Welcome to “The Difference You Make,” a special edition of GenerousLiving that includes a report on the impact of your support that empowers people to live longer, healthier, more purposeful lives. Generosity for Generations is more than the name of Sun Health Foundation’s Campaign inviting community support for critical health care and wellness initiatives at Banner Boswell Medical Center, Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center, and Sun Health Wellness. This Campaign reflects the transformative power of philanthropy and honors the many ways it is expressed. The act of giving not only can bring us great joy, it also has the power to transform an individual, both giver and receiver, and transform a project or community. Generations of generosity in our community have contributed to the superior health care we enjoy close to home and the uncommon bragging rights we all have as West Valley residents. Did you know that Banner Boswell and Banner Del E. Webb medical centers are recognized as two of the best hospitals in Arizona? In fact, people often move to the West Valley, and stay here generation after generation, for the superior health care available to them. The word “superior” is not used lightly. While most hospitals say they are excellent, it is your generosity that makes possible at our local hospitals truly superior health care today and for generations. Quite simply, it takes us all to ensure the best continues to be available right here. We hope you enjoy reading about The Difference You Make and the many lives you have touched. Thank you!

*Banner Health is a certified Safe Place for Care. Please do not defer your healthcare needs; many physician clinics along with our hospitals have strict precautions in place to ensure the safety of you and family members.
Our Gratitude for Your Impact It is with deep gratitude that we say “thank you” to you, our faithful friends and new friends too, for your contributions of time, talent, treasure and testimony that help ensure superior healthcare and wellbeing for our community. Quite simply, that wouldn’t be possible without you. Superior healthcare is only available for you because of you. Thanks to contributions to superior health care through the Generosity for Generations Campaign, success in new healthcare milestones have been accomplished. While the Campaign is just two-thirds underway, patients at Banner Boswell and Banner Del E. Webb medical centers already are benefiting from new and advanced health care services. In cancer care, advancements in diagnostics result in even more effective treatments. New medical technology in spine health and orthopedics is providing greater mobility. Expanded space for a growing number of moms, newborns, an families will better accommodate their needs in the Louisa Kellam Center for Women’s Health. More about the impact you and others have made is reflected in the pages of this magazine.

A look back. A new day. Last fall, we celebrated the 50th Anniversary of Banner Boswell Medical Center. The story of Boswell Hospital, and later of Del E. Webb Hospital, also is a story of community and the earliest days of Sun Health Foundation when the first members went door to door to solicit support for a community hospital. This story built the foundation of a partnership that exists today between Sun Health Foundation and Banner Health. Along with this milestone anniversary, we also celebrated the opening of Banner Boswell’s newly transformed Emergency Department (ED), with 33% more patient beds and capacity to serve the changing and growing needs of our community for generations to come.* Your generosity has helped to make this possible. While we hail these milestones and celebrate the opening of new services that are impacting people’s lives today, there is more work to do to fulfill other health care needs reflected in Campaign initiatives. They include wellness programs, additional projects for emergency/cardiac care, along with

cancer care and innovative diagnostic care in a new endoscopy suite. With these and other developments, a new chapter in health care for the West Valley is beginning. This spring, Banner Boswell’s new main entrance is opening adjacent to the Emergency Department on the ground floor of the beautiful new six-story patient care tower. Gracing the walls along one corridor is a beautiful Donor Recognition Wall. Honoring generations of generosity, this Wall features a tree adorned with beautiful leaves inscribed with donor names. Opportunities to add your name to a leaf are available. We are deeply proud and honored to join together in support of Banner Health’s life-changing work. Together with these medical centers and support from the community, the legacy of superior healthcare continues. And our vibrant future begins.

