You can have a virtual meeting with anyone, anywhere in the world with internet access. If we have 3D printers now, just think about what we’ll have in 5 or 10 years’ time. We have to be ready.

Skills such as scanning documents into PDF format, setting up an online/interactive white screen, screen sharing, using Skype and using cloud storage [such as Amazon Cloud or Google Drive] were totally new to me when I started my online tuition work. I had to ask questions, get advice and find a set of answers that fitted my needs and requirements. This took me a while and probably a lot longer than it should have done. The reason was because I doubted myself and I know now that I shouldn’t have done.

Investing in yourself and your digital skills’ improvement must always be an ongoing part of your progression into a life of freedom rather than just exchanging time for money. The internet is full of answers and information. Like everything else, there is the good and there is definitely the bad. But how often have you read an instruction manual and then resorted to looking for the answer on You Tube? I know I have. I once hired a carpet cleaner and the instruction manual was total rubbish. I went on You Tube and within minutes I’d found a full demonstration. Job done.
