Colorado Association of Recreational Athletics (CARA) promotes the development of athletics and encourages the standardization of rules and classifications in games and competition. CARA holds local, regional, and state competitions in youth athletics throughout the state.

Get ready to bump, set, spike with Hyland Hills! This program is for all levels of play but this recreational program is also great for players that are new to the sport or have little experience and want to work on their skills.

FALL SANDLOT BASEBALL PROGRAM (COED) #204401

Come join Hyland Hills for a 5-week program that will teach your children the fundamentals of baseball. Our staff will provide a fun learning environment while your child is taught the basics of America’s pastime. Parent involvement is encouraged. Participants practice and play non-competitive games. Fee includes a T-shirt. This is a class structure program and instructors will be assigned on the first night on location. All you need to do is show up on the first night!

FALL GIRLS’ YOUTH SOFTBALL LEAGUE #204202

This is a five-week season of double header games and a sixth week tournament offered in partnership with Indian Peaks Girls Softball Association. Teams will practice up to twice a week at Carroll Butts Park and double header games on Saturdays at various north Denver sports complexes. Participants will be given a jersey and hat. Participants will need to provide their own glove, cleats and game pants. This league follows IPGSA recreational rules found at ipgsa.com. FALL JUNIOR WRESTLING PROGRAM (COED) # 204403

The Colorado Wrestling Academy, Hyland Hills and The Pinnacle Charter School have partnered to offer a program designed to provide a wrestling knowledge base to young athletes. Wrestling is different from many other sports. Individual strength and hard work is met with team unity and sportsmanship. Wrestling is great for any youth that is looking for a challenge, both physically and mentally, while having fun with coaches and peers. Wrestlers compete according to his/her weight, age and experience level. Each participant will be given a singlet. Wrestling shoes required. Both boys and girls in grades K-8 are welcome to register. Participants will practice 2 days a week and have the opportunity to compete in duals or tournaments on Saturday’s. (The fee does not include duals or tournaments.)

This program is designed for beginning soccer players. Participants are placed on teams and will learn the fundamentals of soccer. Practices will be held once a week and games will be played on Saturdays. Games will be against other Hyland Hills teams at Clear Creek Valley Park. Shin guards will not be provided but are required to play. Participants will be contacted by their assigned coach.
