Mike Flynn and Scott Angus are on the reigns as the faces behind the 2024 National No.1 Bike Shop team. Making their jump into the Factory division for 2025, the squad looks to expand their roster with even more heavy hitters while keeping their high energy pits throughout the USA BMX National series.

DOING HER OWN THING
Off season budget cuts came as a shock to Payton Ridenour and with new deals already set for brands throughout BMX, the #15 bike is doing her own thing with only a few brands. Repping her WD-40 Helmet and Fly Racing gear, Ridenour is rocking a self bought Chase this pre season. With an impressive resume for her relatively short Pro career, P-Nut is looking on the bright side with a lot of opportunity for the 2025 season.
Escaping the Oklahoma winter with a trip to Colombia, Ridenour puts her new race rig to the test while preparing for her first “Free Agent” season.
ALBE’S GOES FACTORY
Following their 2024 National No.1 Bike Shop Title, the Albe’s crew goes factory for the 2025 season. With heavy hitters up and down their roster, the Albe’s SYNDYT Box squad his their eyes set on a new line in the BMX history books.
Already showing high scores in the team category, time will tell if Albe’s can stay with the 7x defending champs into the 2025 Greatest Race on Earth.
KYE’S HOMECOMING
The Prince of Peckham makes his Supercross BMX return, this time in his Pro career. Sharing a photo of young Kye on a chrome Supercross, the 2020 Olympic Silver Medalist and Great Britain top dog will be rocking the Vision F1 across his 2025 season. With the new team announcement, this also brought up questions of a US appearance, and while its still up in the air, the USA BMX Pro Series would love to get a taste of royalty around the track.
USA BMX PRO SERIES ON
USA BMX and FloSports have joined forces to bring Pro Series weekends into the world of FloBikes. Find all nine Pro weekends and the Grands exclusively on Flo in 2025
WHAT DOES THIS BRING?
• INCREASE PRO PURSE
• HIGHER VIDEO PRODUCTION VALUE
• MORE NON ENDEMIC SPECTATORS
The Pro Opener is approaching fast. And with battles still looming after 2024, the new season is primed to be action packed. Coming into the 2025 season as the defending champ, Cam Wood will be put to the test as familiar faces and new international competition fill the gate in Men Pro. For the Beast, Alise Willoughby holds strong as the best in BMX, rocking the Champions jersey with 12 silver cups in her hip pocket.
With the champs looking to reignite another title chase, the rest of the field will be on the hard charge to claim cups of their own. Be on the lookout for Kam Larsen, Izaac Kennedy, Molly Simpson, Payton Ridenour, along with Olympic Bronze Medalist Romain Mahieu and his better half Olympic Gold Medalist Saya Sakakibara to make a splash through the 2025 season.
•INCREASE IN PRO PROMOTION
#SPONSORED
Rocking random frames for the past couple seasons, Jacy Moore picked up a sponsorship from the most winningest brand in BMX, Chase Bicycles. Heading into her second pro season, Moore is headed into a small hill heavy season perfect to show off her strengths. Ready to show off her new kits and 2025 speed, be on the lookout for Washington’s Women Pro at every stop but especially at the SeaTac Pro race during the NW Gold Cup Finals.

