Card
for eco-friendly exhibition I have been asked to make a card for the communication of an ecological event. The presence of nature should be obvious, so I decided to use some techniques which give volume to the grass and with the help of the clipping mask and blending options I reached this result.

Advertisment for a Liquer drink
I had been asked to design an advertisement for digital use of this liquer which has a characteristic blue colour. Because of it’s colour and its name (‘mer’ means ‘sea’ in french), I decided to relate it to the sea as it is also a summer drink. I gathered images related to the sea and I used techniques to make it look like the bottom of the sea. Effects, layers, blending modes and mask layers helped me a lot.

Technology
It’s all about our mind Mapplethorpe was born and grew up as a Roman Catholic of English and Irish heritage in Our Lady of the Snows Parish in Floral Park, Queens, New York. His parents were Harry and Joan Mapplethorpe and he grew up with five brothers and sisters. He studied for a B.F.A. from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, where he majored in graphic arts,[1] though he dropped out in 1969 before finishing his degree. [2] Mapplethorpe lived with his partner Patti Smith from 1967–1974, and she supported him by working in bookstores. They created art together, and even after he realized he was gay, they maintained a close relationship. Mapplethorpe took his first photographs soon thereafter using a Polaroid camera. In the mid-1970s, he acquired a Hasselblad medium-format camera

and began taking photographs of a wide circle of friends and acquaintances, including artists, composers, and socialites. In the 1980s he refined his aesthetic, photographing statuesque male and female nudes, delicate flower still lifes, and highly formal portraits of artists and celebrities. Mapplethorpe’s first studio was at 24 Bond Street in Manhattan. In the 1980s, his mentor and lifetime companion art curator Sam Wagstaff gave him $500,000 to buy the top-floor loft at 35 West 23rd Street, where he lived and had his shooting space. He kept the Bond Street loft as his darkroom. Mapplethorpe died on the morning of March 9, 1989, 42 years old, in a Boston, Massachusetts, hospital from complications arising from AIDS. His body was cremated and the ashes buried in Queens,

In this Greenpeace advertisement a frog and an orange slice are used in order to create this stunning effect of the ‘orange-frog’. The techniques that are used are; clipping mask in order to include the orange slice to the frog’s shape, warp tool, pen tool, stamp tool. The shadow is made from the frog’s shape using blending option and blur effect.

In this Faber Castell advertisement a pencil and an eggplant were used separatedly and they were combined afterwards in order this ‘eggplant pencil’ to be created. Clippng mask, stamp tool, warp tool, various blending options and blending modes, blur effect, brushes. The slight double shadow at the bottom is created with blur effect, blending mode and opacity.

This advertisement, created for Detol uses the technique of collage. Clipping mask, pen tool, blending options and blending modes, blur tool, brushes, are used for this hand collage. Curves, brightness and contrast are set in a way that a feeling of dirt comes out of this synthesis.
82
This synthesis of WWF shows that the earth melts like a ball of ice-cream. A real cone of ice cream is used and for the melting earth the pen tool, brushes, clipping mask. Filters that could have been used are blur filter, noise filter. Some are tools possibly used are the blur tool, the dodge tool and the burn tool and the smudge tool.
83
This breathtaking ad combines both photographs and effects created genuinly withphotoshop tools. The finger is created and stylized from a real photo using curves and levels, adjusting the brightness and contrast, and possibly with some effects from the filter gallery. The ship comes also from a photo, but the water running over it and the foam of the waves are created with brushes, blending modes and options, filters and effects, like blur and noise.
84
At first sight, this advertisement seems to be simply a photograph. But this effect, of the closed rounded space doesn’t really exist. The perspective of the initial photo has been changed, or maybe dofferent photos have been put together and have been blended in the middle, behind the female body. Blending modes are really useful in this kind of synthesis especially for the additional parts, like the sharks in this case. Also warp tool, distort and skew tools are about to be used.
85
This advertisement, whishing to spread an environmental message. Clipping mask, warp tool, distort and skew tools are used to create this wave effect on the asphalt. Burn and dodge tools are also required. Possibly a photo of real waves has been used.
86
This advertisement is created for a travel agency. Possibly the water has been created in photoshop with brushes, gradient, transparency and blending modes, dodge and burn tools, warp and smudge tools with the use of real water photo at the top. The prts that are inseide the water are manipulates with blending modes, hue-saturation and transparency. The bubbles around the man are possibly created with brushes, blending modes and filters.
87
This advertisement, created for Burger King, is constitued both by real photo and additional elements. Those elements are found in the bitten side of the burger and are created with brushes, noise effect, blur tool, blending modes, pen tool and clipping mask. Possibly, some other parts of the burger, like the top, have been stylized properly.
88
This Guiness ad for Halloween encloses a mysterious atmosphere wich has been achieved with the use of a cloudy photo, which may has been created digitally. Blending modes, warp tool, pen tool, dodge and burn tool are used for the glass and the plants combination. Also, the lighting is adjusted with curves and levels and brushes, especially for the darkening of the adges.
89
A very creative ad, witch has its biggest part made in photoshop using pen tool, clipping mask, blending modes and options, effects, like fibres effect and lighting manipulation, adjusted with curves and levels and burn and dodge tools.
90
Several tomato slices constitue this heinz Ketchup bottle. Warp tool and pen tool are used for the label of the bottle, while burn and dodge tools and brushes are used to achieve the perfect lighting. Also transparency and blending modes help in completing the lighting and come out with a ‘shine’ result. Round gradient for the background and blur tool especialy for the second part of the shadow, at the back.
