NEW PEUGEOT e-208 T he super-stylish e-208 was Peugeot’s first fullyelectric car, and was joined by the e-2008 just a short while later, while a fullyelectric e-308 is due to be launched in Ireland in 2023. With its distinctive exterior design, the new e-208 cuts a dash on the road, and is instantly recognisable as a proud member of Peugeot’s revitalised passenger car range. The low-slung silhouette, long bonnet and sensual curves hint at its sporty, seductive spirit and further enhance its irresistible charm. The distinctive and daring rear design of the e-208 features a gloss black rear cluster connecting strip, along with full LED backlights with claw effect (model dependent). Equipped with a daytime running function, the intensity of the lights adjust automatically to light conditions, enhancing the visibility of the car both day and night.
STYLING THAT BLENDS IN While some electric cars go out of their way to stand out as being an EV (electric vehicle), the Peugeot e-208 blends in with its ‘normal’ petrol and diesel counterparts. The all-electric e-208 is essentially a Peugeot 208 with a big battery and an electric motor in lieu of a traditional internal combustion engine. Externally, the only real visual differences compared with petrol and diesel versions of the 208 are the discreet 'e' monogram

STUNNING INTERIOR DESIGN The new e-208’s interior is one of the most strikingly designed in the small car class – and would even put some more expensive rivals to shame.
IMPRESSIVE POWER & RANGE The new e-208 has a 50kWh battery that powers a 136bhp electric motor with 260Nm of instant torque – enough to silently propel the car from 0-100km/h in just 8.1-seconds, while a top speed of 150km/h is achieveable. The e-208 has an impressive official battery range of up to 350kms on a full charge, with no emissions whatsoever leading to annual road tax of just €120. As with all electric cars (and some hybrids too), the e-208 has

The use of high quality materials and soft-touch surfaces make it feel upmarket too. The e-208’s excellent build quality compliments the overall style of the car, while overall cabin comfort and space is impressive. The boot in the new e-208 has a load capacity of 311-litres when the rear seat backs are in place, with up to 1,106-litres available when the rear seat backs are folded – exactly the same as conventionally-powered 208’s. The e-208 debuts the latest generation of Peugeot’s innovative i-Cockpit, with a very functional 3D instrument panel as standard on some models.