2025 NATIONAL SCHEDULE
Medals have been awarded, Cups have been hoisted, and the History book ink has dried. 2024 was a big year for big names throughout the sport. But on the back side of each Olympic cycle starts a new transition with a single question. Who’s next? That’s what we plan to hypothesis by analyzing which of the current 17-23 year old racers could become the next big name and answer the who’s next question.
The best BMX racers win due to a combination of physical ability, technical skill, and mental toughness.. It’s with these attributes that we can separate elite riders from the rest.
BMX racing is a sprint sport, and the first few seconds of a race often determine the outcome. Top racers possess exceptional leg strength and explosive power, allowing them to generate rapid acceleration out of the start gate.
With the power comes the need to maneuver the bike in the air and through the track putting technical ability at the top of elite racers attributes list. Form through the start, precision track work to produce track speed and maneuverability in the air can make all the difference in a crunch time main event.
Strong and technical bring a lot to the table but delivering under pressure holds the table steady. Mental toughness not only during the race day but in training and recovery separate the true elites.
In 2024 we saw the best of the best on display through multiple big races but we can look directly at the USA BMX Overall to find the best examples of Physical, Technical, and Mental
These 16 have become the faces of the sport bringing those three attributes into their seasons. Looking to join them, the racers seen in these next to few pages, apart from 2024 Rookie Pros Drew Polk and Ava Corley, will be the top amateurs we expect to make a run into the Pro classes.
With a glimmer of each attribute already, they’ve shown their ability to win but more importantly they’ve shown that grit to grow as racers.
Polk’s dedication to the sport and his engagement with fans have made him a prominent figure in the BMX racing scene. Throughout his racing journey, Polk has demonstrated consistent performance. Notably, he achieved a clean sweep at the 2021 USA BMX Grand Nationals. In his Rookie season, Polk demonstrated consistent performance, securing multiple podium finishes. Most notably landing two podium finishes at the Legacy Nationals in Tulsa, OK. Polk finished off his rookie year in the final laps of the season which landed him the third place overall in Men Pro.
Corley’s dedication and rapid progression in the sport established her as a prominent figure during her amateur career.
In 2023, Corley secured a bronze medal at the UCI Cycling World Championships in Junior Women. Then making a strong impression in the UCI BMX Racing World Cup series, earning podium finishes in the Women’s U23, placing second in Round 1 and winning Round 2 during the season opener in Rotorua, New Zealand. While her Rookie Pro season was put on pause due to injury, Corley’s brings a lot of promise into her sophomore season and first Olympic cycle as a professional BMX racer.
2024 USA BMX National No.10 Women Pro
& ‘22 USA BMX National No.1 Amateur Girl
UCI BMX World Challenge Champion
& ‘24 NAG 5 Challenge Champion
Beginning his BMX journey at the age of six, Day quickly ascended through the ranks, showcasing a natural talent and dedication to racing. By 15 he claimed the USA BMX Amateur Title going on to win back to back World Challenge Championships. Taking on the Junior class in 2024, Day claimed the Junior National Champion title along with big hill race wins via the SuperX Open class. Day has become a favorite amongst race fans thanks to the mature demeanor attached to his goal oriented determination. Still amateur for the 2025 season, expect to see Day make a splash off the big hill before he turns pro.
Silver Cup, World plates, and big hill experience puts Alexis Alden on the top of the who’s next list. With growing skills progression since 2021, she has made big strides into the international field. We’ve seen Alden’s dedication to her growth in the three key attributes with an added focus in physicality to compete with the elevated competition in the Pro classes. Continuing her Amateur racing on the USA BMX circuit for 2025, expect Alden to hit 2026 swinging as she plans to join the Women’s Pro class extra prepared.
2021 USA BMX National No.1 Amateur 2022 & ‘23 UCI BMX World Challenge Champion 2023
2023 USA BMX National No.1 Amateur Girl
UCI BMX Junior Women World 7
Technical ability at an all time high, Ethan E-Pop Popovich did two major things in the past year to show his pro capabilities. One, was his race craft gained through countless race weekends through the 2024 season. That race craft brought him the NAG 1 title in 17-20. The second being his strength out of the gate bringing his physical strength to match his technical ability through the track. Throughout his career, Ethan has already hit big milestones, including becoming a two-time Junior National Champion, competing internationally, representing the U.S. BMX Racing National Team at events like the World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland and in Rock Hill, SC earning World 7 in Junior Men. With continued growth as a racer, Ethan’s jump to Pro has his fans eager to see him join the gate with the top dogs of Men Pro.
Consistency is his strength. A heavy hitter in the 17-20x class early in the 2025 season, Matthew Weerts has set himself up for the 2025 season to ignite his run towards the pro dream. With work to grow his physicality and Technical ability, Weerts continues to find himself surrounded by a strong team to help him grow. With Florida speed building up his power and technicality through training and race preparations, Weerts is in a prime spot geographically to grow his attributes into pro status. With work still to be done to fill those attributes into pro level, expect to see Weerts be right in the mix during big 17-20x battles and SuperX rips off the big hill during 2025.
One of the youngest members of our list has an absolute distain for losing. With titles already lining her trophy case, matched with big hill wins from Rock Hill and Derby City, Landon Burian already has her eyes on the top class of the sport. With a few steps still to take to fill the shoes of those who have come before her, Burian loads into 2025 with 15-16x girls and her toughest battles yet.
Growing technical ability and a one lap at a time attitude with growing strength as she ages into the premier Expert Girl class, Burian has the potential to join the ranks by chipping away at her physical, technical, and mental abilities.

