The Sugar Scrub is a professional three-inone scrub developed especially for feet. It exfoliates skin, is extremely nourishing and refreshing. The sugar crystals stimulate the blood circulation, remove excess skin cells in a soft way and fight the development of callus. Sugar is also a natural source of glycolic acid which stimulates cell renewal. Thanks to sweet almond oil and avocado oil this scrub is nourishing, extremely hydrating and softening. TIPS AND ADVICE FOR SALONS 1. Good hygiene is vital. Make sure your working area is cleaned properly. Use ProNails Clinilotion to disinfect your working tools. Lay out your tools on the table so you can work efficiently. 2. Welcome your client. Offer your client a comfortable chair and a drink. Make sure the client can enjoy the treatment and feels relaxed. 3. Make sure you have a wide assortment of ProNails LongWear and Sopolish Colours. Offer your client the ProNails Colour Card so she can choose her
favourite colour. Advise your client about the latest seasonal trends and colours. 4. Display a broad supply of ProNails Foot Care and Nail Care products for home use. Your clients will be introduced to the products during the treatment and will rely on you for expert advice about the products that are most suitable for them. 5. Allow one hour for a complete ProNails Pedicure. Adapt the treatment to the needs and wishes of your client.

COMMON FOOT PROBLEMS Make sure your client is not suffering from diabetes, heart or circulatory problems, plantar warts, fungus, acute arthritis, prominent varicose veins, inflamed ingrown toenails or any other severe foot problems. These conditions may prevent you from giving a pedicure, unless you have the required certificate for it. The most common foot problems are as follows:
CALLUSES
Calluses are hard, thickened skin under heels, balls of feet or toes. Callus is a natural foot protection but can become painful. Callus Off is a great product for solving this problem.
CORNS
Corns are caused by a heavy concentration of calluses on a particular small area of feet or toes. Usually caused by wearing tight fitting shoes. Only a podiatrist or a medically certified pedicurist is allowed to remove these.
FOOT ODOUR
Excessive perspiration causes foot odours. A’Septic Spray helps to control the bacterial infections and odours.
INGROWN TOENAILS
When the sides of the nails grow into the toe it causes pain, calluses, swelling and sometimes even infection. Make sure you always cut or file the toenails straight. Avoid making any sharp corners. With the Ingrown Nail Cutter and Corner File you have the perfect tools to efficiently deal with ingrown toenails.
PLANTAR WARTS
Warts appear on the sole or plantar area of the foot. They are caused by a virus that may be increased in public bathing places when walking barefoot. These must be treated by a dermatologist.

PEDICURE IN 10 STEPS STEP 1 Disinfect your hands and your client’s feet with the A’Septic Spray and let it dry.
STEP 2 Remove all nail polish or LongWear with Non Acetone Polish Remover and a Cosmetic Pad.
STEP 3 Aloe Foot Soak gives the skin a soft yet effective cleansing without dehydrating the skin. Mix three pumps of Aloe Foot Soak with two to three liters of lukewarm water in the Pedicure Bowl. Soak the client’s feet for five to ten minutes.
STEP 4 For a luxurious pedicure use the Sugar Scrub to exfoliate the skin and rinse with water.
STEP 5 Take one foot out of the bowl. Support the heel gently in a way that is comfortable for your client. Dry the foot with a clean towel. Apply Cuticle Remover on the cuticle area of each toenail. While the product is doing its work, use a Nail Cutter to shorten the nails. File them into the right shape with the Master File 180. Always file toenails in a straight shape. Tip: For hygienic reasons, use a Nail Care Pipette to apply the Cuticle Remover. STEP 6 Spray the Callus Off on callus and places
with thickened skin. You can also use this product on the cuticles of the toes instead or together with Cuticle Remover. It is a non-aggressive formula that does not need to be washed off after the treatment. Let it absorb into the skin for two minutes. 16
STEP 7 Push back the cuticles with the Cuticle
Pusher (or with the Manicure Stick Wood or Cuticle Cleaner). If necessary, carefully remove loose skin with the Cobalt Cuticle Nipper Long Grip 3 mm or 5 mm. The Callus Off has now had 2 minutes time to absorb into the skin.
STEP 8 The Callus Off has now had two minutes time to absorb into the skin. Remove callus from the heels, balls of the feet or toes with the Magic Foot File. Do not remove the callus completely as it gives natural protection to the feet. Use the Magic Toe File to remove the hard to reach callus between the toes, without causing injury to the surrounding skin. STEP 9 Apply Nail Serum on the toenails with the
Nail Care Pipette and rub it in. This nail serum is extremely hydrating and nourishing. If you will not apply nail polish or LongWear, finish with Vitamina Cuticle Oil. Massage the cuticles gently to nourish and hydrate them deeply.
STEP 10 Apply Massage Balm to the feet and legs for a relieving deep tissue massage. Advise the client to use the equivalent Softening Balm at home when she/he loves this product.
For a luxurious Spa Pedicure you can use the Vitamin Mask instead of the Massage Balm. Use a spatula tool to take the product and spread a little amount of the Vitamin Mask on the skin with the Synthetic Spa Brush. Wrap the feet in Pedicure Wrapping Foil and allow the active ingredients to absorb deep in the epidermis. Leave it on for five to ten minutes. Massage the feet with dampened hands, to allow the gel structure to transform into a perfectly smooth massage balm. If necessary, remove excess product with a towel. Tip: Use a seperate pair of brushes for pedicure as well as manicure purposes. The massage technique is explained on the next two pages. 17
RELAXING FOOT & LEG MASSAGE IN 8 STEPS
STEP 1 Make your choice between the Massage
Balm and the Vitamin Mask (this is explained in the ‘Pedicure 10 steps-protocol’). Rub it in from the heels up to the knees with long sweeping motions.
Tip: No matter what massage technique you use, always sweep towards the heart.
STEP 2 Hold the heel in one hand and massage the calf with a kneading motion, starting at the heel and moving up (towards the heart). Use your thumbs, fingertips and the palms of your hand.
STEP 3 Continue to hold the heel in one hand and start rotating the ankle in a gentle motion, four times left and four times right.
STEP 4 Now use your thumbs and start to massage the top of the feet in a circular movement from toes to ankles.

