Van Gogh Museum
The Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam contains the largest collection of paintings by Vincent van Gogh in the world. It provides the opportunity to keep track of the artist’s developments, or compare his paintings to works by other artists from the 19th century also within the collection. The museum regularly hosts exhibitions on various subjects from 19th-century art history.

WHY ? From November 2006 until March 2007, the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam organized the exhibition ‘Vincent van Gogh and Expressionism’. This exhibition explored the influence of Van Gogh’s art on the German and Austrian expressionists at the beginning of the twentieth century. QuA was asked to design an exhibition vignette, a visual identity and a series of communication carriers for the exhibition. QuA was also asked to design graphic routing and textual information for the exhibition, in a concept that would fit with the exhibition designed by Peter de Kimpe. Besides the design for the van Gogh Museum, QuA also developed a set of communication carriers for the exhibition’s main sponsor, USG People.