There’s a new sheriff in town when it comes to the BMX Freestyle National Team in the United States and chances are you know very well who he is.
Jamie Bestwick – one of the most decorated riders in the history of Freestyle BMX and the former coach of team Great Britain – has officially taken on the role of Coach.
“My coaching career has followed a similar path of my riding career,” said Bestwick. “I started off in the UK and later made the jump to the USA to be the best rider I could be. Coaching Great Britain has been a great honor and now leading the USA team to the LA Olympics comes with an incredible amount of responsibility and presents many exciting opportunities.”
Originally from Nottingham, England, Jamie relocated to Pennsylvania in 1999 and has called State College home since. On the bike, Bestwick earned an unprecedented 13 X Games Gold Medals in BMX Vert. On the coaching side, Jamie led Great Britain to three medals – a Gold for Charlotte Worthington and Bronze for Declan Brooks in 2020 and a Silver for Kieran Reilly in 2024.
After getting acquainted with his new team, Bestwick’s sights are set on the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028.
“The three-plus years that we have leading up to LA gives us time to develop new talent and continue developing the existing Elite riders on the USA roster,” said Bestwick.
Step one is an upcoming team camp at COR Park in South Jordan, Utah – the incredible facility that was created as a training ground for the ’24 Olympics and also home of the ’24 USA BMX Freestyle Series Final. Jamie looks at this as an opportunity to get acquainted with his new team and get a pulse on what makes each rider tick. Team
USA veterans Hannah Roberts, Perris Benegas, Angie Marino, Nick Bruce, Marcus Christopher, and Justin Dowell plan to attend, along with rising stars Brady Baker, Kaden Stone, Bryce Tryon, and Jacob Thiem. While only time will tell how this story plays out, it’s safe to say optimism is in the air in the United States. The riders are excited about their new coach, Bestwick is motivated and ready to get to work, and the 2028 Olympics will be here before we know it!
These things are everywhere. From Nationals to locals the SYNDYT SYB 210 is hitting the BMX scene in a big way. Designed in California by BMX Hall of Famer Toby Henderson, the new frame features that oversized design with stiffness and responsiveness at the top of its attributes. Fully hitting the
market at the start of 2025, the response from racers has been nothing short of glowing.
“The stiffness and power delivery instantly improved my acceleration, proven by setting an all-time personal record on my first session on the frame.” Drew Polk went on to say, “The
WHO’S ON ‘EM?
cornering is unmatched as well, giving me the most control and confidence I’ve ever felt, allowing me to perform at my full potential in every turn.”
Charging into the brand’s first full season, don’t be surprised when each class has a SYNDYT riding top dog.

