Continuousandcircularlines,transparencies,entirely customizedinteriors.CasaFarnesinasumsupthe rigourandfluiditythatshapesGiorgiaDennerlein's stylisticstyle.Here,sheisworkingonaradical


restylingofa220m2flatonthethirdfloorofa buildinginthefamousRomanquarter,notfarfrom theheadquartersoftheMinistryofForeignAffairs.


Theowner,anentrepreneurwithagreatpassionfor boating,leftarch.Dennerleinarawfabrictobe modelledashewished,anopenspace,interruptedon bythestructuresupportingcolumns, tobecompletely reimagined.Andsoitwas.

Dennerleinintervenedbybreakingupthetraditional patternofsubdividingspacesandmouldingthedesign asifitwereapieddansl'eau,withoutsharpedges, sophisticatedandmadetomeasure.

Everythinghasbeendesignedandhandcraftedwitha highlevelofcarpentrywork:fromthefurnituretothe cupboardsandpartitions,fromthekitchentothe doors,someofwhich,inglassandconcealed,are diaphragmsdesignedinharmonywiththeoverall designofthehouse.Thewallshavethewarmtexture oftheARTEEffeitaliaandDEDARwallpapersthat recallthelinearhorizonoftheseawhenitiscalmor thestreakingofshells.Theflooringisasingleskin thatrunsthroughtheentirehouse,abeige-coloured Turkishtravertinestonewithnoveining.Thefloor heatingisjustoneofthemanydevicesthatmakethe residencesmartlydomoticandhigh-tech.

Theimpressionoftouchingthepinetreeswitha fingercontinuesinthemainbathroom,wherethe highqualityfinishingsoftheRITMONIOsatinbrass tapware,thedarkgreystoneembracingthebathtub arefoundinthedecorativefriezecutlikeanowl's claw,andtheEdonéfurnitureallstandout.Asartorial workthatdemandsattentiontoeverydetailand vibratesinthegoldenthreadofthewallpaperthat completestheinterior.Thepreciousnessofthe materialsreturnsinthebathroomadjoiningthe masterbedroom,aroomwithamorerigorousand masculinemoodwhosesurfacesarehighlighted horizontally.