A Life of Service and Philanthropy Todd Hornback Diversity contributes to the outstanding leadership of Sun Health’s volunteer boards - the Sun Health Foundation Board of Trustees and the Sun Health Board of Directors. Board members bring a variety of expertise, talent, backgrounds, perspectives, creative thinking, insight, and foresight. As a result, they are visionary in their leadership, staunch in their commitment to serving the community, and passionate about Sun Health’s non-profit mission to champion superior health and wellbeing through philanthropy, inspired living, and wellness programs. One who embodies these elements is Todd Hornback, Chairman of the Sun Health Board of Trustees. He also is Partner and Chief Advancement Officer for DMB Community Life and President of Todd Hornback & Associates, a non-profit leadership consulting firm. Todd’s professional life over the past thirty years has been focused on leading, training, and coaching non-profit boards and executives, as well as developing community engagement models to grow planned communities around the country by helping neighbors love where they live. Todd cultivates relationships to empower and inspire fellow board members, Sun Health teams,
friends of Sun Health Foundation, communities, and relationships. He and his wife, Shelly, have devoted their lives to service and philanthropy, thereby bringing out the best in everyone they meet. The Hornbacks were inspired by the Sun Health story from the start. “We were immediately enamored by Sun Health’s commitment to health and well-being in the West Valley. You won’t find a more profound story of philanthropy in the West Valley than Sun Health Foundation’s. It’s our deep honor to help improve lives by championing such excellence.” (story on page 5) The Foundation is widely known as grateful and humbled stewards of the community’s generations of generosity. The Hornbacks could plainly see the impact of the community’s support, and that relationships are at the core of it all. Todd believes that fundraising is rooted in cultivating authentic relationships with prospective donors and offering them opportunities to invest in the programs and issues that they value. “Fundraising empowers donors to connect, engage, and support
4
something important to them – and the beneficiaries certainly feel the impact as well. Everyone wins. I personally find deep fulfillment in that.” About serving on the Foundation board: “It’s a joy to inspire others to support Sun Health’s ambitious mission. Shelly and I are constantly looking for opportunities to help others find purpose through their own engagement and philanthropy. I guess I’m a coach at heart. Sun Health Foundation provides people a very high return in terms of meaning and purpose in their giving – empowering people to live more purposeful lives. I can think of very few things with such profound reward.”

A Story of Community Impact In the 1960s, Sun City residents went door to door seeking support for construction of Boswell Hospital. They were passionate, and dedicated, with a heartfelt desire to bring top medical care to the community. These were the earliest members of Sun Health Foundation—some of whom later served on the earliest hospital boards and committees. They also served as an inspiration for future generations. As the communities surrounding Sun City grew through the years, community support also helped build Del E. Webb Hospital in Sun City West, and an entire network of health and wellness services. Almost 55 years later, these services are considered among the finest in the nation.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Cancer Fighting Treatment and Care Advancement
In 2021:
Surgery at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center, surgical robots are revolutionizing the ways doctors perform surgery. “There are two main robots we’re looking to add to our suite of medical technology,” he said. “One is a surgical robot that gives us better 3D vision and allows us to move our instruments with finer detail. The second is a bronchoscopy robot for pulmonologists that lets us reach nodules that have never been accessible before.” Elbert Kuo, M.D.
Exciting new ground is being made in the fight against cancer, thanks to community support for the $2 million Cancer Fighting Treatment and Care Advancement initiative in Sun Health Foundation’s Generosity for Generations Campaign. Philanthropic support for the oncology departments at Banner Boswell and Banner Del E. Webb medical centers will fund renovation of key facilities and acquisition of state-of-the-art technology to better serve cancer patients. And, help patients fight back. According to Elbert Kuo, M.D., chief of Thoracic
Our community has the power to ensure these lifegiving technologies – and the best in cancer care – are available when we need them. For more information, visit SunHealthFoundation.org/generosity.