Alise Willoughby: World Champion and Olympic Silver Medalist
January/ February, 2025, PULL BMX –star in the world of BMX racing, known for his incredible speed, precision, and competitive spirit. Hailing from Montana, training in Gilbert, Arizona, Wood quickly gained recogni tion as one of the most talent ed young riders in the sport, consistently dominating races across national and interna tional circuits. With a unique combination of technical skills, explosive power, and strategic race lines, he has cemented himself as a force to be reck oned with in professional BMX. A standout on the USA BMX circuit, Wood has collected nu merous victories, often wowing fans with his ability to perform under pressure. His dedication to training, both on and off the track, has allowed him to recover and excel even after setbacks. Known for his all business demean or on the track and strong work ethic, The Cowboy has become a role model for aspiring BMX riders around the globe.
Cam Wood got into BMX racing after his mom discovered a flyer for a local track in Bozeman. As a child, he loved riding his bike, making jumps, and exploring yards. After trying BMX, he immediately fell in love with the sport’s adrenaline rush and individual competition, racing nonstop since the age of three.
From an early age, Cam Wood learned that BMX racing allowed him to express himself more than team sports. He appreciated the head-to-head competition and the personal responsibility it required. The anticipation and all-out effort in a short race made it a unique and thrilling
to the sport.
Cam Wood decided to bypass the A Pro class and go straight into AA because he believed it would help him develop faster as a racer. Toward the end of his amateur career, he was already performing at a high level and
felt he was close to being ready for the next step. Although he didn’t fully know what to expect, he saw the decision as an opportunity to push himself by competing against the best riders right away. He understood that he might struggle at first but was
willing to learn the hard way, believing that facing tougher competition early on would benefit him in the long run more than spending time in A Pro.
The decision quickly proved to be the right one. His first pro race at Black Mountain resulted in a second-place finish behind
Corben Sharrah, a racer he had looked up to. Soon after, he earned a podium spot alongside Sharrah and Nic Long, two riders he had grown up watching. Another podium finish in Houston, in a deep field of international competitors, further validated his choice. These
early successes reinforced his confidence, confirming that diving straight into AA Pro was the best path for his growth as a BMX racer.
When climbing the stairs for a main event, Cam Wood’s mindset is centered on self-awareness and focus. At 23, having experienced the biggest stages in BMX racing, he approaches these high-pressure moments by sticking to his habits, routines, and procedures that help him perform at his best. He acknowledges that pressure can be a distraction, so he constantly reminds himself to stay in his lane and focus solely on his own process and abilities. By maintaining this mindset, he ensures that he can produce his best effort when it matters most. For him, success comes down to knowing himself, understanding his tendencies, and executing the key details that lead to peak performance.
What surprised Cam Wood the most about his first Olympic cycle for the 2024 Games was everything outside the race venue. The Olympic environment, the village, and the immense hype surrounding the event created emotions he had never experienced before. After years of dreaming and working toward this goal, the reality of being there brought a unique and indescribable sense of pride.
“You realize what’s happening, the track looks different, the spectacle is a little bit different, but once the gate call started, everything felt pretty standard and normal for me,” said Wood.
While the atmosphere off the track felt like a completely different world, race day itself felt surprisingly normal. Once the gate dropped, it was just another competition, and he was able to focus on his performance. He felt he managed his
attention well, staying focused on what he needed to do. However, the deeper realization of representing his country at the highest level of sport was unforgettable. In those moments, he found himself balancing the overwhelming emotions of the experience with the need to stay dialed in on his race, making it a truly special and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
For Cam Wood, the greatest satisfaction of being a professional BMX racer comes from getting to do what he loves every day. His passion for the sport and competition drives him, and he wakes up each day with a deep curiosity about
how good he can become. This curiosity fuels his motivation, whether he’s racing or training. BMX is more than just a sport to him—it’s a way to express himself and his personality. The excitement he feels, both on race days and during preparation, keeps him fully invested in his journey. His deep love for BMX and sport in general makes every moment in his career fulfilling.
For Cam Wood, realizing he was now one of the USA BMX Pro Series champions took time to sink in. As a kid, he spent nearly a decade in the stands watching the night show, never imagining he’d one day stand

