, one of the messengers of spring. The bracelet symbolizes the freedom of light. This one-of-a-kind artwork is handcrafted in 925 Sterling Silver and resin mixed with fluorescent pigments. Its atypical and bold volume makes the Iris bracelet remarkable, and the pigments create a glow-in-the-dark spectacle!
The moment one focuses on colors, they begin to understand what they are feeling. By concentrating on these feelings, individuals can get to know each other better. The various shades of yellow, from intense apricot to lemon yellow, or pale and fading into purple, warm like the rays of the spring sun. These rays appear in the morning, reach their peak at noon, and transition to the sunset. The clear yellow of the sun aids in finding inner peace, while the 14K red gold color complements and enhances all these shades.
”Spring rays” gold & purple sunset bra
The Gold & Purple Sunset bracelet is a standout piece from the “Spring Rays” collection by Solve et Coagula Colors. It symbolizes free will, giving the wearer the freedom to choose. The artist allows the wearer to select the color, gold and diamonds, or a combination of both. Handcrafted in 14k red gold, the bracelet has white diamonds set discreetly on one side, hidden from view but in direct contact with the wearer. The resin has the hues of a sunset.

”Spring rays” gold & diamond earring
If we “turn off” colors, we essentially “turn off” our feelings. We would lose one of the most intimate and profound means of expressing our emotions. In a world devoid of colors, we would become disconnected from each other and from our own inner selves. Colors have the transformative power to influence our lifestyle and existence. They are among the simplest tools we have to enhance positive emotions and nurture our wellbeing, with their effects often being immediate.
”Spring rays” purple sunset ring
Through colors, life becomes a perpetual journey. They inspire us and help us find our path to goals. Each color can evoke sounds, shapes, tastes, or smells and conjure images of places. Handcrafted in 14k red gold, 925 sterling silver, and resin, this ring allows one to savor the taste of strawberries, inhale the scent of Japanese roses, revel in the joy of spring, and marvel at the hues of a sunset all by simply looking at it.

Colors are an amazing phenomenon! Through the “Spring Rays” collection of Solve et Coagula Colors, the artist aims to showcase the synesthetic power of colors, blending our human senses. Wearing an AuronaOres piece means wearing the identity of a people.

Bryan Hansen grew up in the American Midwest and graduated with a BFA in metalsmithing and jewelry from Maine College of Art in 2018. Reflecting his childhood mindset, he fabricates, casts, and forges objects of whimsical and artifactual nature. His most recent work heavily incorporates religious symbology to explore the contradictions within and the complexities of love, violence, and the American dream.
The last supper
The front view of the Last Supper ring features fine silver, hand-fabricated and sand cast, with 24k gold plating using the Keum-boo technique. The ring portrays a chaotic scene of utter depravity and wanton violence. At the center, a table hosts twelve figures surrounding a thirteenth indistinguishable mass. Raised in a Christian household as a queer person in America, the artist employs Judeo-Christian symbology to explore the violence and hypocrisy often exhibited by its American followers.
Thy brother’s keeper
The front view of the “Thy Brother’s Keeper” bracelet, handcrafted in sterling and argentium silver with a raw diamond setting, depicts the aftermath of a man taking his brother’s life out of jealousy. Representing the first murder, this bracelet expresses deep frustration with the ignorance surrounding American “freedom” and its hypocrisy. It critiques the notion that some believe gaining freedom at the expense of another is justifiable.
BYLUDO
BYLUDO
ByLUDO is a brand of recycled e-waste founded by Ludovica Cirillo in Rome in 2008. The inspiration for the brand came from her drawer full of electrical cables and disused computer keyboards. These items are given a second life: first useful, then discarded, they are transformed into artistic objects. The design inspiration for ByLUDO bijoux stems from studying materials and their playful reconfiguration into artistic jewelry. Her eco-tech bijoux have been showcased in Rome, Tokyo, London, Madrid, Frankfurt, and Paris.

