‘Toad in the Hole’ Ingredients      

12 Pork Sausages 225ml of Milk 3 large Eggs 100g Plain Flour Salt and Pepper Cooking Oil

Preheat the oven to 210ºC/190ºC Fan/Gas Mark 5 Place enough cooking oil to cover the base of a deep roasting dish Space the sausages evenly in the oiled dish Cook the sausages in the preheated oven for around 20 minutes until evenly browned Measure out the milk and place to one side Weigh the flour in a large bowl Add the eggs to the flour and mix until smooth Add the milk gradually and keep mixing Add a little salt and pepper to season Remove the sausages from the oven and pour in the batter Place the dish back in the oven for 25-30 minutes until risen and golden brown (Do not open the oven for at least 25 minutes!) Remove the dish from the oven and carefully cut and serve
