UNDERWATER GARDEN

Trees, leaves, flowers, and plants are things we found in nature — forests, mountains, or your house gardens — but there aren’t many times we see these things through underwater perspective, so I would like to take close-up pictures of underwater plants, represent the different kind of beauty we normally see by arranging a garden. Although in the past, people take advantage of nature to live their lives, and gardening started from the era when people find suitable place to live, and spare it for eatable plants, then for relaxing and religious belief. Each country owns different kinds of gardening, depending on each topography. But in industrial era, people keep develop its designing; from big gardens to small ones within the building, garden trays, mini gardens, and terrariums which becomes a necessary furniture in the house and workplace.

The garden I’m making will bring underwater plants as an important part within the fish tank, as same as garden trays. Theme and plants used of each picture is different, depending on real forests, such as tropical rain forest, temperate forest, and tropical forest. Then, I will arrange the composition, light, and tone of each theme, emphasizing on over-real feeling. For techniques, I used light painting as main technique for plants, LED light for floating or slow-moving items; such as snow and bubble, and I flash to keep details for living beings like shrimp and fish.

So, my work will basically be a reproduction of underwater nature by gardening in a fish tank, presented by photography. As mentioned before, I would like to focus on over-real style to make pictures more interesting than normally by bringing vibe, mood and tone from different weather and theme into underwater project, creating new and unique perspective towards underwater photography.

ต้นไม้ ใบไม้ ดอกไม้ และพืชต่างๆ นี่คือสิ่งที่เราพบเห็นได้ทั่วไปในธรรมชาติทั้งในป่า ภูเขา หรือแม้แต่สวนหลังบ้าน แต่จะมีสักกี่ครั้งที่เราจะเห็นสิ่ง เหล่านี้ผ่านมุมมองที่อยู่ใต้น�้ำ ผมจึงอยากถ่ายภาพ Close Up พืชไม้ใต้น�้ำให้ออกมาดูมีความงามที่แตกต่างจากที่มองเห็นอยู่ทั่วไปโดยการจัดท�ำ เป็นสวน ซึ่งเราจะต้องมาท�ำความรู้จักกับการจัดสวนเสียก่อน แม้ในอดีตมนุษย์ใช้ประโยชน์จากธรรมชาติเพื่อการด�ำรงชีวิตให้เพียงอยู่รอด แต่การ จัดสวนนั้นเริ่มตั้งแต่ยุคสมัยที่มนุษย์ยังร่อนเร่หาที่อยู่ที่เหมาะสม และมีการปรับปรุงสภาพแวดล้อมเพื่อเพาะปลูกพืชเป็นอาหาร เมื่อมีอาหารเพียง พอจึงเริ่มจัดแต่งบริเวณปลูกพืชให้เกิดความสวยงามและพัฒนาเป็นการจัดสวนเพื่อความสุขทางจิตและความเชื่อทางศาสนา ซึ่งแต่ละชนชาติจะมี การจัดสวนที่แตกต่างกันไปตามสภาพภูมิประเทศนั้นๆ แต่ในยุคอุตสาหกรรมเป็นต้นมา มนุษย์ได้พัฒนาการจัดสวนขึ้นเรื่อยๆ จากสวนขนาดใหญ่ กลายมาเป็นสวนขนาดเล็กในตัวอาคาร และมีการจัดสวนถาด สวนในตู้ และสวนในขวดแก้วจนกลายเป็นเฟอร์นิเจอร์และของประดับตกแต่งที่จ�ำ เป็นในบ้านและที่ท�ำงานไปเสียแล้ว

ซึ่งการจัดสวนที่ผมท�ำอยู่นี้จะจัดท�ำในรูปแบบการถ่ายภาพสวนไม้น�้ำโดยการน�ำเอาพืชน�้ำต่างๆ มาจ�ำลองเป็นสวนธรรมชาติขนาดเล็กในตู้ปลา เหมือนกับการจัดสวนถาด และจึงถ่ายภาพด้วยการจัดแสงและองค์ประกอบภาพให้ดูมีความน่าสนใจ โดยจะจัดตามธีมที่ต่างกันไปของสวนนั้นๆ เช่น ป่าดงดิบ ป่าเขตหนาว ป่าเขตร้อน โดยออกแบบให้เหมือนกับสภาพอากาศนั้นๆ มากที่สุด และจะไม่ใช้พืชน�้ำของปลอม จะมีการจัดทั้งน�ำมา ปลูกแบบถาวรและแบบชั่วคราวเพื่อใช้จัดวางอย่างเหมาะสม ส่วนพืชที่ใช้จะแตกต่างกันไปตามธีมที่ถ่าย เช่นจะใช้ต้นขนนกแดงกับบัวแดงที่มีสีออก น�้ำตาลอ่อนในการจัดแบบสะวันนา และจะจัดแสงถ่ายด้วยการดึงสีและอารมณ์ของธีมนั้นๆ ออกมา จะเน้นที่ความอลังการเกินจริง โดยสวนพืชน�้ำ จะใช่เทคนิคการถ่ายแบบ Light Painting เป็นหลัก และใช้ไฟ LED เพื่อถ่ายสิ่งที่ลอยอยู่บนน�้ำหรือสิ่งที่เคลื่อนที่ช้า เช่น หิมะและฟองอากาศ เป็นต้น ส่วนสิ่งมีชีวิตเช่นกุ้งหรือปลา จะใช้แสงแฟลชในการถ่ายเพื่อเก็บรายละเอียดให้ครบ

กล่าวคืองานของผมจะเป็นการจ�ำลองธรรมชาติใต้น�้ำขึ้นมาโดยการจัดสวนในตู้ปลาแล้วน�ำเสนอในรูปแบบของภาพถ่าย โดยเน้นไปที่ความอลังการ เกินจริงเพื่อให้มีความน่าสนใจจากภาพถ่ายธรรมดาด้วยการน�ำบรรยากาศจากสภาพอากาศต่างๆ ลงมาอยู่ใต้น�้ำผ่านการจัดแสงและ องค์ประกอบ
