The Jefferson River Homestead was pioneered in the early 1800s and is a generational ranch, with over 2,800± acres sprawled out along the banks of the Jefferson River. The ranch is just north of the historic town of Three Forks and only 30± minutes from Bozeman, Montana. Several trophy whitetail deer have been harvested on the property, and the fishery is one of Montana’s finest.
The solar project on the Jefferson River Homestead is projected to take up approximately 955 acres, with room to expand. The current income is projected to start at $677,000, with an annual 2% increase. The first payment is scheduled for April 25, 2025. The paperwork has been approved and ratified by Broadwater County and Northwest Energy. All of the documents are on file, and we are willing to share them once we have an NDA signed by a prospective buyer. Before sharing any of the agreements, the seller has requested that we obtain financials on any prospective buyer, etc. A brewery and modular home builder are constructing plants in Three Forks, and both of those companies have also inquired about purchasing power. It is possible to expand the solar complex to meet their needs as well. The details and right-aways would still have to be determined. Gallatin Power has agreed to meet with buyers to discuss the project.
