INTRODUCTION PART B Again, if the first verse of the bible stands alone, designating אלהיםas being the Creator, and begins to account for the creation of a world fit for humanity beginning at verse three, in between these verses is a history that has been revealed intermittently throughout the Torah. Ps 104:4 teaches of the creation of these beings, whereas Gen 3:24 and Isa 6:2 mention specific types of this being; consider the following passages before we go further. Dan 8:16 And I heard a man’s voice between the banks of Ulai, who called, and said, “Gaḇriy’al [Gabriel], make this man understand the vision.” Luk 1:19 And the angel answering, said to him, “I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of Mighty Ones, and was sent to speak to you and announce to you this good news. Dan 10:1 In the third year of Koresh [Cyrus] sovereign of Persia, a word was revealed to Daniy’al [Daniel], whose name was called Bĕlteshatzar. And the word was true, and the conflict great. And he understood the word, and had understanding of the vision. Dan 10:2 In
those days I, Daniel, was mourning three weeks of days. Dan 10:3 I did not eat desirable food, and meat and wine did not come into my mouth, and I did not anoint myself at all, till the completion of three weeks of days…Dan 10:12 …And he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and to humble yourself before your Mighty One, your words were heard, and I have come because of your words. Dan 10:13 “But the head of the rule of Persia withstood me twenty-one days. And see, Miyḵha’al [Michael], one of the chief heads, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the sovereigns of Persia Jud 1:9 But Michael the chief angel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Mosheh [Moses], presumed not to bring against him a blasphemous accusation, but said, “ יהוהrebuke you!” In the above passages we are given the names of two angelic beings, “Gaḇriy’al” and “Miykha’al”, who are they? Where did they come from? Why weren’t they mentioned during the creation in Genesis? The point being, there are other species/entities that exist besides the Most High and mankind; malakhiym or angels. Additionally, there is another name given, of another angelic being that plays a central role in the story of humanity. It is this angelic being we will begin to focus on for the remainder of our introduction.
say to him, ‘Thus said the Master יהוה, “You were sealing up a pattern, complete in wisdom and perfect in loveliness.
In Dan 10 we learn that angelic beings, e.g. “the head of the rule of Persia”, hold sway over nations. There was an angelic being assigned to Persia Eze 28:12 “Son of man, take up a lamentation for the sovereign of Tzor [Tyre], and you shall
that withstood the angelic being from delivering the answer to Daniel’s prayer for twenty one days. Keep this in mind as we continue our current passage.
Eze 28:13 “You were in Ěḏen, the garden of Mighty ones. Every precious stone was your covering: the ruby, topaz, and diamond, beryl, shoham, and jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and emerald and gold. The workmanship of your tambourines [tabrets] KJV and mountings was prepared for you on the day you were created.
We will cover the story which takes place in the Garden of Eden in a later chapter, but, for those of you familiar with it, do you recall “the sovereign of Tyre” being there? This tidbit is often overlooked when reading this passage; furthermore, “every precious stone was your covering”, gives more details about this sovereign, but does it sound familiar? Again, we will look at this in a later lesson, but the garments of the High Priest of Yishra’al [Israel] consisted of a breastplate covered with twelve precious stones. Lastly, “on the day you were created” doesn’t sound like your average sovereign, something more is being revealed about the true entity being described here, but let’s continue: Eze 28:14 “You were the anointed kheruḇ that covered. And I placed you; you were on the
sanctified mountain of Mighty Ones. You walked up and down in the midst of stones of fire. Is this a man being described as “the anointed kherub that covered”, or, an angelic being who wielded power over “the sovereign of Tyre”? Additionally, what does it mean to walk “up and down in the midst of the stones of fire”? This also is a reference to a part of the worship given the wilderness; the altar of incense, but more on this later. Let’s continue:
Eze 28:15 “You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, UNTIL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS WAS FOUND IN YOU. This passage given to Yechezqal [Ezekiel] is a piece of the puzzle within the Holy Scripture, defining the other angelic being that plays a central role in the lives of humanity. The clause, “until unrighteousness/iniquity [KJV] was found in you,” introduces us to the origin of sin. Our next passage names the being referenced in Eze 28; it is found in the writings of Yeshayah [Isaiah].
Isa 14:12 “How you have fallen from the heavens, O Hĕylĕl, son of the morning! You have been cut down to the ground, you who laid low the gentiles! Isa 14:13 “For you have said in your heart, ‘Let me go up to the heavens, let me raise my throne above the stars of Ěl, and let me sit in the mount of meeting on the sides of the north; Isa 14:14 let me go up above
the heights of the clouds let me be like the Most High.’