Using the lost wax casting technique, she crafts unique pieces that tell her story, her identity, and her poetry. Each piece of jewelry is a journey into herself, an emotion taking shape and life. Living this passion is her true artistic fulfillment.
This sculptural silver jewel embodies the essence of freedom and creativity. The result of two months of artisanal work, it was crafted with passion and skill by shaping hard wax to bring a dreamlike vision to life. The silver, worked and oxidized in some parts to accentuate details, captures the eye with its shine and depth. The presence of black kyanite, with its wing-like shape, adds a touch of magic and mystery.

The silver bracelet, sculpted using the hard wax technique, represents feminine essence through a deep philosophical reflection. The sinuous curves and polished surfaces evoke femininity in its purest form, expressing the pursuit for balance between light and shadow, strength and delicacy. The satin-finished part, on the other hand, offers a tactile dimension that invites exploration of the sensuality and beauty of the material world.

Panic!
Panic! is a genderless choker, similar to the High Ways one. It originates from a dream where the weight of experienced anxiety transforms into the grip of shark teeth biting the neck. It captures a modern, widespread state of mind, exorcised through a collar where the silver wire is deliberately wounded, as if bitten by a double row of teeth, which the artist handcrafted from Sardinian common opal. The drop of blood dripping from the neck is cut from red coral, topped with a small black diamond.

High Ways_from ear to heart
High Ways evokes a path that connects the ear to the heart. These are elevated paths that bridge the ability to listen with the skill of decoding and interpreting words into emotions. Symbolically, this is manifested in an ear cuff adorned with a gold pearl, a belt, a black necklace/tie crossed by a line of white Akoya pearls and glass tubes filled with crumbs of white natural stone, and a brooch with an abalone heart holding a branch of red coral.

Born in Hong Kong, Clement's art practice focuses on installation, sculpture, and metalsmithing. Inspired by science and philosophy, Clement’s work explores various aspects of the human condition, often addressing the essence of existence, the boundaries and conflicts between the individual and society, and the complexity of human emotions. His creations frequently evoke a sense of serenity, offering a detached perspective to illuminate the deeper issues of humankind.
When no one is watching.
As a child, Clement loved playing with spaceship toys, imagining himself exploring the universe. Every child lives in a world of imagination, full of adventures and wonders, but this fades for adults. As people grow older, reality slowly takes over, and their adventures are gradually replaced by routine, until they become boring adults. Perhaps all adults need is a small spaceship to escape this world and play like children again, when no one is watching.

A ring that is uncomfortable to wear, with pointless mechanisms, symbolizes the complex relationship between individuals and society. As social beings, people fear being outsiders, driving them to mold themselves to fit into the world, binding themselves with rules and norms. In the end, all that remains is a mark on their skin, a symbol of solitude, a reminder of a place where they never truly belonged. Everyone desires to fit in, but the fit is never quite right.
CODES CODES
CoDeS, short for Corneel De Schamphelaere, is a starting artist and writer from Belgium. His works seek to bring magic into the world. They appear to be fragments of another reality where things act out of our norm. Kinetics, changing colours, illusions, fragments of nature, and an otherworldly blue are recurring features in his pieces. The goal, to return people’s childlike wonder at the strangeness of reality and the beauty of nature.
Teeterring
Teeterring is a kinetic ring exploring the illusion of detachment. The bowl on the ring spins wildly on the edge of the wooden base, permanently appearing on the verge of falling off. The geometric bowl in blue and silver seems entirely independent from the organic ring. It’s a piece bound to attract attention not only through colour and movement, but also through the alarming nature of seeing something teetering on the edge of a surface.