Grateful for Health & Family Stacey Lester and Deb Kling Stacey Lester and her mother Deborah Kling remember the opening of the Louisa Kellam Center for Women’s Health at Del E. Webb Hospital in Sun City West on 02/02/02 with the birth of twins. They also remember the pride they felt witnessing the Center’s arrival close to home. “What a gift to our community,” they thought. That pride stemmed from being residents and employees. They were both working at Sun Health at the time, Stacey for Boswell and Del E. Webb hospitals (hospital operations transitioned to Banner Health in 2008), and Deb in Sun Health’s Administrative offices.
Mother and daughter are among the family generations who have benefited from the women’s health services available through both medical centers. Stacey gave birth to all three of her children in the Louisa Kellam Center for Women’s Health at Banner Del E. Webb. Deb received cancer diagnostic care at Boswell and Del E. Webb. Stacey says all three children were “textbook deliveries” and great experiences thanks to the support she received. “It was all about my choices and decisions,” Stacey says. “I developed the birth plan that was important to me, and the staff was there to offer full support.” Although Deb’s health care experience was different, it was equally as comforting. When she was diagnosed with breast cancer 12 years ago, the diagnostic services she received on both the Boswell the Del E. Webb campuses offered the convenience and coordinated care she needed. She says she will always remember how comfortable the staff made her feel, and her entire medical team’s responsiveness to her needs. After undergoing treatment, today Deb is cancer free. Because of community support for women’s health care that continues today through Sun Health Foundation’s Generosity for Generations Campaign, the Lester/Kling family is stronger – including Deb, her husband Clay; Stacey, her husband Billy, sons Dylon and Connor, daughter Teagan, and their

extended family. Spending time poolside, family hikes, and traveling are just a few of the ways they enjoy making more memories together. Stacey and Deb call the West Valley home and love living here. Having comprehensive women’s health care services close by – from childbirth to menopause – makes life that much better, they say. For more information about the Campaign, visit SunHealthFoundation.org/generosity or call (623) 471-8500.

FRIENDS IN PHILANTHROPY
Time, Talent, Treasure and Testimony While Sun Health Foundation’s Generosity for Generations Campaign inspires support for superior health care and wellness programs in the West Valley, the spirit of this Campaign celebrates generosity in many forms, including those who contribute their time, talent, treasure, and testimony. As part of the community of support that makes superior health care possible, Sun Health Foundation proudly recognizes special groups for their commitment to serving and their heart for giving back to their community. Their contributions, often spanning generations, ensure superior health care in the West Valley. We honor them for all the ways they give of themselves every day. Quite simply, it takes all of us to make possible the facilities, programs, and services that are among the best in the country. Indeed, it takes a village. Physicians/Medical Staffs In the 1960s, Dr. Bayard T. Horton arrived in Sun City as the first physician to set up his medical practice. Dr. Horton would soon build a medical staff in preparation for the opening of Boswell Hospital in 1970.
More than 170 volunteers 14,936 total volunteer hours Dr. Bayard T. Horton
He was successful in recruiting many top physicians around the country who were attracted to the construction of a “state-of-the-art hospital” in this rapidly expanding community that would soon become the face of active adult retirement living for the entire nation. That attraction continued to grow, not just among physicians but also nurses and other health care professionals as well. Through the years, their support for superior health care and the health and wellbeing of residents in the West Valley, has taken many forms. Not only have they contributed their expertise and compassion to the quality of care that is now the hallmark of superior health care in the West Valley, they have supported campaigns through Sun Health Foundation, including the Generosity for Generations Campaign, to help ensure that physicians, health care teams and the facilities themselves have what they need to continue delivering that care.

