I Want More Freedom – How Did I Do It? The answer is simple: leverage. The definition of leverage is to ‘use something to the maximum advantage’. The internet allows us to access the whole of the world from the comfort of your own home and technology is always improving. I have been writing books since the 1990s and yes, I have struggled to get an agent [I have the rejection letters to prove it!] but I never gave up on my dream of getting published. I always kept on writing even when there was no promise or any kind of publishing deal.

Remember: Someone who has never failed has never done anything worthwhile. Experiencing failure is best way to learn and paves the road to success.

I have now leveraged the Amazon direct publishing platform plus I found someone who knew the Amazon system and how to format my book to comply with the upload procedure. Instead of struggling to do it myself, I paid someone a very reasonable price and leveraged their knowledge instead.

I Want More Freedom – How Do You Get It? Change requires effort and action but access to a different, better life has never been more accessible.

But, you do need to leverage your time and the resources that are widely available to us all.

For the longest time, I used to think that I had to do everything myself. Because surely no one could do it any better could they ….. How wrong was I? My old mindset is just a recipe for disaster and overwhelm.

It’s also more the mindset of the self employed individual. Entrepreneurs, on the other hand, realise that finding the right people to help you do the stuff you can’t [or don’t have the time to do yourself] is always the best way forward. Richard Branson doesn’t fly the Virgin planes but he certainly knows how to recruit the best staff to help grow his business.

Changing how you think will change how you operate your life and your business.

Life Hack Tip of the Day: I Want More Freedom – Use Leverage And Save Time A really great site that I’ve used is called Fiverr. People across the planet are available to do a job for you for $5. I couldn’t design an e-book cover for my 11+ book when I started developing my idea for my tuition book.

Instead of spending an age trying to work out how to do it myself, I paid someone on Fiverr to do it for me. Peopleperhour is another website that specialises in freelancers who can write a CV/resume for you, write an article etc. In other words, you can leverage over people’s expertise instead of struggling to do it yourself [possibly badly] and this, in turn, gives you the freedom to spend your time more wisely. What’s more, realising the benefits of leverage removes obstacles to failure and any thoughts of giving up.
