Holiday Gift Wrap with Elmer’s Glue ‘n Glitter by Amanda of midwesternmoms.com

A

s Christmas quickly approaches there is one thing that I haven’t done yet – wrap presents. I always wait until the last possible second to wrap gifts, so I thought I would change it up this year. I went shopping this week and got some great new Elmer’s products to use in my gift wrapping.

I really enjoy that I can get all of the products I need from Walmart and don’t have to worry about clipping coupons, or stopping by the craft store to get Elmer’s items. I can just pick them up when I get the rest of my groceries. continue to how-to...

I Love Wrapping Gifts by Maggie of midwesternsewinggirl.blogspot.com

T

his year I’ve been working my tail off to get everything done early so that I can enjoy time with my family (now that the kids are getting older, being together for extended periods of time is actually enjoyable...crazy, right?) This last week is just so exciting...I’ve put together my top 5 reasons why I love it soooo much... continue to how-to...

3D Gift Wrap with Elmer’s by Tonia of thegunnysack.com

I

am one of those people who loves wrapping gifts! I wanted to come up with a fun way to decorate my packages and a school project my daughter, Vanessa, brought home came to mind. She made 3 different kinds of clouds using a mixture of glue and shaving cream. I thought that would be the perfect effect for snow! continue to how-to...

ne of my most favorite things about the holidays is wrapping gifts. I know to some it may seem like [an] onerous task, and you all may pay the five-bucks to have the department store do it… but it’s not that bad if you have a few tricks up your sleeve. And by tricks, I mean Elmer’s and X-ACTO products to make your life easier and your gifts prettier. First, you need spiffy gift tags. As you and I know, store bought tags can either be pricey or cheesy or both. No fun. So, let’s make some. continue to how-to...

Wrap Up Your Elmer's Holiday by Holly of 504main.com

I

am the queen of Christmas wrapping...procrastination! Every year I manage to squeak out a few tags and cards before the deadline...and every year I say I am going to wrap beautiful packages...and every year I fail...until NOW! Thanks to Elmer's and a quick trip to Walmart, I got a jump start on my wrapping...and it is looking G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S! I had so many ideas running through my head (as usual). I was going for a plaid/ruffle/dot sort of theme - ya know, some boyish looks and some girlish looks (gotta keep the kiddos happy)...but then I started creating and this little ensemble is what fell into place. The best part, my little one created right along side me decorating the present she picked out for her brother. continue to how-to...

Creative Gift Wrapping by Brittany of prettyhandygirl.com

E

very year I try to come up with new and creative ways to wrap Christmas gifts for my friends and family. For me, making beautiful packages is almost as fun as opening the gifts Christmas morning. In fact, I usually invite a few friends over to wrap presents with me. We spend a few hours chatting, cutting paper and creating little present masterpieces. continue to how-to...

Christmas Gift Wrapping by Katie of sweetrosestudio.com

ell, Christmas is quickly approaching this year…more quickly than I’m really ready for. I took time this weekend to enjoy my family and some of my best friends when I really should have been getting a thousand things done and ready for the impending holiday weekend. Since that obviously didn’t happen, I’m now in a mad panic to get all gifts finished, wrapped, and ready for delivery in T-5 days. continue to how-to...

French Memo and Dr y Erase Boards by Amy of asthebunnyhops.com

ou’ve probably seen plenty of French Memo Boards around. Maybe you’ve even thought you could make one yourself. Well you can! And it couldn’t be easier when you use Elmer’s and X-ACTO products. What I love about making your own memo board is that it can be customized to your decorating theme. It’s also a great inexpensive gift that can be personalized for the recipient. continue to how-to...

Elmer’s Holiday Crafts Under $10 by Samantha of lillianmckay.com/blog/

I

made this craft with my eleven year old brother. We made a couple cute {kid-friendly & simple} candle holders for under $10. One of which he is giving his teacher for Christmas. I headed to Walmart to pick up some supplies for a couple crafts I was doing for gifts. One of the things I love about Walmart is that I can get everything on my list at one store. With the busy holiday season driving around store to store isn’t on the top of my priority list. Plus when shopping for craft supplies, Walmart seems to always have cheaper prices even when I use coupons at craft stores. Another thing is they carry all my favorite Elmer’s products; I love their X-ACTO and Memory Keeping products!! continue to how-to...