Inspired by the subject of declining attention span, the process of creating Breathe included several methods of recovering one’s attention. The piece of wood was collected during an extended, meditative stroll in a forest. Without electronics present, the bracelet was then carved by hand. Additionally, the bracelet can be used to guide a breathing exercise by rotating it through your fingers until you feel the knot. Breathe is a fragment of piece and calm, bringing the forest to you. Deon Smith did not set out to be a jewelry designer. He studied medicine and practiced as a pediatrician. He discovered, quite by chance, that he also enjoyed designing, especially jewelry, and after he retired, he was encouraged to pursue this newfound interest. Over the years, he has felt the need to record his observations, insights, and aspirations. Designing jewelry has become a visual, tangible, and nuanced way for him to do so, providing moments of clarity and meaning in his life.
A love letter
A love letter, a tangible expression of feelings and thoughts when speech fails or seems wholly inadequate, endures as a reminder of love shared, love lost, and love treasured. But there is more to this Love Letter brooch than the inscription on the reverse: “THAT LOVE IS ALL THERE IS, IS ALL WE KNOW OF LOVE.” The shapes, lines, and judicious choice of gemstones add a deeper layer of meaning. Jade represents harmony and eternity, garnet symbolizes love shared, and onyx provides protection for the relationship.

Keys open and close, confine and liberate. This duality is often overlooked in such a utilitarian object. Janus, the Roman god of transitions, dualities, and protector of doors and thresholds, is typically portrayed holding a key and having two faces, one facing the past and the other the future. These features are reflected in the twinning of square, rectangular, and curved shapes, combined with the 18th-century key representing the past, and the lab-grown sapphire, steel and silver chain symbolizing the future.

Since May of this year, the brand of body pieces, referred to as “Collectible Totems” was launched to become the first Mexican hybrid brand to coexist both in the metaverse and the real world. The name Ethos Nahua was inspired by two premises: Ethos, from Latin, meaning character which defines and makes ourselves BE; and Nahua in Shamanism refers to ENERGY. Thus, the name signifies “BEING ENERGY”.

The moth, a nocturnal and often overlooked creature, has surprisingly inspired creativity, offering a unique sensorial experience: a journey to discover a universe filled with colors, shapes, and symbols. The perfection of its symmetry and the hues of its colors evoke a desert landscape at sunset. Its velvety structure harmonizes perfectly with the elegance and delicacy of the two jewels.
The jewel was born from the inspiration aroused by the beauty and charm of the butterfly, with its vibrant colors and sparkling, radiant structure. At first glance, it leaves no room for compromise or doubt: the colors are bold and bright, and the shapes are clear and defined. Observing it as a whole, one gets the feeling of admiring the wonder of the Northern Lights in the starry sky of Arctic nights.
Massive, imposing, and primordial, this insect finds in the painting a perfect and harmonious union with amber. Amber is a precious stone, a fossil, a time capsule, and a unique material that holds with it a fascinating history. It preserves evidence of humanity’s origins. Together, the insect and amber become symbols of a natural world full of mystery and wonder, while also representing the incredible, unstoppable power of nature.

Like the fragility of the insect, the beauty of nature is a precious gift to admire and protect.

The deep violet hues of the amethyst symbolize wisdom and tranquility, while the textured gold setting evokes a sense of ancient landscapes frozen in time, merging the earth’s raw power with a touch of mystique.
Forest echo
This bangle embodies a dialogue between structure and spontaneity, merging raw textures with refined geometry. Inspired by nature’s rugged landscapes, its vertical bars evoke towering rock formations, with each gold-edged segment resembling a shard of the earth’s history. The dark green tones echo the tranquility of dense forests, while the gold accents add warmth and light. It’s a wearable sculpture, a bold statement of nature’s beauty, reimagined through meticulous craftsmanship and artistic vision.
JEWELYRICS JEWELYRICS

Scattered
Feeling like a puzzle where every piece reflects an emotion when you share your soul with someone. When that someone disappears from your life you feel scattered, you feel broken, you feel the scars that have been left behind. Pendant based on a smet cord, a type of tool used in construction industry to apply straight lines on a wall. In this jewelry, however, when used, this leaves a scar on the wearer.

Daddy’s peace
This piece is in memory of the artist father. A silent man who was always searching for peace and quietness near the water, where he reflected his thoughts and frustrations and tried to give meaning to his life. This bracelet finds its origin in the creatures living in the vicinity of water where shells and sea snails are one of the most know. The sectional view of a shell was the basis used in this bracelet.