on that stage himself. He had once dreamed of earning that moment as an amateur but never got the chance, making the experience as a pro even more surreal.
“...as an athlete, that’s probably the most rewarding feeling there is, It’s just a special thing and it’s crazy that the cup is in my house.” said Wood.
In the moment, he was in shock and didn’t fully process it. It wasn’t until he had time to sit down, relax, and rewatch everything that it truly set in. Looking back, he felt immense pride in the effort and resilience it took to reach that level and execute when it mattered most. For him, that night represented everything he strives for as an athlete. Winning the title and bringing the cup home was an incredibly special and rewarding experience, one that still feels surreal. Cam Wood prepares for a new season by continuously evolving
and adapting. He recognizes that BMX is always progressing, and past successes don’t guarantee future results. To stay competitive, he embraces a mindset of constant improvement, always looking for ways to refine his skills and grow as an athlete.
For him, the journey is far from over—he sees his career as just beginning, with many more goals to accomplish. His preparation and training intensity remain unwavering, but he stays focused on finding new ways to improve. By taking it one lap at a time, he remains committed to pushing his limits and seeing where his dedication will take him in the long run.

Just 10 days past the new year, bikes get cleaned, riders start their stretches, and factory supporters warm up their vocal cords for the 2025 season opener. Finishing the regular season in 2024 around City of Industry, the build crew came back with another flow-heavy track with a bit of spice added on. The BMX social ethos exploded as the final feature of the season opener moguls got packed in. MOGULS? Yep, straight out of the 1980s, the old-school obstacle made its return to put racers of today outside of their comfort zone.
The frantic typing online and the hustle down to the fenceline to scope out the moguls quickly subsided

as the rest of the track proved to be the real challenge through the race days. With a speed-driven holeshot coming to a beefy triple to kick off the second straight, a smooth and consistent line was a race-win key. A couple of racers had that line locked in charging through the older expert and cruiser classes where early national points were on the line. Flying around the track on both bikes, Cutter Godaire impressed the fencline with fast laps through qualifying and even wow’d the crowd during his Saturday expert main event. Going for the pull double manual over the holeshot triple, the line was impressive but Danny Waters’ pull on manual off accelerated him closer to the top spot. Even with that speed boost Godaire made Waters wait unitl the 15x main on Sunday to claim his victory. Morris found the fast lines through the second and third straights on both bikes helping him in his total point shootout against Llyod Sherrod in both 24” and 20” battles.
Morris has been a consistent star of the sport while Derin Merten of the 15-16x Girls class has become the rising star. Taking home big wins throughout the past couple years, Merten kicked off her 2025 season with a Pro/Am win and a pair of class wins in dominating fashion.

Outdoor, here we come! The second stop on the USA BMX National Tour heads to the No. 1 track in the country, Okeeheelee BMX. The long-standing “House of Speed” has been home to plenty of big names over the years, and in 2025, that legacy continues with a stacked lineup across the moto
As racers dialed in the track during practice and Friday’s World Qualifier, we made mental notes of the race lines that set the winners apart. Lines like the pump-in manual out into turn one or the deep dive through turn two, paired with the outside power down the tight dog-leg last straight, were key to
With their qualifying medallions tucked safely away in helmet bags, racers loaded into the chutes, ready for National racing on Saturday morning. The action ramped up right out of the gate, with the Female and 14+ Pro/Ams delivering thrilling battles that kept fans on the edge of their seats. Jacy Moore claimed victories on both days, thanks to her deep dive move in turn two, where she passed Alexis Alden, and her dominating three-for-three total points win on Sunday. The men’s side also saw a pair of wins, with Cam Bramer bouncing back from an off-season heart procedure to beat a tough field of Florida and international racers.
As the amateurs hit the track, a few classes stood out. In 10x Girls, a bar-to-bar battle between Julieta Gomez from Bogotá, Colombia, and Zahra Urena from Boca Raton, Florida, lit up the track, with a nailbiting finish all the way to the line.
A similar rivalry unfolded in the 13-14 Girls Cruiser class, where Arianna Longhini and Chase Burian faced off. On Sunday, Burian charged to a holeshot, but Longhini stayed close, diving low to take the lead