Isa 14 details the “unrighteousness” found in the angelic being mentioned in Eze 28, when it lists what was said in his heart. The other point of interest is this being’s name; “Hĕylĕl”, which appears as ‘Lucifer’ in the Latin vulgate and has been adopted by most translations into English. ‘Lucifer’ is derived from the words ‘lucem ferre’ meaning ‘light bearer’ and is also a term used to denote the dawn appearance of the planet Venus. Differences of opinion have arisen concerning both passages referenced above; some believe that ‘Lucifer’ and the one alluded to in “the sovereign of Tyre” are two different entities, but what does the spirit of the Most High say? “HE THAT HAS AN EAR LET HIM HEAR!”
H1966 הילל hêylêl hay-lale' From H1984 (in the sense of brightness); the morning star:
H1984 הלל hâlal haw-lal' A primitive root; to be clear (originally of sound, but usually of color); to shine; hence to make a show; to boast; and thus to be (clamorously) foolish; to rave; causatively to celebrate; also to stultify: Considering that the name “Hĕylĕl” is derived from the term ‘halal’, which is used in the highest form of praise, Hallel-uYah, is an indication that this being’s purpose had something to do with the worship of the Most High. This explains why “tambourines” were prepared in him, in addition to the similarity of the priestly garments: (every precious stone was your covering) and priestly duties: (you walked up and down in the midst of the stones
of fire). Let’s delve a little more into the passages: Eze 28:16 “By the greatness of your trade you became FILLED WITH VIOLENCE WITHIN, AND YOU SINNED. So I thrust you from the mountain of Mighty Ones, and I destroyed you, O covering kheruḇ, from the midst of the stones of fire.
Eze 28:17 “Your heart was lifted up because of your loveliness, you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor. I threw you to the earth, I laid you before sovereigns, TO LOOK AT YOU. Isa 14:15 “But you are brought down to the grave, to the sides of the Pit. Isa 14:16 “THOSE WHO SEE YOU STARE AT YOU, and ponder over you, saying, ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook reigns, Isa 14:17 who made the world as a wilderness and destroyed its cities, who would not open the house of his prisoners?’
Now, let’s compare these with the following statement by Messiah in the next passage: Luk 10:17 And the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Master, even the demons are subject to us in Your Name.” Luk 10:18 And He said to them, “I saw Satan falling out of the heaven as lightning.
Compare this with the account taught in the book of Revelation:
Rev 12:7 And there came to be fighting in the heavens: Miyka’al and his angels fought against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought, Rev 12:8 but they were not strong enough, nor was a place found for them in the heavens any longer. Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was thrown out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, WHO LEADS ALL THE WORLD ASTRAY. He was thrown to the earth, and his messengers were thrown out with him. What scientists have discovered, in what is commonly referred to as ‘the big bang theory’, is that there was a primordial hot and dense condition that precipitated the origin of the universe as we know it. However, contrary to there being a great explosion which resulted in the organized system of the universe, the evidence they found actually proves that there was a great battle which precipitated, not the origin of the universe, but, the re-creating of the earth we opened with, making it habitable for humanity.
However, this battle was the force that produced the evidence many scientists erroneously mistake for the origins of the universe itself. The creation of angelic beings, the rise and fall of one in particular, also provides the backdrop for the Greek and Roman mythologies pertaining to the Titans (headed by Cronus) vs. the Gods (headed by Zeus). An interesting point to note is how Zeus is often portrayed as holding a thunderbolt/lightning rod and how Yahushua is quoted as having seen Satan cast out of heaven “like lightning”. What is also interesting, is that the same mythological origin of the gods coincides with what actually took place, the war between “Miyka’al and his angels” vs. Hĕylĕl, “the dragon and his angels”; the exception being that Heylel [Zeus] was not the victor, as we learn from the myths.
Next, take a look at the following account in Isaiah and compare it with the account mentioned in Ezekiel, pertaining to the sovereign: Isa 14:1 For יהוהwill have mercy on Yacov [Jacob], and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob. Isa 14:2 And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of יהוהfor servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors. Isa 14:3 And it shall come to pass in the day that יהוהshall give thee rest from THY SORROW, and from THY FEAR, and from THE HARD BONDAGE wherein thou wast made to serve, Isa 14:4 That thou shalt take up this proverb AGAINST THE KING OF BABYLON, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! The golden city ceased! As in the Ezekiel passage, the message intended for a human leader, was redirected towards the angelic being behind the leader. Let’s compare: Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against PRINCIPALITIES, against POWERS, against THE RULERS OF THE DARKNESS OF THIS WORLD, against SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS IN HIGH PLACES.
