Financial Aid at Ravenscroft Our Commitment Ravenscroft is committed to providing an excellent educational experience to qualified students. Affordability is a significant consideration for any family considering an independent school education. Ravenscroft is committed to offering grant-based financial aid to families with demonstrated financial need. While financial assistance is available to qualifying families, it is our policy and our expectation that everyone attending Ravenscroft share in the financial responsibility of the cost of the education. Priority for financial aid is given to families completing the process within the stated deadlines. It is important to note that a delay in completing the financial aid application will affect a family’s consideration for aid. In addition to financial aid, Ravenscroft offers a variety of merit-based scholarships. For more information, click here.
Complete the Financial Aid Application Families must apply online for financial aid at https://sssandtadsfa.force.com/ familyportal. SSS/TADS charges a fee of $55 to process applications. The application for financial aid must be made at the same time as the application for admission. The process for requesting and receiving financial aid is separate from the admissions process; however, at the time of decision notification, we provide families with a status update on financial aid consideration.
8
Applications for financial aid are available beginning in September 2021. The deadline for the SSS/TADS application to be complete is the same as that of the admissions application deadline (for first notification: January 7, 2022 for preK and Kindergarten; February 1, 2022 for grades 1-12). Please submit the application several weeks prior to the deadline in order to leave ample time to address any questions or concerns that SSS/TADS may raise during their audit process. If the financial aid application is not in Complete/Good status by the first notification deadline date, the admission decision may be delayed, and there is a risk of being placed into a wait pool for financial aid funds. Note: Your applications are confidential and are reviewed in the order they are received and completed.
Required Documents All documents must be sent directly to SSS/TADS or uploaded with your SSS/ TADS financial aid application. Please do not send tax documents to Ravenscroft. To complete your application, you must: • Complete a SSS/TADS online financial aid application, including payment of the $55 processing fee; • Provide copies of both parents’ last two years of federal tax returns to SSS/ TADS; • Provide W-2 forms for both parents to SSS/TADS; • Submit most recent pay stubs for both parents to SSS/TADS; • Respond to SSS/TADS’ requests for any additional documentation or clarification.
In the case of parents’ separate households, each parent is required to file an individual SSS/TADS application. If you have questions regarding your SSS/ TADS financial aid application or need assistance with sending in the required documentation, please contact SSS/TADS directly at: Email: sss@communitybrands.com Phone: 1-800-344-8328 Monday – Friday, 9 am – 6 pm ET
Financial Aid Decisions Applicants who qualify for financial aid must be accepted for admission before a financial aid grant is offered. Families must enroll by the deadline in order to accept the grant. Financial aid decisions are published at the same time the Admissions Office provides acceptance decision notifications. The decisions and notification are made available online through the Ravenscroft Online Admissions Portal.
Please read our complete Financial Aid Policy and Guidelines brochure.
