Phrao district is one of the districts that own farmland as most of the areas. Its features are basin, surrounded by mountains, the northern border is connected with Chai Prakarn district, the eastern border is connected with Wiang Pa Pao district in Chiang Rai, the southern border is connected with Mae Taeng district, and the western part is connected with Chiang Dao district.

Tourist attractions in Phrao district are mostly nature, suitable for people who seek for fresh air and quiet place to be. One of them is Doi Mon Lan, a popular destination, where is full of scenic points in both east and west. They find this place proper and interesting place for watching sunrise and sunset. Moreover, it is also full of plants; Prunus cerasoides, Mexican sunflower, and owns the Royal Development Projects of Agriculture too.

There are plenty of tourist attractions in Phrao district. Wat Phra That Doi Wiang Chai Mongkhon is the first temple you will see when you arrive in Phrao district, which is available for you to worship and view the Lanna style architectures. Then, you can go to Wat Phra That Doi Nang Lae, seeing Indian architecture, and enjoying the scenic point at the east. Furthermore, Phrao Village Camping is suitable for those who seek for nature sightseeing and camping. Mae Sa Luam Reservoir, the new landmark where you can see sunset. Wat Huai Bong, a place where you can see big area of Phrao and Chinese architectures. Or one of the most popular destination, a scenic point at kilometers 13, Phrao-Wiang Pa Pao road, a sunset sightseeing place where you can see every area of Phrao district, and, lastly, Ob Mued, gigantic unseen place among valley.

Reasons I decided to take pictures of Phrao district are 1) it is my hometown, although I would like to get the pictures of the whole Chiang Mai, but it wasn’t going well with a year I have, so I decided to specify on this district instead. And, 2) I had n opportunity to learn landscape course, and I found me being myself and comfortable doing this. I retook pictures over and over with the new techniques that will make pictures interesting, one of which is long exposure, a way of photography by landscape photographer Michael Kenna. I fairly like my outcome of this project because it came out as I planned, and I hope everyone will see the beauty of Phrao district, Chiang Mai as I do.

อ�ำเภอพร้าวเป็นหนึ่งในอ�ำเภอที่มีพื้นที่เกษตรกรรมเป็นส่วนใหญ่ เป็นลักษณะเป็นแอ่งกระทะ มีภูเขาล้อมรอบ ทิศเหนือติดกับอ�ำเภอไชยปราการ ทิศตะวันออกติดกับอ�ำเภอเวียงป่าเป้า จังหวัดเชียงราย ทิศใต้ติดกับอ�ำเภอแม่แตง และทิศตะวันตกติดกับอ�ำเภอเชียงดาว

แหล่งท่องเที่ยวของอ�ำเภอพร้าวส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นธรรมชาติ เหมาะแก่การหลบจากความวุ่นวายมาสัมผัสอากาศที่บริสุทธิ์สงบเงียบ แหล่งท่องเที่ยวที่โดดเด่น ก็คือดอยม่อนล้าน ซึ่งเป็นสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวยอดนิยม มีจุดชมวิวทั้งทิศตะวันออกและทิศตะวันตก เหมาะแก่การชมพระอาทิตย์ขึ้นและพระอาทิตย์ตกดิน นอกจากนี้ดอยม่อนล้านมีพืชพันธุ์หลากหลายชนิด เช่น พญาเสือโคร่ง ดอกบัวตอง เป็นต้น และยังมีโครงการสถานีพัฒนาเกษตรที่สูงตามพระราชด�ำริอีกด้วย

แหล่งท่องเที่ยวที่ส�ำคัญของอ�ำเภอพร้าวมีค่อนข้างมาก ไม่ว่าจะเป็น วัดพระธาตุดอยเวียงชัยมงคล เป็นวัดแรกเมื่อเดินทางถึงอ�ำเภอพร้าว สามารถไปสักการะ องค์พระธาตุ ชมสถาปัตยกรรมแบบล้านนา วัดพระธาตุดอยนางแล เป็นวัดที่มีสถาปัตยกรรมอินเดีย มีจุดชมวิวด้านทิศตะวันออก เห็นทุ่งนาที่กว้างขวาง ต่อมา คือน�้ำพุร้อนบ้านหนองครก เหมาะแก่การผ่อนคลายโดยการแช่น�้ำร้อนท่ามกลางหุบเขา และยังมีพร้าวแคมป์ปิ้งวิลเลจ เหมาะแก่การตั้งแคมป์ชมธรรมชาติ โดย มีบ้านพักหรือจะน�ำเต็นท์ไปเองก็ได้ ต่อมาที่เขื่อนแม่สะลวม แลนด์มาร์กแห่งใหม่ที่สามารถกินลมชมวิวดูพระอาทิตย์ตกดินได้ หรือจะเป็นวัดห้วยบง ที่มี สถาปัตยกรรมแบบจีน มีพื้นที่ขนาดใหญ่ สามารถมองเห็นได้จากที่ไกลๆ สถานที่ยอดฮิต จุดชมวิวกิโลเมตรที่ 13 ถนนสายพร้าว-เวียงป่าเป้า เป็นจุดชมวิว พระอาทิตย์ตกดินที่เห็นทั้งอ�ำเภอพร้าว และดอยหลวงเชียงดาว และสุดท้ายออบมืด สถานที่ Unseen ขนาดใหญ่ท่ามกลางหุบเขา

เหตุผลที่ผมเลือกถ่ายอ�ำเภอพร้าว จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ก็เพราะว่า อ�ำเภอพร้าวเป็นบ้านเกิดของผม ในตอนแรกผมตั้งใจว่าอยากจะถ่ายภาพทิวทัศน์ของจังหวัด เชียงใหม่ทั้งจังหวัด แต่คิดว่าระยะเวลา 1 ปี ไม่น่าจะเพียงพอส�ำหรับการท�ำงานที่มีพื้นที่กว้างขนาดนี้ได้ จึงตัดสินใจเจาะจงลงมาเฉพาะอ�ำเภอพร้าวที่เดียว และ เมื่อปีที่แล้วผมเรียนวิชา Landscape แล้วผมรู้สึกว่าการได้ถ่ายภาพวิวทิวทัศน์นั้นเป็นสิ่งที่ผมชื่นชอบ และท�ำให้รู้สึกว่าสิ่งนี้เมื่อได้ท�ำแล้วเป็นตัวของตัวเองมาก ที่สุดแล้ว เหมือนผมได้ค้นพบตัวเอง ในระหว่างการท�ำงานผมพัฒนาผลงานจากการกลับไปถ่ายมุมเดิมซ�้ำ ดูจังหวะเวลาและหาเทคนิคใหม่ๆ มาใช้เพื่อท�ำให้ภาพ ออกมาน่าสนใจ เทคนิคที่ผมน�ำมาใช้เพื่อเพิ่มความน่าสนใจของภาพก็คือการถ่ายภาพแบบ Long Exposure ซึ่งเป็นแนวทางของช่างภาพ Landscape Michael Kenna ผมได้พัฒนาผลงานออกมาในแนวทางที่ผมต้องการและค่อนข้างพอใจกับผลงานที่ออกมา และหวังว่าจะท�ำให้ผู้ชมได้เห็นถึงความสวยงามของ อ�ำเภอพร้าว จังหวัดเชียงใหม่นี้ครับ