PRO/AM PACK: The Pro/Am motosheets were filled with heat. Through the motos you could find Rayne Lankford, Tyler Henry, and Taylor Riedemann in the front of the pack.
In 16x, the weekend delivered a story of redemption for local racer Evan Esposito, who aimed to capitalize on his home-track advantage. Despite coming unclipped down the first straight in Saturday’s main, Esposito battled back to secure second place behind Ontario’s Zakary Kaiser. On Sunday, Esposito turned the tables, keeping his pistons firing to stretch out a lead for the win, swapping places with Kaiser to go one two. From a two-rider to a three-rider showdown, the 15-16x Girls class brought Montana and Missouri riders to Florida’s home turf. On Saturday, Landon Burian and Lola Jonjevic emerged as early leaders, but Florida’s Avery Jones was lurking mid-pack. By the third straight, Jones passed into third, then lined up an outside charge to turn her third-place position into second at the stripe, finishing just behind Montana’s Landon Burian. Every National event showcases the pinnacle amateur class, and the 17-20x category did not disappoint. Sunday’s 17-20x racing saw Matthew Weertz take an early lead, aiming for a repeat victory. Chasing him, Drake Velador and Ethan Popovich capitalized on an open door in turn two, setting up a dramatic power struggle down the final straight. With Velador in the lead, Popovich was forced to hug

Racing Towards a Brighter Future: BMX and NASCAR Unite to Give Back
The worlds of BMX and NASCAR came together to inspire, empower, and give back to the next generation. The USA BMX Foundation, in partnership with Mongoose Bikes, Swire Coca-Cola, and NASCAR driver Jack Wood, hosted an event that left a lasting impact on the teenagers of the Boys and Girls Club of Littleton, Arizona.
This unique collaboration combined the high-speed excitement of racing with meaningful life lessons on perseverance, goal setting, and self-belief. The event kicked off with a powerful moment—a generous donation from Mongoose of 26 brand-new bikes, complete with helmets and custom jerseys, ensuring that each teen had the opportunity to experience the joy of riding. Thanks to the connections of Marc Hayes with Roush Racing, Mongoose Bicycles, and the McAnally-Hilgemann Racing Team, there was no direct expense to the USA BMX Foundation, allowing the organization to focus on creating an unforgettable experience for the kids.
More Than Just Bikes
Beyond the thrill of receiving their new rides, the teenagers had the chance to hear firsthand from top athletes who know what it takes to succeed. BMX Olympians Cam Wood and Brooke Crain, along with Mason Hayes and NASCAR driver Jack Wood, shared their personal journeys—stories of dedication, overcoming setbacks, and staying committed to their dreams.
For Cam Wood, BMX Olympian, this event was especially meaningful. Growing up in the BMX community, he understands how powerful a bike can be—not just as a tool for competition, but as a vehicle for confidence and independence. “BMX has given me everything,” said
Wood. “Seeing these kids get their first bikes and hearing them talk about what they want to accomplish—that’s what it’s all about.”
One of the most emotional moments came when three students learned how to ride a bike for the first time. The crowd cheered as they found their balance, proving that every small victory counts.
A Night at the Track
The excitement didn’t stop there. On Friday night, the teens headed to Phoenix Raceway to witness Jack Wood in action at the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. The energy was electric as they watched their new mentor take on the high-speed challenge. Despite an early crash that ended his race, Jack’s determination and resilience left an impression on the young spectators. “Racing teaches you to keep going, no matter what,” he shared. “That’s a lesson for the track and for life.”
A Legacy of Giving Back
For the USA BMX Foundation, this event was another step in their mission to provide young people with opportunities through the power of BMX. With support from partners like Mongoose Bikes and Swire Coca-Cola, they’re not only giving kids the tools to ride but also the motivation to dream bigger.
As the week came to an end, the impact was clear—new bikes, new skills, and new inspiration to chase goals, whether on two wheels or beyond. Cam Wood, Jack Wood, and the entire team proved that the real race is the one toward a brighter future.

