A Message from our Director The numbers are in…Yavapai County has grown in population by 7.5% since 2012; Prescott takes the #1 spot in the County for the highest number of jobs, while Prescott Valley takes the top spot for workforce residency. According to Emsi and the Governor’s Office for Economic Opportunity Quarter 2 2018 Data Set, Yavapai County jobs grew by 9,570 over the last 5 years, a 14.8% increase; with a projected growth of 7,877 additional jobs over the next 5 years – a 45% increase. Keeping pace with Yavapai County growth, ARIZONA@WORK Yavapai County is showing a 97% increase in total clients served for placement and training opportunities in our 2017-18 Program Year. As a system, together we have served more than 19,000 clients in the County. Together we have placed more than 465 individuals into occupational training and basic education programs. Together we have placed at least 1,500 job seekers into local jobs with a growing average wage range of $14 - $33 per hour! ARIZONA@WORK Yavapai County is the connection between business and job seekers, offering national recruitment and placement services to meet local industry needs. No matter if your company is large or small, we offer access to national job posting sites, customized hiring events, and candidate pre-screening to meet your individualized needs. Wage subsidies are available to reduce your training cost and alleviate burdens sometimes associates with the on-boarding processes. Job seekers have the opportunity to take advantage of some new services to strengthen their job search, placement and retention. A new partnership with the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity offers industry-based skills training services to all customers. This statewide Career Readiness certificate-based training will enhance your resume with bronze, silver, gold or platinum-level certifications to help you get the job or the career that best fits your goals. This new service compliments other ARIZONA@WORK Title I services such as paid On-the-Job Training, paid Apprenticeships, Internships and Supportive Services that assist your placement needs. But probably the best demonstration of US uniting together is at the hand of our Workforce Development Board. Without this partnership of service providers and the leadership of our Private Sector Community, we could not demonstrate direct investments and placement benefit that exceeded $26.8 million in Yavapai County this year.
