Guangzhou
STARTING FROM THE AREA'S MOST IMPORTANT RESOURCE: HONGHU PARK. THE DESIGN USES MOBILITY AS A STRUCTURING SYSTEM THAT CONNECTS SUNGANG-QINGSHUIHE REGIONALLY AND LOCALLY BY OFFERING TWO MOBILITY PACES WHILE RECONCILING WITH NATURAL EDGES AND MAINTAINING SUSTAINABILITY.
INTRODUCE THE "SLOW PACE"
1-Unbuilt space for pedestrian access, parking lots and passenger waiting shelters.
2-Convergence towards Honghu park direction.
1-Further stretch towards Honghu park.
2-Incorporation of public amenities.
3-Division into three specialized blocks.
4-Permeability improvement with a green rooftop.
3-Multi level public realm.
4-Direct interaction with natural features.

ECO-INDUSTRIAL PARK FLOWCHART WASTE MANAGMENT
RENEWABLE ENERGY Energy is generated by wind turbines.
Waste is converted to new materials to be sold in local markets.
Heat is produced by solar panels.
Wind power is converted and stored in the underground.
WATER CYCLE AND AQUACULTURE
Paper waste compost
1-A rain harvesting system collects water that infiltrates a biofilter wetland to be released in fish tanks.
FARMING Urban farming provides the area's need in food.
Fish farming
Animal waste 2-Fish waste compost is removed by pumping water for recycling.
Strong community with shared goals. 3-Clean water is pumped back to fish tanks.
The high speed road separating Honghu park from the farming area becomes a narrower lane which acts as a traffic calming to facilitate

URBAN MOSAIC
MASTER PLAN
INSTITUTIONAL INTERVENTION
Since Shenzhen migrants are the city's primary labor force, the right to urban household registration and access to social housing becomes a necessity to decent living conditions. On the other hand the cost of the city is very high and purchasing land from farmers to sell it to developers did not prove to be a sustainable way of financing projects. The costly demand of social housing and expansion of social benefits (Hukou rights) to rural migrants could be met by enabling farmers to sell their rights to legal real-estate developers paired with lucrative economic incentives under the rigorous public, community association and NGO's supervision that play a major role in transparency and enhancing public interest rather than directing the development towards the only ultimate target of making of Shenzhen a new business hub.
