Aprilia RS250

Aprilia RS250 is, arguably, the most advanced 2-stroke 250 cc sportbike in history , combined with the best technology

from GP & road racing, Aprilia represent its racing heritage in RS250. It could also be described as an Aprilia GP 250 "road replica", due to the similarity between both bikes.

www.i-moto.my The Aprilia RS250 is a two-stroke 249 cc sport bike made by Italian motorcycle manufacturer Aprilia. The Aprilia RS250 features race oriented motorcycle with technology derived from Aprilia's racing experience. It is inspired by the Aprilia RSW250 Grand Prix motorcycle used by riders such as Valentino Rossi, Max Biaggi and Loris Capirossi in MotoGP races.

History Aprilia had plenty of success in 250 cc GP racing so the RS250 was no surprise when it was released in 1994. The Aprilia RS250 is powered by a modified Suzuki RGV250 engine using Aprilia's own exhaust and intake systems. The fuel feeding system is comprised of two 34 mm flat slide Mikuni carburettor that control the air/fuel mixture. This represents a big difference compared to their GP 250 race bike, which used the Rotax Austria 250 cc motor. The Aprilia RS250 uses a Suzuki RGV250 VJ22(90° 2-Stroke V-Twin)engine with a slightly modified engine management. The chassis is made using polished alloy with a parametric pressed twin spar frame. The engine is used as stressed member. The chassis design and appearance is unique to Aprilia and provides a very stable and responsive feeling for the rider to lean over during highspeed cornering. The swingarm is made out of polished aluminium and shaped like a banana, which has become synonymous with two-stroke sportbikes. The swingarm's movement is controlled by a fully adjustable Sachs shock with the usual remote reservoir.

The forks are 41 mm Showa upside-down units (on the latest model) that are as fully adjustable as the rear shock. The brakes on the RS 250 are dual, four-piston Brembos up front clamping down on 298 mm rotors with a single, twin-piston caliper, out back grabbing hold of a 220 mm rotor.

The i-Moto i-RideClinic has many things to offer from throttle control all the way to a knee down to relax and confidence riding, as a rider ourselves, we believe when it comes to rider training, you can never have enough when it comes to motorcycle riding. Every rider has one or to bad habits especially when it comes to a deeprooted fear of falling and crashing. We aim to address the fear by sharing essential riding skills with our fellow riders. Most of us fear the unknown and after all, we as motorcyclists don’t often get the opportunity for guided riding sessions at the limit; the limit here that is, our machines and our minds. We rarely get to see an entirely new and truly amazing addition to the lower supersport category, but recently in August, Yamaha launched the third generation Yamaha YZF-R15 and it’s been pretty stunning from the moment you start riding it to its full potential and I have no reasons to complain, except for the tyres in the wet. But in the dry the made in Indonesia IRC tyre performed with average grip.

The light and nimble liquid cooled, fourvalve single-cylinder engine, 6 gears, VVT 155cc engine gives out 19hp @ 11,000rpm. The racy looks does perform pretty well in corners too as attains the DNA of its other siblings the R6 and R1. This is the first locally assemble Yamaha under 200cc which come pre-installed as standard, “inverted front forks” (UpSideDown suspension).

Evolution instead of revolution this R15 has a racetrack-worthy Deltabox chassis and hi-tech engine packaged into a racylooking motorcycle that’s dished out at a price just within reach of college goers and to new riders. Acceleration from lower gear was impressive even with full throttle all the way to the sixth gear with rpm limiter 11,500. We got top speed of 155km/h @

11,000 rpm, even with over revv light came out, just change gear the VVT engine doesn’t lag like other 200cc bikes we tested. Compare to FZ150, Yamaha has upped the tyre size to 140/17 at the rear, combine with its 137kg weight make the R15 easy flickable around short back to back corners.

Braking comes with 282 mm disc brake at the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear. The brakes have enough bite, however, Yamaha does not offer ABS, but with AssistedSlipper Clutch to prevent rear wheel hopping. Riding position is sporty, racy and lower than any bikes in its category. A great starter bike at RM11,988 excluding road tax and insurance.

MotoGP®- level Controllability Featuring the first six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) ever offered on a streetgoing motorcycle, the 2016 R1 represents the dawn of a new digital era where all riders can experience total 3D controllability.

Informed Systems IMU consists of a gyro sensor that measures pitch, roll, and yaw, as well as an accelerometer, or G-sensor, that measures acceleration in the fore-aft, up-down, and right-left directions… all at a rate of 125 calculations per second. By calculating each signal, the IMU finds the precise vehicle position and movement, and communicates it to the ECU, enabling it to control the bike’s systems.