The Blue Ridge Nationals might be the first time a lot of the North East riders have been on their bikes since Grands, I heard that stated quite a few times walking around the venue and it is true. This location has a killer track build every year, the dirt is always stored inside the arena so it is very consistent. It might be hard to believe but this was already the fifth year that the Blue Ridge Nationals was the first North East national. The track was a similar layout to the previous years, but had a few nice additions. Unlike years in the past there were not a lot of wrecks in the turns, well maybe there still were a lot in the first turn with riders trying to go four wide. The other spot that gave riders issues was the double into the first turn, quite a few riders ate it over that.
BATTLES: Packed in tight, Heston
and Knox Reeves were packed in tight for their 10 Cruiser battles.

ABBEY SPEED:
Repping the Crusaders Cycling squad, Rita Fedewa and Kaylyn Miller brought fast laps to Virginia.
THE FASTEST DESIGNER?: While Ronan Weber lays down fast laps around the track, he also brings fast designs to frames, helmets and plates throughout BMX with R9 Designs.
The moto count this year was right back to where it was previously between 220 and 240 motos, last year the count was insane at over 400 motos due to this being the only East Coast World Qualifier.
In Fridays 11 Cruiser Main Cody Young had the early lead out of turn one, while the two side-byside second place riders, Trenton Paxman and Connor Beckley were fighting to see who would stay in second. While Paxman and Beckley banged bars for second place, Young pulled away in a couple bike length lead. Young cleanly cleared the double into turn two and tried to hold onto the lead, however, his front tire slid in the middle of turn two and ejected him. Paxman and Beckley narrowly missed tumbling and sliding Cody Young and his bike, but Beckley had to slow down, as he swerved to the bottom of the turn to avoid the wreck. While Beckley slowed, Ashton Hester moved into the second position. The three riders stayed in that order over the finish line.
The 15 Cruiser Main on Friday was a good example of turn one wreckage as Taylor Koll and Camron Pyper locked bars in first and second place in the middle of the turn. Koll was tossed to the inside and fell while Pyper rode
away in the lead until he got to turn two. Matt Badanik raced under him in the turn and left in the lead. While the door was open Maddox Perry also went past Pyper to finish in second place.
As mentioned earlier the double into turn one gave many riders trouble, one perfect example was on Saturday in 17-20 Women Expert when Alexis Alden and Rita Fedewa, who were side-by-side with and pulling away from the pack, collided in the valley of the double. Fedewa seemed to land crooked and was almost under Double A’s front tire when went careening off to the outside of the track. As if unaffected, Alden didn’t miss a beat and went on to win the race. The moto might have ended differently had Fedewa not lost control in the double.
Thirteen Expert on Saturday was another prime example of carnage in turn two when the second and third place riders slammed into each other and one went OTB while the other just slid out. These two caused the big one and took out a few other riders in the exchange. Landon Donnelly, who was in first easily went on to win while Frankie Martinez and Liam Purchase also cleanly made it through the wreckage to finish in second and third.
OFF THE COUCH: From his couch in California to the front of the pack in Virginia. Shatty may not have felt ready for the weekend but he left Blue Ridge with some solid scores in 15x.
FOUR LEGS OF SPEED: Track dogs are the best dogs.
FIRST STRAIGHT FEIRCE: Avery Jones and Addison Thompson took the first two gates to show off their first straight speed. Thompson used that speed to snag the three peat for 15-16x Girls.
STAGING
WITH THE BOYS: Some of the best memories in BMX come from talking trash and goofing off in staging.
ANSWER ARMY: On the charge in 15-16 Girls Cruiser, Makilah Davis and Tatum Pierce dive into turn one.
THE DAY’S FLYING BYE:
Conquering the double into turn one was half the battle for the expert classes and Sean Day had a tap manual trick up his sleeve.
EL TIBURON: The BMX Sharks young gun laid down 6x fast laps with his ROC 1 plate proudly on display.

