Expectations of pupils: Attending school regularly and being on time; Ensuring you have the correct uniform and equipment; Following instructions from all staff first time given; Showing courtesy and respect to everyone; Listening to and accepting advice from staff; Working to the best of your ability; Asking for help, but being prepared to wait your turn; Following the Behaviour Policy and having a positive attitude to school.

Removing barriers to Learning: Full school uniform must be worn correctly; Mobile phones/IPods or other electronic devices must be switched off and out of sight during the lesson; Keep hands, feet, objects and abusive comments to yourself; No name calling; Avoid behaviour that prevents learning.

Classroom Routines: Arrive at the lesson on time; On entering the classroom, remove hats and coats: Follow all teachers instructions first time given; Sit down with your planner and equipment on the desk; Respect all equipment provided – do not damage it or take it with you; Complete the expected amount of work to the best of your ability; Follow the Code of Conduct at all times.

Sanctions – Detention System: Stage 1 - Class/Form Teacher (breaktime) Stage 2 - Department (lunch or after school) Stage 3 - School Detention (All lunchtime) Stage 4 - After School (60 minutes) Stage 5 - Reflection (All Day until 4:10) Lates - Assistant Head of Year (lunchtime) Your parents may be required to come in for a scheduled meeting, if you accumulate too many detentions or fail to attend those given.

Sanctions – Reflection • 8.55am to 4.10pm. • For serious incidents of poor behaviour • Lockers - phones MUST be handed in. • Work provided by teachers who would normally teach you on that day(s). • Poor behaviour in Reflection will result in your parents collecting you from school. • Good work may lead to reduction of time spent in Reflection