Sun Health Foundation is proud to acknowledge these physicians, and other health care leaders and staff, for their support and caring as Heroes with Heart who are committed to caring for their patients, their medical centers, the teams that support their work, and their community. Many are so committed to serving the communities of the West Valley, they’ve practiced here for many years and served generations of patients. Warren D. Ruff was a well-known community leader and supporter greatly admired in Sun City and within Sun Health for his integrity and compassion. It was his desire to help strengthen the nursing workforce in Arizona and ensure future staffing needs are met. The $6.4 million Warren D. Ruff Scholarship Fund continues his legacy of learning, personal growth, and caring for others. For those who have a dream of pursuing or furthering a career in nursing or a nursing-related health profession, the Warren D. Ruff Scholarship Fund can support the educational journey to help those dreams become reality. During the last decade of his life, Mr. Ruff was deeply grateful to the former Sun Health Boswell and Del E. Webb hospitals, and people who delivered his care became endeared to him. In gratitude for the exceptional care he received, Mr. Ruff desired that the primary purpose of the scholarship be to supply nurses to Arizona. “Sun Health Foundation is honored to be the steward of Mr. Ruff’s legacy of learning, personal growth and caring for others. This legacy will live on through the generations because of his support of nursing and nursing-related health care profession scholarships,” says Gina W. Ore, Chief Philanthropy Officer of Sun Health Foundation.

Margie Davis and Don Grafton A four-month time span is what holds together a lifetime friendship for Margie Davis and Don Grafton of Sun City. The duo became fast friends after both lost their spouses within months of each other. The kinship has proven to be beneficial from a health perspective, too. Margie used the skills she learned while attending the Sun Health Center for Health & Wellbeing class “From the Floor to Your Feet” to give her friend a helping hand when he fell unexpectedly while doing yard work. Using what she learned saved her friend from having to call 9-1-1. “Don was outside pruning trees, and he fell and landed straight on his back. He already has a very bad back,” Margie says. “We immediately looked at each other and said, ‘What did we learn from class?’” Margie grabbed something for Don to hold onto so he could get to his knees. From there he was
eventually able to steady himself with his friend’s help and work his way back to standing. Margie says Sun Health Wellness Specialist Alex Stark even taught differences between how men balance versus women, and the knowledge helped as they worked to get Don back on his feet. “I was really impressed that during class; Alex used chairs and things around the house to show how to use them to get up in case of a fall,” Margie says. “He also helps you analyze how to move, how to sense if you’ve broken something.” Both Margie and Don are big fans of Sun Health’s classes and support groups, saying they have learned from the various support groups and encourage others to do the same.
Did You Know? • Fall risk assessment programs have shown to statistically reduce rates of falls. • Falls result in more than 2.8 million injuries treated in emergency departments annually, including over 800,000 hospitalizations and more than 27,000 deaths.

Community Health and Wellbeing Fall Prevention
“We actually made some healthy foods, have attended talks on cancer, and I utilized the support groups when I lost my husband,” Margie says. “I have attended more than one and always come back with practical things I can try. It is time well spent. I always walk away wishing I could share the information with others. I am so impressed.” Sun Health Wellness offers classes in person and via video conferencing at no cost. Signaling the Need for Emergency Care Ron Symic Pet owners of a dog or other animal know these perceptive creatures can sense when something isn’t quite right with their owner – often giving signals. Ron Symic, Secretary on the Sun Health Foundation Board of Trustees, picked up some critical signals last November. He and his wife, Betty, are the proud owners of Scottie, their beloved cocker spaniel. In November 2020, the couple had just flown with their pup to their residence in Arizona from their home in Edmonton, Alberta Canada in preparation for Sun Health Foundation’s annual Heroes with Heart Gala, of which Ron serves as Event Chair. He was doing yardwork the day prior and began not feeling quite right. He sat down to watch a movie with Betty and later noticed that Scottie was sitting on his left leg. It turned out the dog was sensing something was wrong and sending a signal. Ron’s leg was swelling. Two years earlier back in Edmonton, Ron had developed dangerous swelling in that leg from a torn Achilles tendon. The swelling turned out to be a blood clot that required emergency treatment and he was unable to attend the Gala that year. Fast forward to last November during the movie when his leg began to swell again. When Ron realized
what was happening, he knew there was no time to waste. He had to seek medical care right away. Fortunately, superior emergency care was close by at Banner Boswell Medical Center’s newly transformed Emergency Department – made possible with community support through the Generosity for Generations Campaign. Ron was not only impressed with the layout of the new quarters, he was delighted at the convenience, quality care, and excellent customer service he experienced. “My care was well organized, very thorough, and everyone was so attentive to my needs - even cheerful. The patient experience was definitely at the forefront of the new design, including efficiency of the admitting and billing process.” Thankfully, tests revealed no sign of a blood clot, although the swelling was approaching dangerous levels, so after some precautionary treatment, Ron was able to return home with and this time he was actually able to participate in the 2020 Gala festivities the next day.
20
Ron Symic and his wife, Betty
Between Scottie’s clairvoyance and the reassurance of superior emergency medical care close to home, today Ron is doing well and able to resume his active lifestyle and an occasional movie with his furry best friend. Opportunities continue to be available to support the new expansion of emergency services. For more information, visit SunHealthFoundation.org/generosity.

