Principle I tried to evocate a fresh and simple image for Amazon. The logo had to symbolize the company’s identity, and also be usable for any sort of communication event guaranteeing its recognizability. My logo design proposal is inspired by what I consider the most iconic symbol of the brand, the box. The use of simple lines which, together with the color palette, aqua blue and vanilla, stimulate warmth to the brand.

A simple typography reflects modernity,

giving the brand authority and sofistication.

/// ReDESIGN PROPOSAL REPLICATOR 2 ///

/ 26 /

There has been plenty of hype recently about the wonders of three dimensional printing. But 3D printing machines can do more than produce objects. They could change the future of the world’s cities. The aim of the redesign is to create a 3D printer that is able to satisfy the necessities of underprivileged communities in their path to became self-sufficient.

Simplifying the hardware or adding solar panels are some of the changes to the design. Also, by including a scanner the machine will allow the user to replicate anything without the need to model it first in a computer. But perhaps the biggest challenge was to make the 3D printer into a sand extruder, so that filament wouldn’t be always necessary.
