Remember Me

“Please take care of yourself,” I never thought it was the last word that I said to him. I was a person who never thought that death is all around us until it took away my family, and it made me realize and understand that nothing lasts forever, since death has been with us since we were born. Some people usually told each other not to cry — it will make the one who left feel unhappy — and not to let this farewell make us sad, but remember that he will always stay in our memories and hearts instead. From the phrase above, I created the project ‘Remember Me’, which will tell the story about family members who passed away and the way that I have known them to honor them.

I hope that Remember Me will make audiences realize how important their family members are. We never know that we may not have tomorrow together again. Death might separate us apart, but it cannot take our memories that we had together. Eventually, Remember Me could never happen if I didn’t accept the truth. Every goodbye leaves not only sadness, but also memorable memories together as well, letting us to know that they really existed in this world. “Cannot be seen, but still clearly in our memories.”

ประโยคที่บอกว่าให้ดูแลตัวเองไปก่อน ไม่คิดว่าจะเป็นค�ำพูดสุดท้ายที่ได้คุยกับเขา เราเป็นคนหนึ่งที่ เคยมองว่าความตายเป็นเรื่องไกล ตัวและไม่เคยนึกถึง จนความตายพรากคนในครอบครัวของเราไป ท�ำให้เราเข้าใจและยอมรับว่าโลกนี้ไม่มีอะไรแน่นอน ความตายเป็น สิ่งเดียวที่อยู่กับเรามาตั้งแต่เกิด คนที่อยู่มักบอกว่า อย่าร้องไห้เสียใจผู้ที่จากไปเขาจะไม่เป็นสุข อย่าให้การจากลาในครั้งนี้ท�ำให้เรา เสียใจจนอยากลืมเขาไป แต่จงจดจ�ำเขาไว้ให้เขามีตัวตนอยู่ในหัวใจและในความทรงจ�ำของเรา และด้วยข้อความที่บอกกล่าวไปตอน ต้นนั้น จึงเกิดเป็นการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานชุด Remember me ขึ้นมา บอกเล่าถึงบุคคลที่จากไปในครอบครัว ความเป็นเขาในแบบที่ เรารู้จัก จึงท�ำให้เกิดเป็นการสร้างสรรค์งาน ชุดนี้เพื่อแสดงความเคารพและระลึกถึงคนในครอบครัวที่จากไป

เราหวังว่างานชุด Remember me จะท�ำให้ผู้ที่ได้ชมผลงานเห็นถึงความส�ำคัญของคนในครอบครัวว่า ควรรัก ดูแล เอาใจใส่ซึ่งกัน และกันให้มาก เพราะบางครั้งเราอาจไม่มีวันพรุ่งนี้ด้วยกันอีก ความตายพรากเราให้ต้องจากกัน แต่ความตายไม่สามารถพรากความ ทรงจ�ำที่ดีที่เรามีได้ สุดท้ายแล้วการสร้างสรรค์งานชุดนี้จะเกิดขึ้นไม่ได้เลยถ้าตัวเราเองไม่ยอมรับความจริงที่เกิดขึ้น ทุกการจากลา ท�ำให้เกิดความเสียใจแต่มันก็ทิ้งความทรงจ�ำที่ดีที่เรามีด้วยกันไว้มากมาย และความทรงจ�ำนั้นจะกลายเป็นเรื่องเล่าบอกถึงบุคคลที่ จากไปว่าครั้งหนึ่งเขามีตัวตนจริงๆ บนโลกใบนี้ “ตายจากชีวิต แต่อย่าหายไปจากความทรงจ�ำ”