Lithelius alveolina
Radiolarians are microscopic unicellular organisms that belong to the Protist kingdom and are part of ocean plankton. The Lithelius Alveolina ring is inspired by an illustration from 1860 by the German biologist Ernst Haeckel. The fragility of its ethereal silhouette is suddenly transformed by the dynamic explosion of four silver silhouettes of varying sizes that spin on their axis, creating a vibrant and powerful three-dimensional jewel.

Artists introduce new forms of beauty—profound, original, surprising, and often mysterious. As Reisner highlights, beauty is not a singular concept; its plurality prevails, and the diversity reflects the complexities of contemporary experiences.

LARA DHEEDENE LARA DHEEDENE
The work of Lara Dheedene emerges from a fascination with architectural principles and their translation into jewelry pieces. Scale plays a central role in her designs, resulting in bold pieces that challenge conventional notions of wearability. Positioned between decoration and the illusion of support, her constructions extend into the wearer's immediate surroundings, influencing how they perceive their own body and environment. Her creations explore rhythm, balance, transparency, and tension.
Bracelet 1/3
The collection consists of three bracelets inspired by the mobiles of Alexander Calder. These wearable objects are made of geometric shapes and crafted from silver wire, providing a sense of transparency and lightness. The height of each bracelet creates open space, allowing for movement. They rely on precise weighting to achieve balance and suspension in the air. Rather than being solid, heavy objects, they redefine the space around them as they move, interacting dynamically with their surroundings.
Eyewear 2/6
The eyewear pieces created by Lara continue her tendency to construct frames around the body. Each piece is intuitively made from silver wire and plate. The designs are foldable and transform into sculptural objects when not worn, blurring the lines between jewelry, eyewear, and sculpture. This approach fosters a dynamic dialogue between the object and the body, where the human form remains central, yet the concept of wearability is intriguingly redefined.

Kutus
Bali and its magic… Can you imagine being drawn into fantasy? The Kutus brooch is a glimpse of Bali’s beauty in a golden shadow. It looks like an Art-Deco brooch from afar, but this geometric design is part of a handcrafted semiannual offering on the island. The organic textured finish mimics the fabric of young palm leaves. I Wayan Suardika is the master craftsman behind this delicacy. The kutus adornment can function as both a dangling brooch and a heirloom box when closed.
BROOCH | 18KT GOLD VERMEIL, GARNET 2023
Following the “form-follows-function” design principle, Gemma was initially created as a diplomatic miniature souvenir. It features a Balinese instrument and transforms into a jewelry set when dismantled. The monophonic tone at its center represents the timbre. As a metal artisan, I Komang Rai maintained the intricacy of the Balinese carving technique while I Komang Suryana, as a carpenter, sculptured the frame to support the structure. Enhanced with precious gemstones, this wearable art piece presents an exceptional enigma.
LIVIA TRANDAFIR LIVIA TRANDAFIR
At the intersection between fascination with natural elements and the deep need for introspection, Livia Trandafir’s pieces are the products of a reverie, a dream, or a psychological concept. Conservation of flora and insects became her project for immortality, exploring contrasts is a theme she likes to approach. Nature exudes essence and power but also fragility. She is an observer, and resin helps her preserve the beauty, the grotesque, and the unseen.
Hora symbolizes the union between heaven and earth. It is an ancient game that plays an important role in shaping the cultural identity of Romanians. The bees, positioned in a circle, convey this ritual of consolidating the race and rediscovering collectivity. The hexagonal cells that make up the honeycombs house an elixir with medicinal properties. The importance of bees in maintaining genetic biodiversity and the balance of the ecosystem invites an existential reflection: “What is our purpose?”