Paul teaches us, just as we learn from Isaiah’s and Ezekiel’s accounts, that there are demonic entities involved in the affairs of humanity that we are pitted against.

(םירּוּפ, pūrı ̄m, “lots”; Septuagint Φρουραί, Phrouraı ́), Is an Israelite festival observed each year on the l4th (and 15th in some areas) of Adar, in commemoration of the deliverance of the Jews of Persia from the plot of Haman to exterminate them, as recorded in the Book of Esther. Est 3:7 In the first month, that is, the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that is, the lot, before Haman from day to day, and from month to month, to the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar. Est 9:24 Because Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had devised against had cast Pur, that is, the lot, to consume them, and to
the Jews to destroy them, and destroy them; According to that book the festival was instituted as a national one by Mordecai and Esther.
Like Chanukah, it has never been universally considered a religious holy day, in spite of the fact that it is designated by the term "yum-ṭob" i.e. “good day” in Esther 9:18, 22. Accordingly business transactions and even manual labor are allowed on Purim. Unlike Chanukah no reference is made to this feast in the New Testament, as it was celebrated locally. As was told, after Queen Vashti had been put away from her royal position for cause, Esther 1:912, a Jewess named Esther, kinswoman and adopted daughter of Mordecai, was chosen to become the royal consort. This increased the hatred of Haman, who began to seek an opportunity to work his hate upon Mordecai and the whole Jewish people. At Haman’s behest, they resorted to the casting of the lots for the auspicious time; beginning with the 1st month, all the days and months were tried with unfavorable result, until the 12th month. King Ahasuerus caused his scribes to send into the entire realm on the 13th day of the 1st month a decree that all Jews should be put to death on the 13th day of the 12th month. However, the wisdom of Mordecai, Esther's heroism, alongside fasting and prayer led to the foil of the Haman’s evil plan. He had already built the gallows on which Mordecai should be hanged, but Haman was himself hanged on this gallows, while Mordecai was honored, Esther 7:10, 8:1-2. The Book of Esther does not prescribe any religious service for Purim; it enjoins only the annual celebration of the feast among the Jews on the 14th and 15th of Adar, commanding: Est 9:20 And Mordecai wrote these things, and sent letters unto all the Jews that were in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, both nigh and far, Est 9:21
To stablish this among them, that they should keep the fourteenth day of the month Adar, and the fifteenth day of the same, yearly, Est 9:22 As the days wherein the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which was turned unto them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day: that they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor. Est 9:23 And the Jews undertook to do as they had begun, and as Mordecai had written unto them; Est 9:24 Because Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had devised against the Jews to destroy them, and had cast Pur, that is, the lot, to consume them, and to destroy them; Est 9:25 But when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows. Est 9:26 Wherefore they called these days Purim after the name of Pur. Therefore for all the words of this letter, and of that which they had seen concerning this matter, and which had come unto them, Est 9:27 The Jews ordained, and took upon them, and upon their seed, and upon all such as joined themselves unto them, so as it should not fail, that they would keep these two days according to their writing, and according to their appointed time every year; Est 9:28 And that these days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation, every family, every province, and every city; and that these days of Purim should not fail from among the Jews, nor the memorial of them perish from their seed. Est 9:29 Then Esther the queen, the daughter of Abihail, and Mordecai the Jew, wrote with all authority, to confirm this second letter of Purim. Est 9:30 And he sent the letters unto all the Jews, to the hundred twenty and seven provinces of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, with words of peace and truth, Est 9:31 To confirm these days of Purim in their times appointed, according as Mordecai the Jew and Esther the queen had enjoined them, and as they had decreed for themselves and for their seed, the matters of the fastings and their cry. Est 9:32 And the decree of Esther confirmed these matters of Purim; and it was written in the book.

advantage and bring much bondage and torment. So why do unclean spirits work so hard to keep a person 'locked/shut up' concerning their failure or struggle ? He does not want them to open up and uncover the darkness in their soul in which guilt and shame have their strongest grip. YAH's Word is clear that confessing our faults to one another can bring about and promote healing in one's life: James 5:16, "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed..." From experience, many (including myself) will testify to a powerful healing concept of simply admitting to another believer what your faults have been. It seems to lift a heavy load when a person brings something that's kept them bound for years, out into the open. There's a tremendous release that many feel when they simply confess their struggle or failure to another!
Would you beat them up as much as you beat up on yourself? My guess is that you would probably think nothing of it!