BEYOND THE BERM
ABBOTSFORD BMX
Nestled in the heart of British Columbia’s Fraser Valley, Abbotsford BMX has evolved from a local racing venue into a cornerstone of Canada’s BMX community. Its journey reflects a commitment to the sport’s growth, from grassroots participation to hosting international competitions.
Track Operator Derek Theroux began racing in 1996 at the age of 12. After a near 20 year hiatus, BMX came calling once again in 2018 when his young son needed an activity. Fast forward to today and it’s a full family adventure with Derek and his wife running the track and their d managing the snack bar.
During the winter months, Abbotsford BMX operates an indoor track located at Exhibition Park. This facility ensures that riders can continue practicing and competing year-round, regardless of wea conditions. The indoor track is professionally designed to cater to both novice and experienced riders, offering a family-friendly environment that emphasizes safety and fun. The club frequently hosts events, races, and practice sessions at this venue, maintaining an active schedule throughout the winter season.
EARLY BEGINNINGS AND COMMUNITY ROOTS
Established as a non-profit society sanctioned by BMX Canada, Abbotsford BMX has long been dedicated to fostering a family-friendly environment for riders of all ages. The club operates both indoor and outdoor tracks, ensuring year-round accessibility for enthusiasts.
DEVELOPMENT OF A WORLD-CLASS FACILITY
A significant milestone in the club’s history was the construction of an Olympic-standard Supercross track in 2011. This project was made possible through funding from the athlete-focused charity B2ten and support from the City of Abbotsford. The track, featuring an eight-meter-high start hill, became one of only three such facilities in North America at the time.
HOSTING INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS
The upgraded facility enabled Abbotsford BMX to host prestigious events, including a round of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup in September 2012—the first time Canada hosted such an event. This competition attracted elite riders from over 30 countries, many fresh from the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Beyond international competitions, Abbotsford BMX serves as the Canadian National BMX Team’s training base. The track has hosted numerous significant events, such as the Canada Cup and BC Cup series, solidifying its reputation as a premier BMX venue in Canada.
NOTE: This track directory is as of FEBRUARY 2025 - and subject to change. Always call your track or check their website and/or USABMX.com before going to the track.

Welcome to 2025!!
Dear Gabi, DID YOU KNOW?
When looking up your points on the website, please be sure to select the correct year you want to view in the drop down box!!
REMEMBER...the number to the left of your name in the 2024 final district points is your new bike number. If you have an earned number from 2024 you must run that earned number!
You will know when you get that move up win before we do, the easiest way to keep track is to keep a pocket calendar with your gear bag and on the day you race, note the track and your finish!
Your age on the website is posted based on the points you are looking at – District will show your age at the end of the season 12/15; State/Provincial will show your age at your State/Provincial final; Gold Cup will show your age at the Gold Cup final for your region.
If you move, you still have to contact Membership to get your address changed on your membership record so you continue to receive the magazine (for first family memberships).
RULE CHANGE REGARDING HOW WE COUNT A MOVE UP WIN:
Ages 5 & Under through 16: Riders must beat at least 2 others who are in their age group or older and at the same skill level or higher.
Ages 17 & Over: Riders must beat at least 2 others who are in their age group or younger and at the same skill level or higher.
Thank you for your support of BMX, great luck to you all this season and remember...BE SAFE AND HAVE FUN!

Quick starts and lightning-fast first straights might be what you know about Trenton Moore, but the 23-year-old racer from Port Orchard, Washington, is ready to make his mark as a household name in the USA BMX Pro Series. Joining the elite 316 Training Crew for the 2025
season, Moore has his sights set on more podium finishes. His dedication to training at the USA BMX National Headquarters has been unwavering, using the long, cold off-season to maximize his strength in the gym and fine-tune his race-day explosiveness.
With the pro opener in Rock Hill fast approaching, Moore is eager to showcase his 2025 speed and prove that his hard work is about to pay off. Keep an eye on this rising star—his journey to the top is just getting started!