We got to test this RSV4 Factory made for trackday spec and got to know how good this RSV4 performs. This not the latest RSV4, this a 2009 RSV4! Back then Aprilia’s positioning of the street-legal RSV4 Factory as a near-clone of the track bike is not much of an exaggeration. Its frame has a bag of tricks that make sense only on a race bike. For instance, not only are the steering head angle and the swingarm pivot adjustable, but the bike can be adapted to track conditions by shifting its engine position up or down and forward or back in the frame. The first impression of the RSV4, even before taking in its lovely shape and gorgeous details, is how tiny it is — built more like a sexy ballerina than race bike!

Get it into a corner, fire it on its side, feel the track Supercorsa compound dig in and then fire it out with throttle control and it’s gone, in, out and through the corners. While the stock 2009 RSV4 doesn’t come with Traction Control, the owner added Bazzaz Z-FI TC Traction, QuickShifter (QS) and Fuel mapping for the RSV4 Factory. Toggling the mode selector to Track unleashes the engine’s full 195horsepower fury. Set for Sport, the drive-by-wire system limits power in the three lowest gears, making the bike easier to control. The Road selection reins the engine back to 140 horsepower in all gears. On the tracks, I could turned out my best times at the Sport setting. The Aprilia RSV4 has the ultimate racing history for a single production-derived model. The 2018 KTNS CFMoto 650MT is an adventure-styled sports-tourer which originate from China, in Malaysia is marketed by KTNS and assemble by United Bike Assembly Sdn Bhd, CFMoto originates from Zhejiang CFMoto Power, located in Hangzhou, China. While the design of 650MT and future CFMoto models will be designed by Kiska Design, which is the first thing you notice is the sharp modern KTM like styling with the build quality also looks pretty good, with neat welds on the steel tubular frame and a quality finish on the body panels, but obviously time will tell. In the Malaysian middleweight sporttouring motorcycle segment is getting competitive, there is a multitude of choices for the rider, this model already causing a stir when it entered the market. Carrying a 8 valve DOHC, 649 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin, 71hp at 8,750 rpm and 62 Nm of torque at 8,750 rpm, fed by Bosch EFI. Power gets to the ground via a six-speed gearbox and chain final drive, and the whole package comes in at 213 kg, wet. Front suspension uses a pair of 41mm upside-down forks with 140 mm of travel with adjustable rebound only, and an

adjustable Kayaba monoshock located asymmetrically at the back, with twin disc hydraulic brakes. Brakes system are fitted with J Juan brakes, a Spanish company, with ABS and steel braided hoses, but the test bike we had, the front brakes felt a little spongy although it provided an ample braking to a certain extent for an adventure-styled sport tourer. 650MT carries 18-litre fuel tank which has a pretty good range of 400 km and seat height can be set at 840 or 820 mm, which is user selectable. The cockpits lays a monochrome LCD instrument panel, split into separate readouts for engine and road speed in one panel, and other information on another. Top speed was a surprise, which we took 650MT to 190km/h with no front end wobble and none engine vibrations! With the Metzeler tyres and the 650MT felt well planted in the corners even with the panniers. The handling package of the 650MT was also a surprise to us. Standard 650MT comes with Shad fitted panniers, handguard and a USB charging port and with a price tag of RM27,800 beats all competitors its market in the pricing in the segment 500cc – 650cc

CFMOTO is no exception. Their recreational vehicles are sold in 90 countries. The future is equally ambitious. By building a new lifestyle segment, CFMOTO will be one of the world’s top powersports brands. A CFMOTO brand experience was created with product design, communication design and research. The aim: build a global brand for all markets, with distinctly a Chinese heart.

A family company with inclusive style, CFMOTO is rooted in a collective culture. They are driven by fostering close-knit communities with power products. Such authenticity is brand DNA gold. Mining its potential, KISKA built CFMOTO's brand identity. Every element vital to the structure of a holistic experience.

Approachable, positive, exciting and enjoyable, the identity directly informs the core values. CFMOTO is “Determined, Progressive and More Fun”. Locally derived, but globally appealing, CFMOTO is for exploring the world with friends and family. The claim lives up to the identity: “Experience More Together”.

i-Moto

Global user research connects CFMOTO to communities. Insights are gained with interpersonal fieldwork. Consumer and expert interviews, dealer visits, ethnographic observation and, of course, riding. The backwoods of Northern California reveal that it’s not drive that motivates Baby Boomers to off-road in an SSV. It’s the after-party! In China’s megacities, groups of young city dwellers are found rediscovering the Chinese countryside – and forming bonds. It’s clear: the desire for a tribe is universal.