STEP 5 With one hand, hold the foot firmly, gently
pull and rotate each toe three times right and three times left.
STEP 6 Now use your thumbs again and massage the back of the toes and the ball of the foot in a circular movement.
STEP 7 Using your fist and knuckles, knead the arch
of the foot. Twist your wrist using gentle but firm pressure.
STEP 8 Finish the massage with gentle strokes along the feet and legs with your fingertips, towards the heart.

STEP 3 Apply two layers of your client’s favourite LongWear Colour. 1. Remove the brush from the bottle and wipe off on one side. 2. Place the brush in the middle of the nail, slightly away from the cuticle. 3. Gently push down towards the cuticle and sweep over the centre of the nail up to the free edge. 4. Repeat this movement on both sides following the line of the cuticle. 5. Seal the free edge of the nail for extended wear.
STEP 4 Correct any mistakes with the Polish

SOPOLISH SOAK-OFF SYSTEM
EASY APPLICATION IN 5 STEPS Tip: Because of the size of the toenails the use of the Sopolish Soak-Off System is preferred by most professional nail stylists. However, you can also opt for the Sopolish Protect & Peel System. The Vital Nailskin Size 0 was specifically developed for the large toe.
STEP 1 Disinfect the toes with A’Septic Spray. If you
haven’t done a pedicure yet, push back the cuticles with the Cuticle Remover and the Cuticle Pusher and file the nails into the required shape with the Master File 180. Disinfect the toes again with A’Septic Spray and dry them off with a paper tissue.
STEP 2 Apply Sopolish Cleanse to every nail surface and tip to eliminate all oily residues. Press the product well into the nail with the little brush, from the free edge towards the cuticle.
STEP 3 Apply a thin layer of Sopolish Start, seal the tip and cure under the Smart Light (30 sec. Full). Remove the sticky layer with a Cosmetic Pad.

STEP 4 Apply a thin layer of the desired Sopolish
Colour, seal the tip and cure under the Smart Light (30 sec. Full). Repeat this step for the second layer of colour. Tip: Less is more when using darker colours. Make sure to apply extremely thin layers.
STEP 5 Apply a thin layer of Sopolish Shine, seal the tip and cure under the Smart Light (30 sec. Full). Remove the sticky layer with ProNails Pro Septic and a Cosmetic Pad.
EASY REMOVAL IN 10 MIN. STEP 1 Gently break open the front and top seal with the Master File 180.
STEP 2 Tear a piece of Soak Off Wrapping Foil between 7 and 10 cm, depending on the size of the nail.
STEP 3 Soak a Cosmetic Pad with Sopolish Remove. Place the drenched Cosmetic Pad onto the nail.
STEP 4 Wrap the aluminum Soak Off Wrapping Foil firmly around the nail and toe. Leave on for ten minutes.
STEP 5 Gently remove the softened Sopolish with the Cuticle Pusher.
STEP 6 Apply Nail Serum and Vitamina Cuticle Oil to nourish the nail and cuticles.
