SUNDAY 9TH MAY 2021 SPRING TOURNAMENT

TEAMS PREVISE, CONOSCO, TCHOGAN/ LIBERTINE, SHAKIB POLO

Previse started their 2021 season with a win, capturing the competitive Spring Tournament. Stefan Sund’s team delivered a strong performance on the polo fields at Coworth Park to defeat Jeremy Pemberton’s Conosco team 8-4. Eleven teams had entered this early tournament, the Club’s first six-goal competition of the season and invariably a great warm-up for both players and ponies. Luke Wiles in particular had a good final. Not only did he receive the Images of Polo Best Playing Pony prize for Ink but was also named the Most Valuable Player.

The sub-final had been played later in the day at Smith’s Lawn and saw a win for Heiko Voelker and Alexander Nix’s Tchogan/Libertine. They beat Shakib Polo, patroned by Kaveh Shakib, 6-2 in four fast-paced chukkas. ✸