What does “Experience More Together” mean across a brand experience? Brand prototyping generated three brand scenarios for CFMOTO to explore. Multichannel and across every touchpoint, the final brand experience delivers on CFMOTO’s DNA. From strategy to video style, product design to apparel, CFMOTO is dynamic, accessible, lively and communal. The CFMOTO ecosystem is growing. In it you see a brand created in China.

Team PETRONAS Sprinta Yamaha-CKJ rider, Ahmad Afif Amran, has officially been declared as the 2018 CP150 Champion at Round 9 of the 2018 PETRONAS AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship. The team's coveted Team Award, however, will have to wait until the season finale in Johor next month. Afif made a clean getaway at the start of the 20lap race from pole position while his biggest rival, Kasma Daniel Kasmayuddin got stuck in the second group behind Mohd Fitri Ashraf Razali and Azroy Hakeem Anuar. Up in front, the PETRONAS Sprinta Yamaha-CKJ rider wasted no time in pulling a comfortable gap in front of the group. By Lap 4, Afif was about 2.6 seconds in front. An aggressive move by Kasma on the same lap saw him overtaking both Fitri and Azroy to put himself in position to start chipping away at Afif's lead. Kasma caught up to Afif's tail on Lap 18 and another daring move by Kasma almost sent Afif out of the race. The Terengganu-born rider, however, was able to regain his balance and resume his race. As Kasma picked up his fourth win of the season with 14'58/587s, Afif was content to cross the finish line in second place with 14'58.966s. Behind the two main rivals of the 2018 season, Azroy Hakeem Anuar picked up a rare podium for Honda in third place with 15'05.163s.

Afif's ninth podium of the season has effectively ended the title hunt in the CP150 class. The Terengganu rider's has brought his points haul up to 200 points to date while Kasma is second overall with 161 points. Unfortunately for team PETRONAS Sprinta Yamaha-CKJ, their ambitions to wrest the CP150 Team Award from PETRONAS Sprinta Yamaha Maju Motor Racing went unfulfilled in Bandar Sri Jempol. The team's second rider, Hafiz Nor Azman retired two laps from the end of the race.

The season finale of the 2018 PETRONAS AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship will be held at Bandar Sri Penawar on December 15 and 16, 2018.

When going flat out on a superbike, you do not have any time to take care about issues with your helmet. This was one of the main targets during the development of the Shoei X-Spirit III. The helmet should be perfect for racing, and everything else. With the extreme ventilation performance and the highly sophisticated aerodynamic system, the X-Spirit III is your perfect companion to take the top place on the podium. The outer shell is constructed from Shoei's own AIM+ multi-composite fiber for maximum safety and optimum rigidity. The modular EPS liner with multi densitie further optimizes protecion. The Shoei E.Q.R.S. quick release systems allows removal of the cheek pads in case of an accident. The visor has been treated with a mist-retardent coating and also allows Pinlock visors to be install We usually give aero a category a priority when owning a helmet now you only need to look at the Shoei X-Spirit III on the grid to get an inkling of the work that’s gone into making it as slippery and aerodynamic as possible.

With the massive speeds that motorcycle riders get to on the track these days (300km/h+ at some tracks), Shoei set out with two objectives in mind. Firstly, to make the helmet as streamlined as possible so as not to increase drag; and secondly to minimise buffeting and increase stability so your brains don’t get scrambled and you can focus on the track ahead. So there’s all sorts of subtle shapes and ridges in the moulding of the helmet and a redesigned helmet shape. There’s also the turbulators in the visor. But the most obvious feature is the rear stabilising spoiler and the removable winglets that jut out at the back.

The standard winglets are designed to improve stability at speed but Shoei must’ve had rider feedback that things can get too stable on the track meaning the helmet resists letting you turn your head – so the winglets are removable and there are smaller ones available to swap out if you have a problem. The upshot of all this fiddling about in wind tunnels is that owners say it feels an incredibly stable and buffet-free helmet – even when you’re off the track (where a few owners say it makes a surprisingly comfortable and usable road bike helmet).

X-Spirit 3s are pretty quiet. Using the chin guard on and close the vents makes this helmet one of the quieter helmets we owned.