Honoring Heroes with Heart While Sun Health Foundation’s Generosity for Generations Campaign inspires support for superior health care and wellness programs in the West Valley, the spirit of this Campaign celebrates generosity in many forms – time, talent, treasure and testimony -including those who go the extra mile for others that is only fitting we refer to as Heroes with Heart. Sun Health Foundation, together with all of Sun Health, is dedicated to expressing heartfelt gratitude to Heroes with Heart in our community. These Heroes deliver health care, essential services, and support to others every day. They include Sun Health staff and residents of Sun Health Communities, Banner Health physicians and staff, first responders, and many others -- all of whom are working tirelessly on the front lines to make a difference for others.
During 2020, this Heroes with Heart theme was the focus of Sun Health recognition events, including: Sun Health Staff Gratitude Parades Sun Health Communities Car parades of Sun Health staff thanked frontline health care workers and support staff for their dedication to residents at the Sun Health Communities: Grandview Terrace, The Colonnade, La Loma Village, and members of Sun Health at Home. Banner Health Waving hand-made signs and pom poms, Sun Health staff joined Banner Health staff outside Banner Boswell Medical Center to express gratitude to healthcare teams at change of shift and during a parade of community first responders.
Sun Health Foundation’s Heroes with Heart Virtual Gala In November 2020, Sun Health Foundation celebrated Heroes with Heart in health care, the 50th anniversary Rajeev S. of Banner Boswell Kathuria, MD Medical Center, and the story of health care with community support through Sun Health Foundation at the core of it all. This special event honored Heroes with Heart Scott Lopata, Rajeev S. Kathuria, MD , Vituity MD, cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon; and the Emergency physicians of Vituity Healthcare. This celebration of Heroes is ongoing and becoming a tradition. Please mark your calendars for the next Heroes with Heart Gala on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021.