MEIRA RAUTA MEIRA RAUTA
Since 2008, jewelry has been at the heart of Meira’s art. She graduated as a jewelry designer and goldsmith artisan. Her design background is reflected in her elegant, minimalist small series jewelry, while her artworks are often more organic. Meira is fascinated by the effect of body connection on the vibe of a piece; a piece alone on its stand could be a sculptural object, not seen as jewelry until it connects with the body.
Aloe includes two parts: the neckpiece and one earring. On Meira’s website and social media, it is possible to see how this sculptural artwork looks on a model. The idea for this piece was inspired by the myriad varieties of aloes in the Helsinki Winter Garden in January 2018. It is a place where Meira sometimes escapes the long and dark winter days of Finland to breathe in the scent of the soil and be surrounded by the different shades of green of exotic plants.

Serena dedicates herself to creating jewelry using recycled glass. This passion began about ten years ago in her father’s glass factory, where she collects glass scraps to transform them into unique pieces. For her, each creation is more than just an accessory; it is a means of telling a story and conveying an important message. She likes to think that, through her work, she can give new life to materials destined for disposal, thereby helping to reduce waste.
Dalmatica jewel
Born from the study of the aesthetic characteristics of diatoms, which feature yellow-golden chloroplasts, and from analyzing the potential of waste materials, this creation uses recycled glass cut into triangular shapes and covered with gold dust and other glass fragments. The pieces are then fused at 700°C in a dedicated kiln and subsequently set into a brass structure. This process completes the chromatic and transparency effects, inspired by diatoms observed under the microscope.

This object is the final piece of a fivepart collection named “Kleine Monster.” The head of the skull was carved from a piece of amethyst. Dragons and other figures were first carved in wax and then cast in 925 silver. The creation process was lengthy, as the artist needed to gather all the stones before beginning. After several months of work, a unique art object was completed.
This object is the fourth piece of a fivepart collection named “Little Monster”. All elements were first modeled in wax and then crafted in silver and various gemstones. This striking necklace is a true eye-catcher, with the bright colors making the basilisk appear almost alive.
TAYLOR CHYN TAYLOR CHYN
Chyn uses texture in his work to express ideas and create a connection between uncertainty and unknowability. He often vacillate between feeling and reason, anxiety and expectation, striving to balance both. Chyn seeks absolute freedom in contradiction and unity, believing that one can find himself in complex environments. Through the diversity of materials and self-concept, he finds spiritual value. He believes that imperfect works also have charm and can convey the essence of the piece.
For him, planning and designing work in advance isn’t necessary. He sees a flash of inspiration as an encounter, capturing fleeting fragments of ideas from his mind and incorporating them into his creations. Chyn prefer to create randomly, using his hands and tools to shape each piece. He sees each work as only a semi-finished product, believing that the wearer can generate unique associations and feelings when wearing the jewelry, thereby understanding the meaning behind the piece and enhancing its spiritual significance.
The “Vivre sa Vie Series II” features a desiring eye crafted from a crystalline cave, symbolizing the artist’s inspiration to flow freely during creation and capturing randomness in the piece. The folded metal treatment represents the pulsation of desire, reminiscent of Gilles Deleuze’s “folding” theory, where space expands as a state of becoming, driven by desire without purpose. In this context, “spontaneity” follows instinct, reflecting the artist’s inner self and desires. Vivre
Supple
The pearly luster of the collection exudes a mysterious and tender ambiance, much like poetic lyrics sung in the ocean. Contrary to the old Asian saying that one ages like a pearl turning yellow, the mature pearl is viewed here as having connotation and strength, akin to an older person who has experienced a thousand adventures. The softness of the pearl contrasts with the roughness of the Mosaic form of the oyster shell, demonstrating the ocean-like power of the pearl, which is both supple and resilient.

Nature series I
The "Nature" Series celebrates the essence of nature, where plants embody life and vitality through various forms, textures, colors, and scents across different seasons. Inspired by diverse plants, the series believes that each plant has its most essential parts, similar to how all things have a foundation from which beauty emerges. In Nature Series I, the mosaic of plant stems and emerald buds evokes a rustic, natural atmosphere.
RING | SILVER 960, GOLD, PALLADIUM, VARIOUS GEMSTONES | 2024
Nature series II
The "Nature" Series II continues to draw inspiration from plants, emphasizing that different plants possess their essential parts, akin to a foundational element in all things, where beauty emerges. The design takes inspiration from plant leaves, with large pearls representing fruit. The lush leaves and full fruits symbolize the richness and vitality of nature. The entire piece exudes rhythm, and the light cyan luster of the pearls adds a breath of spring to the work.