The lone Ducati of Andrea Dovizioso led the early stages of the Japanese Grand Prix closely pursued by Marc Márquez and the LCR Honda of Cal Crutchlow, the three riders establishing a lead from Andrea Iannone, Álex Rins and Valentino Rossi. With 11 laps remaining Márquez pounced and took the lead from Dovizioso. But it didn’t last as the Spaniard went wide a couple of corners later, kicked up the dirt and allowed the Ducati rider back into the lead. Tyre management remained a key factor until, with six laps to go Dovizioso and Márquez upped the pace, dropped below the 1m 45s marker, leaving the third place Honda of Crutchlow over a second back in third. A block pass from Márquez under braking into turn nine with four laps remaining gave the Honda rider the lead and then a dream scenario for the champion elect as Dovizioso slid off the circuit at turn 10 with two laps remaining. This left Márquez with a clear run to his

fifth MotoGP crown to become the fifth most successful rider in the history of the sport and youngest rider in the history of the sport to win seven World Championships (including his Moto3 win in 2010 and Moto2 victory in 2012). He's also the youngest rider to have won five premier-class titles. This latest win gives Marc his seventh World-Class Championship Title.

Congratulations Marc Márquez!

Maverick Vinales powered to a dominant victory at the Australian MotoGP on Sunday as newly crowned world champion Marc Marquez was dramatically forced out, extending his jinx at the Phillip Island circuit. The Spanish Yahama rider, who started second and took the lead after Marquez retired, scored his first win of the year, taking the chequered flag ahead of Andrea Iannone on a Suzuki. Ducati rider Andrea Dovizioso was third, strengthening his bid to finish runner-up in the world championship as his nearest rival, Valentino Rossi, could only manage sixth. “It feels amazing,” said Vinales. “I didn’t think I could win, but the bike was perfect. It means a lot to me, particularly in Australia because it’s a place I love to be.” While he celebrated, there was disappointment for Honda hotshot Marquez, who sealed his fifth world title in motorcycling’s premier class in Japan a week ago. Marquez has the bizarre record now of

failing to finish in Australia on three occasions after winning the world title in Japan (2014, 2016 and 2018). He was lucky to escape injury after Yamaha’s Johann Zarco made contact on lap six as they were screaming down the track at 250 kph. The Frenchman skidded off, but gave a thumbs up to show he was unhurt. Marquez stayed on his bike but his back seat was mangled and his suspension appeared damaged, forcing him to call it a day. It was his first non-finish of the season, having won the last three races, but he refused to blame Zarco.

Despite being handed a six-place grid penalty MotoGP champion Marc Marquez secure his 80th career pole position, and the takes the win with Alex Rins and Johann Zarco on the podium at the Malaysian Grand Prix. Heartbreak for Valentino Rossi and all his fans as Rossi had a perfect start from second, taking the hole shot and holding the lead superbly. He had a stunning consistent pace that allowed him to make a clean getaway from his pursuers. But Marc Marques, who wrapped up his fifth world title in Japan last month, was penalised by stewards for riding irresponsibly for impeding Suzuki’s Andrea Iannone on Saturday, was closing the gap to Rossi late in the race, Marc was putting on the pressure towards Rossi cutting .0200 every lap in the remaining in the final ten laps the heat and the tyre degradation for Rossi meant Marc Mårquez was closing in. 4th place for Maverick Vinales who gave

Yamaha a first win in 26 races last week in Australia. The crowd was cheering for Vale to complete the back to back Yamaha victory in Sepang, Though his advantage went up and down over the first half of the race, there was no one who could really reach Rossi at the front, let alone make an attempt at passing the nine-time World Champion. However, The Doctor responded by picking up the pace and defended his first place brilliantly, but the small mishap in Turn 1 on lap 17 caused him to slide down the tarmac. Rossi was able to re-join the race in 18th place and finished the race.

2018 marks the 40th anniversary for Pro Circuit Products, Inc. In that time a lot has changed, yet one thing remains the same: We aren’t happy unless our customers are happy. We went from a small laundromat-turnedHusqvarna shop with 1 employee to our current multi-building motocross empire in Southern California with over a hundred employees. We have seen two-stroke motorcycles rule the sport to now seeing four-strokes rule the sport, riding spots come and go and we’ve watched some eight hour days at the shop turn into allnighters. No matter what we have faced, we believe the hard work we put into our products and services is all worthwhile when we hear praise from our customers. We have built pipes, tuned suspension and modified engines for legendary riders such as Rick Johnson, Jeff Ward, Damon Bradshaw, Jeremy McGrath, Ricky Carmichael, Kevin Windham, James Stewart, Ryan Villopoto and current stars like Eli Tomac, Chad Reed and Cooper Webb. Whether a product is for a factory guy or a recreational rider, we make sure both receive our 100% effort in giving them a product that is above the rest. As we begin to click our 40th year in gear, we would like to thank our customers and riders for the memories and support throughout the years and for being the reason we continue to put in the time we do to make your rides more enjoyable. Cheers to the next 40 years!
