Building on Site

Option A

The most challenging room the building- The South Option B

Option C

Villa- 150 sqm Location- New Delhi, India

Task 1 - Solar Analysis

The most suitable solution Doesn’t block the view at all Positive effect on the lower floor as well Good result with only 2 yellow squares

These solution we not chosen due to views block, and not good enough results in term of sun blocks

Three different day times were chosen- Morning, Noon and evening Dated of test- 8/8

The room is located in the south part of the building

8:00

The material was changed to Double Glass

14:00

14:00 14:00

Material changed to double Glazed LowE Alum Frame

14:00

Two windows were chnges to walls 18:00

We can see that during the morning the room is the most expose to light,

18:00

New window was created in the west fasade

Task 2 - Daylight Analysis

Existing Situation

Result for 80 people inside the room Bad result for music, Good result for speech

Option B

Option A

Changing the walls into Framed timber Plaster

Changing the walls into Timber clad Masonry. Calculates for 80 seating

Option D

Option C

Leaving only one window- Single glazed Timber Frame

Changing into Double glazed windows Calculates for 100 seating places

Option E FramePlasterboard walls Double Glazed window Calculates for 80 seating places

After analysing internal acoustic inside the Room, I tried four options to give better acoustic to the room especially for music. The option that showed the best results is option E

Task 3 - Internal Acoustics Analysis

http://solarlove.org/sharp-regains-solar-cell-efficiency-record/

The ProcessI subdivide the four facades into 3000 sub faces 3*3=9m2 I counted 94 yellow bricks after the solar calculation 94*9m2=846m2 (Total PV panel area on facades) 35.3% (PV panel efficiency) 87700 wh/m2= 877kwh/m2 Final Calculation0.358*846*877= 265615 kwh PV panel efficiency* Total PV panel area on facades* Total incident solar radiation on all PV panels throughout a year

Task 4.1 - Potential energy production

4m- 3.28 wind velocity

8m- 3.16 wind velocity

After analysing the wind velocity in the block, I discovered that the four points with the highest velocity are in the 4,5,8 and 10 meters high, The white points represents it’s specific location

5m- 3.17 wind velocity

Task 4.2 - Wind Analisys

10m- 3.19wind velocity

Task 4.2 - Wind Analisys