Untitled
“Untitled” represents a concept of “projection” and “possibility.” The ambiguous shape of the metal allows for multiple interpretations, such as a coastline, a river valley, a shallow beach, or an imitation of shoulder blades or flesh. This piece invites imagination and projects elements of the natural and human world, creating a work with significant tension and vast meaning. The ultimate power to reveal these interpretations lies with the wearer, who interacts with the design.
RING | SILVER 960 WITH GOLD PALLADIUM, LAPIS LAZULI ORE | 2024
Chrysalis
“Breaking the cocoon, turning into a butterfly.” In the cocoon stage, “Chrysalis” symbolizes vast possibilities and a state of readiness for metamorphosis. The ecological process of transforming from pupa to butterfly is abstractly represented by metal shapes resembling butterfly wings, with pearls symbolizing the pupa. The piece expresses two different forms of time simultaneously, embodying the symbolic meaning of “Chrysalis” as a metaphor for “new birth” and a promising future.
RING | SILVER 960 WITH GOLD PALLADIUM, BAROQUE PEARL | 2024
Drawing inspiration from the human skeleton, the piece reflects on the origins of life, which modern scientific research indicates began in the sea. “Born to the sea” symbolizes a rare state of existence in a fast-paced capitalist society dominated by information technology. It represents a return to asceticism, nostalgia, and primitive power. The work resembles a mysterious magical object found on a beach, evoking a sense of wonder and invoking the deep emotions of those who encounter it, much like Aladdin’s magic lamp.

Weathering series I
How does one witness the passage of time? How does one bear the marks it leaves? The growth cycle of minerals spans millions of years, during which crystals gradually form. These minerals silently witness the rise and fall of human civilizations until they are uncovered through mining. The processes of crystallization and weathering both require time. The cycles of fullness and loss, surplus and deficiency, adhere to the natural laws of time, encapsulating the essence of all that exists in the world.