MESSAGES OF GRATITUDE Grateful for Superior Health Care Lou, a grateful patient “I was 75 with a less than 1% chance of survival. But they never gave up on me.” A fighter, Lou defied the odds. He and his wife Ann are grateful for the medical, spiritual, and emotional support they received from Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center and Sun Health. Birt, a grateful family member “Seven years ago, my wife, Louisa, suffered a heart attack that required a quadruple bypass at Banner Boswell. In short, Dr. Rajeev Kathuria saved her life. We were so fortunate, and grateful, to have Dr. Kathuria perform the surgery – a true Hero with Heart to us and so many others.” Mary, a grateful patient “When I was about to check out of Banner Boswell Medical Center, I left the floor nurses a note on a paper towel thanking them for their excellent care. The charge nurse was so thrilled she posted it on the bulletin board. One phone call I’ll always remember was from a nurse informing me that if I had any questions at all, I could call 24/7. That service told me Boswell was the best.”
Grateful for Sun Health Wellness Barbara, a Sun Health Home and Community Based Services team member, used her counseling background and meditation training to help those feeling anxious during these times of uncertainty.
‘You were amazing today… as usual. I suffer from depression and anxiety, and felt like you were talking to me…. you have really touched me with the classes you are giving. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are touching more lives than you realize…’
Jim, a resident Many were grateful for this Valley artist’s cartoon series, “Sequestered at The Colonnade,” that he hoped would spread laughter to his neighbors amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Alex, a Sun Health Wellness team member, is being heralded as a hero! Alex has been instrumental in making sure Sun Health Wellness classes have been made available online, which has been appreciated by so many in the community, as we have been staying in place to keep safe from COVID-19.
Grandview Terrace Carolyn, a resident Thank you for all the little things Life Enrichment has done to make this time period tolerable.
Grateful for Sun Health Communities La Loma Village Rachel, Art Enrichment Specialist Rachel is creating a community-wide art project for all our residents to participate in during this social distancing. Ione, Music Therapist Ione is providing hallway concerts, 1:1 music therapy visits, show and tell experiences and so much more. Lyle, a resident Dear Hilda, Didn’t want the day to pass without thanking you for setting up the Zoom party with my Mom. It was happy chaos, and Nicole was so kind to help. In lieu of a face-to-face hug and kiss, I suppose it was the next best thing... and we all appreciated the chance to share our love with my Mom. And, for me to share my thanks to you! Bless you!
Sharing stories like these is one way to honor someone who has gone the extra mile. Another is with a Tribute Gift. If you’d like to honor or thank someone in this meaningful way, visit Sun Health Foundation.org/make-a-gift or call Sun Health Foundation at (623) 471-8500.

SHINES For nearly 55 years, Sun Health has been a dedicated community partner and advocate for longer, healthier, more purposeful lives. This extends beyond its role championing superior healthcare and wellbeing through philanthropy, inspired living and wellness programs. Sun Health employees, residents, donors and volunteers continually look for ways to make the community a better place. One way is through the SHINE Committee (Sun Health Involvement Never Ends), a volunteer group of Sun Health employees and residents from the Sun Health Communities who work together on service projects that benefit the community and area nonprofits. Donations of time, talent and treasure — through giving to projects through Sun Health Foundation — not only make an impact, volunteers experience the joy of giving back.
Packages from Home Monetary donations supported Packages From Home, a non-profit organization that sends packages to U.S. military men and women stationed all over the world. They also support transitioning/at risk/homeless veterans and military working dogs. Donations are being used to purchase individual or travel-sized hygiene items and individually wrapped snack items. Sun Health President/CEO Joe La Rue is executive sponsor for this campaign. Thanks to your generosity, initial donations received from Sun Health weighed in at 356 pounds! Adopt-A-Street Sun Health loves the City of Surprise and is dedicated to doing its part to help keep it the beautiful. So much so that it has adopted a stretch of Reems Road between Grand Avenue and Bell Road. Volunteers enjoyed banding together for a great cause of street clean-up, and getting out in the fresh air. Backpack Drive for Kids in Foster Care To help kids be school ready, Sun Health partnered with Opportunity Community and Justice for Kids (OCJ Kids) to conduct a backpack drive for children living in foster care. Through Sun Health Foundation, proceeds of this event went directly to buying backpacks, school supplies and a clothing gift card for 60 West Valley kids.

Pillowcases for Foster Kids As an added touch of generosity during the Backpack Drive, two residents from Sun Health’s The Colonnade hand made over 60 pillowcases with cool patterns for local foster kids. Jean Bradford and Sharon Pearson spent a couple of months washing fabric, ironing, sewing and pressing on a variety of fun patterns to give foster kids the choice to choose their favorite. Both said they experienced great joy thinking of these children as they stitched.