Embarrassment is simply a tool used by the enemy (who works through his army of unclean spirits) to keep a
person from opening up and seeking freedom from their struggle or past failure. Don't fool yourself, just as the enemy can work to tempt us, he can also work to keep us from admitting our faults by making us feel embarrassed over what we've done. It's merely Satan's weapon of choice to keep our souls in darkness! Let me ask you this, if you saw the same struggle that you're facing, in another brother or sister in YAHUSHUA, would you make a big deal about it? Providing of course, that they have either turned from it, or are trying very hard to turn from it?
Behind many sexual related struggles and failures, lies unclean spirits. They often enter through sexual defilement, and it is not uncommon to find them behind many sexual struggles. However, before these unclean spirits can be cast out, the minister must first know about them. Many deliverances are either not complete, or have failed simply because the person hasn't opened up with the minister about everything that needed to come fourth. This is why it is important to bring up such failures and struggles when going through a deliverance. Even if you have repented of those sins, there may be spirits lingering that must still be driven out.

For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshipers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he said, Sacrifice and offering thou would not, but a body hast thou prepared me: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Cover and place the dutch oven on low heat. Cook until the rice is fragrant and completely cooked, about 20 minutes. Serve immediately.
There is an old expression that states, “Don’t be so heavenly minded that you are of no earthly good.” Clever and catchy cliché, isn’t it? The only problem is that these words are unbiblical. The Bible says, “Set your mind on things above, not on the things that are on earth” (Col 3:2). Contrary to popular opinion, being heavenly minded always inspires us to be more earthly good. Thus, our goal as Believers must be to set our minds on things above and faithfully serve the Lord. Paul is going to teach us that YAH’s approval is better than man’s applause. In 1 Cor 3:18-4:5,1 he will instruct us how to regard ourselves and others. He will do so by sharing two prohibitions: (1) Do not adopt the world’s wisdom and (2) do not judge YAH’s servants. 1. Do not adopt the world’s wisdom (3:18-23). This section refers back to 1:18-2:16 where Paul contrasts the wisdom of the world with the foolishness of YAH. In the following six verses Paul carefully contrasts the wisdom of this world (3:18-20)2 with the wisdom of YAH (3:21-23). He is going to answer the question: How can we be truly wise? The answer he gives is simple—by trusting in the foolishness of YAH’s wisdom. In 3:18, Paul writes, “Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks3 that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise.” For the first time in his book, Paul calls upon his readers to do something, to change something. The key word is the word “let” (3:18). Paul will use this command two more times in this section (3:21; 4:1).4 In 3:18 Paul’s readers are commanded to stop deceiving5 themselves with worldly wisdom. Apparently, Paul believed that it was possible for Believers to be deceived because he warns each person against falling victim to selfdeception. This means no one can stand before YAH and claim to have been inadvertently swept along in the fast-flowing current of false wisdom. Rather, one chooses to follow either “the wisdom of this world” or the wisdom of YAH. And each person must accept the consequences of the choice made.6 Additionally, Paul informs us that the danger is “among you” and does not come from outsiders who might deceive them. This section (3:18-23), like our previous section (3:16-17), demonstrates the tendency of Believers to be deceived and to be deceivers. Therefore, Paul urges his readers to turn away from attitudes the world regards as wise and to adopt YAH’s viewpoint so they would be truly wise.
7 He argues that in order to become wise the Corinthians must give up their own “wisdom.” 8 The bottom line: It is better to be YAH’s fool than man’s genius. So how does a Believer become wise? By having theology and practice centered on the cross of YAHUSHUA! After all, this is the fountain of wisdom. If we are consumed with the cross of YAHUSHUA, we will be sacrificial servants who will die to our spouse, children, employer, and fellow believers. We will fall in love with YAHUSHUA and be out of step with the world. Yet, YAH’s approval is better than man’s applause. A church becomes wise in the same way an individual can become wise— by depending upon YAH’s wisdom. The world depends on promotion, prestige, and the influence of money and important people. The church depends on prayer, the power of the Spirit, humility, sacrifice, and service. The church that imitates the world may seem to succeed in time, but it will turn to ashes in eternity. The church in the book of Acts had none of the “secrets of success” that seem to be important today. They owned no property; they had no influence in government; they had no treasury (“Silver and gold have I none,” said Peter); their leaders were ordinary men without special education in the accepted schools; they held no attendance contests; they brought in no celebrities; and yet they turned the world upside down!
Sing to YHWH, sing praises to His name; Lift up a song for Him who rides through the deserts, Whose name is
YAH,
and exult before Him. A father of the fatherless and a judge for the widows, Is God in His holy habitation. ~ Psalms 68:4-5