Weathering series II
The piece combines mineral geometry with soft, wave-like curves, representing the interaction between “weathering” and “crystallization” as forms of time. It contrasts “soft” and “tough” elements in nature. It explores how traces of time are worn. The loose texture of weathering and the rigid texture of pyrite illustrate the two forces time exerts on the world, which are further expressed through the way the piece winds around the wearer’s limbs.
VALERIA BENALCÁZAR VALERIA BENALCÁZAR
Ecuadorian jewelry artist with a background in art conservation. Her expertise has led her to experiment with and research various materials, developing sustainable substances from non-polluting raw materials to create wearable art pieces that convey the connection between humans and other living organisms. The ‘Living Patterns’ collection is the result of her research into bioplastics and the application of the ‘lost wax’ technique to capture the natural changes of matter and life.
Unique in its nature, this piece reflects the patterns of growth found in living organisms. The brass metal structure showcases a rich array of colors and textures, embodying the natural grooves and curves of fungi crafted from bioplastic. The biomaterial it is composed of symbolizes the life cycles and the processes in which matter undergoes alterations and degradation as a natural consequence, changing and transforming over time.
From Minas Gerais, the cradle of Brazilian art, comes an artist whose talent lies in transforming precious metals and gemstones into vivid, wearable narratives. Twenty-five years ago, this art graduate founded a brand synonymous with innovation. Her artistic philosophy is both simple and evocative: to create jewelry that tells stories. Each piece is a dialogue between artist and material, an alchemical process that turns them into small sculptures, with the human body as the canvas.
Yara earrings
Yara, goddess of the freshwaters, reigns over a mythical Brazilian rainforest where everything moves and vibrates with life. Seated by the river on sinuous stones, she shines in every shade of blue. Her rare siren song enchants all who hear it. One half of her is a fishtail, shimmering with silver-threaded scales; the other half radiates divine power. Her earrings and ring, dripping with the tears of these sacred rivers, are treasures no other nymph dares claim.
This ring is inspired by the enchanting mermaid Yara, known in Brazilian indigenous folklore as the Water Mother. Famous for her beauty and the power to mesmerize, Yara dwells in the depths of the Amazon River. Her shimmering tail is brought to life through delicate silver threads that wrap around radiant blue gemstones—sapphires, tanzanites, topazes, and diamonds—capturing the play of light on water. Zoe Chutong Huang is a jewellery designer who interpreted jewellery as a medium of communication with the human body and its emotions. Her intention is to work using different materials and techniques, observing the potential for projects worn on the body to influence human interaction. She also wants to use it as an element to present timeless designs and break the usual positioning of gender roles, resulting in a less binary and more contemporary design.
Transparency of form
Inspired by ancient sculptures, drape allowed the sculptor to conceal the nude female bodies. This collection is aimed to find the tension and balance in femininity. The artist has chosen to use mother-of-pearl, and wrapped in traditional jewellery form to symbolises the body beneath the drape. When worn on the body, the jewellery allows the art form to be transferred to the wearer’s perception of reality, revealing an aesthetic of the human body that transcends the design itself.
“Harmonious Shield” is an innovative exploration of the collar as a symbol of daily wear and protection. This wearable art piece transcends traditional boundaries, merging the functionality of historical armour with the elegance of contemporary fashion. The artist sought to explore the intricate relationship be
tween the body, daily wear, and structure. This piece invites the wearer to experience the duality of form and fluidity and highlight the seamless integration of elegance.
ZOVER ZOVER
Zover is born from the creative vision of ML Melendo, a Spanish visual artist living in Belgium. The world of Zover draws inspiration from cabinets of curiosities and the vibrant colors of nature. These pieces aim to highlight the beauty of simple shells, washed, and weathered by the sea, sand, and salt, paying homage to the passage of time. Knowing that these shells once clung to rocks evokes memories of a loved one's embrace or an unforgettable experience to hold onto.
La plage
This bold ring, crafted from a brass plaque with polished accents, features two small porcelain sculptures of a barnacle and a mussel. The barnacle is highlighted with matte blue, dark yellow, and broken white glazes, while the mussel shell is adorned with large porcelain inlays in emerald green and finished with a black glaze. Together, they evoke the beauty of shells found by chance along the shoreline, captured in a unique and striking piece of jewelry.
RING | PORCELAIN, GLAZES, BRASS | 2024
This sculptural ring adorns the finger with exquisite artistry. It features two mussel shells made of porcelain, meticulously crafted to emulate their natural beauty, shaped by the sea and gently brushed by the sand. The shells, mounted in brass, are enhanced by a palette of rich glazes in shimmering blues, delicate pinks, and glossy blacks. This piece transforms the inherent simplicity of these shells into a work of art, celebrating how nature’s humble elements can be stunningly sophisticated. Kong is a jewelry designer from China with a deep interest in traditional crafts and natural themes. He uses his personal artistic perception and nature as a medium, exploring various traditional crafts and materials such as gemstones, enamel, lacquer, and mother-of-pearl. His intention is to create jewelry designs with a modern style, aiming to convey the concept that there is more beyond what we can imagine.
Folding - Ring
As the first entry in the folding series, the ring introduces the story. Similar to the enamel wave pattern approaching from both sides of the gemstone, Kong derives a minimalist geometric form using the origami structure. Every shape element of the ring is crafted to serve a specific function, while exploring a new narrative between enamel and gemstone. This narrative is achieved through the interplay of color, structure, layering, and pattern.
RING | SILVER, ENAMEL, SAPPHIRE | 2024
Folding - Pendant
As the second piece in the series, the pendant enhances the collection through its form. Kong achieves a balanced design by merging the inorganic origami structure with natural elements. This form oscillates between floral and geometric styles. The expanded enamel glazing area offers more diversity for the expression of enamel craftsmanship, further enriching the relationship between enamel and gemstones.