Cute and Frugal Snowman Lanterns by Natalie of greatcontradictions.com

T

he holiday season is here! This year has been pretty eventful in our household so I am trying to help the kids to spread the true spirit of Christmas & constantly reminding them that Christmas is not about how much money we spend. Instead we are helping them to focus on the fact that Christmas is about doing things for others no matter how big or small it seems. I have seen these adorable Snowman lanterns and decided that these would be perfect to give to teachers & hostesses for Christmas! continue to how-to...

Sparkly Treasure Box by Christine of theoutlawmom.com

I

loved making this because it’s a gift for Jane. She’s always trying to keep Sam out of her things, so I thought she’d really appreciate a sparkly little treasure box of her own to keep her most precious items. I started with a $1 wooden box from Michael’s and traced the shape of the lid with my X-ACTO Designer Series Gripster knife to cut out a piece of patterned cardstock. I attached the cut cardstock to the box lid with Elmer’s CraftBond Permanent Scrapbooking Tape. continue to how-to... 20

You can make this project for less than $10 (assuming you have the majority of the supplies on hand). The first thing you need to do is gather your supplies. We chose to shop at Walmart. t is the time for festive decorating! It makes the holidays seem that much more special and warm when you have your home bedecked in cheerful trimmings. Monogrammed Holiday Charger by NataLee of designedtothenines.com

W

ow. It’s been a CRAZY week! I was tasked to come up with a holiday gift for under $10 using products from the Elmer’s Memory Keeping Wall at Walmart. I wasn’t sure exactly what I was going to do, but I knew I would do something involving a monogram and something to do with home decor (because that’s my ‘thang.’ I think most people like anything that has their name or initials on it.

I like shopping at Walmart because they have everything there. I have noticed they have been expanding their home decor/crafting supplies. So you can get everything from a box of cereal to a TV to X-ACTO knives! So after a little snooping here and there, I came up with the idea fo making a monogramed charger to use with a clear plate...either with cookies on it or for Christmas dinner. continue to how-to...

DIY: Family Recipe Shadowbox by Brandie of homecookingmemories.com

I

love hearing stories about the favorite recipes in families. It’s always interesting to ask someone “what was the best thing your mom cooked?” (replace mom with dad, grandma, aunt — whatever you’d like). Almost everyone has something to share or say about those foods they ate when they were younger. The smells, tastes, and sights of yummy bites that have been etched into their memories. The DIY project I share with you today is with all this in mind. The idea is to take a single recipe that has strong memories for you and create a display. continue to how-to...

Re-Creation of Wooden Stockings

I

am a consummate DIY re-creator‌if I see something I want, but cannot afford or find, I set about making my own version. When I first saw this image of antique wooden sock forms used as a stand in for stockings in [a popular magazine], I knew that I would be re-creating those for my Midnight Clear mantle this year. I started my research by Googling wooden stockings and quickly found out they are stocking stretchers. I printed a few images to use as a guide for drawing the shapes and I was off to gather my supplies. I think my Wooden Stockings re-creation is fab‌and so very affordable. continue to how-to...

DIY Owl Frame Knock-off by Lauren of crazyaboutmybaybah.com

O

ne of my favorite places to window shop...well, online browse, is [designer catalogs]. I love to flip through them and drool over their modern, clothes, bedding, toys and decor for kids. While flipping through [one catalog], I found the cutest owl frame that would look perfect in Baybah’s bedroom. But there were two problems, the price ($40) and the frame is on backorder until February 2012. continue to how-to...

by Kendra of meandmyinsanity.com

I

have a couple of gaping holes on either side of my mantle that present some decorating challenges. Anything I put there ends up looking cluttery, unless it is the right scale. I spent some time looking at ordering some smaller Christmas trees. I thought the fancy feather tree from [a designer catalog] would be really pretty. You can use a lot of different adhesives to do this, but I found that the double-sided options from Elmer’s really expedite the situation. I started using the dot runner. It made it really fast, but I didn’t always use enough adhesive or press down hard enough. I tried the regular glue sticks, and they work, but you have to hold things in place while they dry. I really liked using the Elmer’s Craft Bond tape. I could put strips on the cone, peel off the backing and press the liners on the adhesive. It holds really well.
