Youth Athletics

The Hyland Hills Athletic Department provides a variety of seasonal youth team sports leagues, camps & short programs. Leagues are organized for boys, girls, and coed divisions, under 18 years of age. Leagues are generally scheduled using a round-robin format. Camps & programs are usually scheduled at one location and all you need to do is register and show up! For more information on youth athletics, visit hylandhillsathletics.com.

COACHING YOUTH SPORTS - WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!

Hyland Hills is a member of the National Alliance for Youth Sports. We have implemented the NAYS’ training program to provide valuable information on the aspects of coaching youth sports, which today’s volunteers need to ensure a positive and rewarding experience for all the youngsters on their teams.

Ages: 16 and older

*To volunteer as a coach with Hyland Hills, it is mandatory that you clear a background check every 2 years and obtain a concussion certification through Hyland Hills, NAYS or CHSAA. For more information or to apply, please visit HylandHillsAthletics.com

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS (7 ON 7) FLAG FOOTBALL #104205

This program is designed for high school aged girls to come out and play flag football. Participants are placed on teams and/or can request to be on teams. Practices will be scheduled by the team, and games will be played once a week on Saturdays. Games will be against other Hyland Hills teams at Clear Creek Valley Park. Flags will be provided by Hyland Hills. Participants will be contacted by their assigned coach.

Team/Manager Meeting: Week of June 5 (Equipment Pickup/ Coaches

Paperwork Drop Off)

Season: June 12-July 24 (6 weeks)

Fee: $50 - $10 off with discount card

Age Divisions: 15 – 19 (Must be in High School or going into High School)

Jersey Fee: $10

3 ON 3 HIGH SCHOOL AGED BASKETBALL LEAGUE #104422

This program is designed for high school aged youth to come out and play 3 on 3 basketball and call your own fouls. Participants sign up as a team. Games will be scheduled once a week at Clear Creek Valley Park. Teams will provide their own jerseys.

Registration Opens: April 10

Registration Deadline: June 2

Team/Manager Meeting: Week of June 5 (Rules and Schedules will be handed out)

Season: June 12 – July 23 (7 weeks)

Dates: Wednesday (Boys) / Thursday (Girls)

Fee: $65 per team

Age Divisions: 14-19 (Must be in High School or going into High School)

SUMMER CARA TRACK #104419

Colorado Association of Recreational Athletics (CARA) promotes the development of athletics and encourages the standardization of rules and classifications in games and competition. CARA holds local, regional, and state competitions in youth athletics throughout the state.

CARA Track is Colorado’s premier Recreation Track Program. Recreation agencies from around the state of Colorado offer this program so young athletes ages 5-16 can participate in a healthy summer activity. Participants are put into heats by gender and age. All participants get a ribbon for each heat. Participants can try different events each week or just stick with their favorites. The season concludes with a State Meet where divisions compete together. Coaches or Athletic Coordinator will reach out to parents with more info as the registration deadline approaches.

FALL CARA CROSS COUNTRY #204421

Colorado Association of Recreational Athletics (CARA) promotes the development of athletics and encourages the standardization of rules and classifications in games and competition. CARA holds local, regional, and state competitions in youth athletics throughout the state.

The CARA Cross Country program will provide your child with a recreational distance running experience in a fun, ageappropriate, and skill developmentally based atmosphere. In the Fall, agencies across Colorado participate in CARA Cross Country. This recreational program gives youth the chance to run distance cross country meets against youth from other Cities. Coaches or Athletic Coordinator will reach out to parents with more info as the registration deadline approaches.