Foster Kids Pay It Forward In an amazing gesture to pay it forward, foster kids who normally benefit from the generosity of Sun Health volunteers turned the tables. Children and teenagers from the Opportunity, Community and Justice for Kids (OJC) proudly handed over hundreds of handmade cards to Sun Health Foundation — making them for Sun Health Communities residents who may be lonely from sheltering in place due to COVID-19. These at-risk kids are very familiar with Sun Health as its volunteers support them with back-to-school drives and other events throughout the year. “It was a fun activity, and the kids had a great time creating artwork and cards,” says Shevaun Sullivan, Director of Group Home Relations, OCJ. “This was also a great way to give back to the Sun Health community as they have been here for these kids as well.” The cards, adorned with rainbows, hearts, and encouraging words such as reminders to “be happy” and “thinking about you” were a welcome sight. One of the 13-year-old artists said: “It felt good to make people happy and give them something to smile about.”

Keeping a Legacy in Motion
She and her husband Roger moved to Sun City West from Wisconsin in 1988. Roger, a lawyer and executive with multinational manufacturer SC Johnson & Son, passed away in September 2010.
Roger and Audrey Mulhollen
Audrey says he was interested in anything to do with health and innovation.
At 92 years young, Audrey takes weekly line dancing classes at her Royal Oaks community. She also practices chair yoga and qi gong and maintains a busy social and travel schedule.
“We started giving shortly after we moved to Arizona,” Audrey says. That is when they began what has become a legacy of giving to Sun Health Foundation spanning three decades: “Roger liked to support Sun Health Foundation, so that’s what I continue to do.”
Amsterdam, Budapest, Russia, Canada, and various parts of the U.S. have been just some of her journeys. She travels each year to Wisconsin to see her granddaughter and two great grandsons. In between travels, she socializes with friends. How has she stayed so active? Her zest for life, love of exercise and world-class orthopedic care close to home keeps her moving.
The Impact You Make: During 2020, 3,565 lives were given the chance for greater mobility at Banner Del E. Webb and Banner Boswell medical centers* *11 months of data extrapolated to include 12 months through December.
Her contributions support priorities in the Generosity for Generations Campaign that include spine health and orthopedics. Thanks to the Mulhollen’s generosity, multiple generations of patients have access to superior medical care. Both Roger and Audrey experienced the benefits from the patient perspective, as well. Roger had both hips replaced and Audrey underwent two knee replacement surgeries after suffering wear and tear from tennis, golf, hiking and more. The surgeries were performed at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center. Mark Campbell, MD, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at the CORE Institute who is dual fellowship trained in complex foot and ankle surgery as well as knee surgery, performed both operations.
30
“My knees were bone-on-bone,” she says. “Dr. Campbell is the reason I can line dance.” Audrey’s adventures would not be possible without the orthopedic care at Banner Del E. Webb. Likewise, the medical center wouldn’t be able to provide superior care without the support of donors like Audrey who are making a meaningful difference now and for future generations.
Did You Know? As West Valley residents, we have uncommon bragging rights when it comes to the superior quality of health care and wellness programs close to home. Banner Boswell and Banner Del E. Webb medical centers are recognized as two of the best hospitals in Arizona. In fact, people often move to the West Valley, and stay here generation after generation, for the superior health care available to them. We are actually in a “medical oasis”.
Community support makes this possible. Superior health care and wellness programs are only available for the community because of the community, thanks to generous contributions of time, talent, and treasure that totals more than $350 million and spans more than five decades. Support continues to be needed today to ensure the future of superior health care and wellness programs through the Generosity for Generations Campaign.
You can make an impact Through the Generosity for Generations Campaign, community support will ensure the future of superior health care, with new advancements and expanded availability of services in cancer care and treatment, emergency care, endoscopy, women and infant services, wellness programs, and spine health and orthopedics.
Sun Health Foundation is the exclusive philanthropic partner for Banner Boswell and Banner Del E. Webb, and Sun Health Wellness. Support for superior health and wellbeing through Sun Health Foundation is the catalyst for life-changing results in our community.
