Skyhawks Summer Camps

Hyland Hills partners with Skyhawks Sports to provide a variety of week-long youth summer sports camps. Skyhawks camps are geared toward the beginning athlete. Coaches will teach sportspecific skills, do drills, play skill-based games and scrimmage on most camp days. Campers will also play games unrelated to sports at the start and end of camp and during snack break.

Skyhawks provides a wide variety of fun, safe and positive programs that emphasize critical lessons in sports and life, such as teamwork, respect and sportsmanship. Our programs are designed to give each child a positive introduction into sports while fostering a lifelong love for an active, healthy lifestyle. TRACK & FIELD CAMP #104420-A

Skyhawks track and field camps combine technical development, fundamental techniques, and safety with a major focus on fun! Using special equipment, our staff cover the fundamentals of body positioning, stride, proper stretching and cool-down techniques. Some track and field camps are held at a park instead of an actual track.

MINI HAWK CAMP (BASEBALL, BASKETBALL

This baseball, basketball and soccer program was developed to give children a positive first step into athletics. Sports are taught in a safe, structured environment filled with encouragement and fun. Through exciting games and activities, campers explore balance, hand/eye coordination and skill development at their own pace.

LACROSSE CAMP #104420-C

Athletes will learn the fundamentals of stick handling, cradling, passing and shooting in a fun, non-checking environment. We use soft training balls and provide lacrosse sticks, but you can bring your own! We do not use helmets or gloves. Please do not bring helmets or gloves from home.

SPORT MIX CAMP #104420-D

This one-of-a-kind Skyhawks camp is a mix of games including kickball, dodgeball, ultimate, capture the flag and more! Kids and coaches work together to create new sports and games like football-baseball or soccer-golf. A chance for everyone to get outside, burn some energy and have a great time while playing with friends. No specific sport skills will be taught in this camp.

PICKLEBALL CAMP #104420-E

Find out why pickleball is the fastest growing sport! Players will learn the rules of the game, develop hand/eye coordination and proper technique. Pickleball paddles will be provided, but we encourage you to bring your own! Programs fill quickly due to limited court space.

BASKETBALL CAMP (OUTDOOR)

This fun, skill-intensive program is designed to learn the fundamentals of passing, shooting, ball handling, rebounding and defense through skill-based instruction and small-sided scrimmages.

VOLLEYBALL CAMP #104420-G

Skyhawks volleyball takes the energy and excitement of this great team sport and puts it all together into one fun-filled program. All aspects of the game are taught through drills and exercises that focus on passing, setting, spiking, hitting and serving.

Beginning

CHEERLEADING CAMP #104420-H

Skyhawks cheerleading teaches the essential skills to lead crowds and support the home team! Each camper learns cheers, proper hand and body movements and jumping techniques. There is no stunting, just a big focus on fun. The week concludes with a choreographed performance.

FLAG FOOTBALL CAMP #104420-I

Campers learn skills on both sides of the ball including the fundamentals like passing, receiving, kicking and flag pulling in a fun, positive environment. The week ends with the Skyhawks Super Bowl where participants showcase their skills!
