A Mother’s Day Yard Spruce Up with Kmart The other day the little guy and I headed over to Kmart to check out their Outdoor Living section to see what we could do to dress-up our boring yard and make it a place where people would love to gather and spend time together.

A Frugal Mother’s Day Patio Makeover Well, with Mother’s Day coming up, what better time to give my patio a mini-face lift for around $100? Now, $100 may not seem like much money, but you can get a lot for your money if you shop smart at a place with great deals…like Kmart. I had to do this revamp on a super tight schedule, so there are no fancy DIY projects. This means anyone can do this makeover with some smart, savvy shopping.

Patio Makeover on a Budget Happy Saturday, everyone! So what have YOU been up to today? Well, Mother’s Day is right around the corner, AND we have company coming in next week, AND my hubby has been out of town all week. I decided it was time for me to have a little fun today and do something I’ve been wanting to do forever–sprucing up our deck and patio! Yeah! So I headed to Kmart to gather some supplies for my deck/patio makeover. But there was a catch! I’m a girl on a budget. I only wanted to spend around $100.

Porch Makeover in Time for Mother’s Day!

Mother’s Day is just around the corner! I happen to live next door to my mom so I thought it would be fun to invite her over to breakfast, just me and her. And since our weather is at it’s nicest right now, why not dine outdoors? Of course I had to spruce up my patio if I was having a guest! Want to see the before? It was pretty lifeless...

Sprucing Up Our Porch for Mother’s Day I am so excited to show off my new front porch to you guys. Spring is here, and summer is fast approaching, which means our family will be spending a lot of time outside. I have been wanting to makeover our front porch for the longest time, and yesterday was the perfect time to do it. Our front porch is the first thing people see when they enter our house, and there’s no reason it shouldn’t look every bit as stylish as the inside of our house, right?

Kmart Outdoor Living for Mother’s Day: Sprucing Up My Front Yard Well, this year I decided to do a little something for myself and went on a shopping trip with Hubby to Kmart and combed through the Kmart Outdoor Living section. They have a vast and large variety of outdoor decor. Fancy, pretty and downright cute things that can suit any style or taste. From Celtic suns to Elvis frogs, you name it. I decided to spruce up my front yard and make a little sitting space for myself to sit and read a book, sip some wine and watch the girls play. I decided I wanted a nice comfortable chair, a lot of ambient lighting for those warm nights and a table to hold my cup of coffee or the girl’s lemonades. I also bought cute accents to make this little area warm and home-y.

Happy Mother’s Day to Me! There is one sure way to get what you want for Mother’s Day… pick the items out yourself! I knew that I really wanted to perk up our dormant patio area so why not achieve two goals at once. Get what I wanted for Mother’s Day and improve the patio. I also knew that Kmart had a good sale going on their patio furniture and décor, so my husband, son and I stopped in and checked it out last night. I was pleasantly surprised at the Outdoor Living selection–they had way more summertime items than I expected to find. I loved the fact that you could find things in every price range. The top item on my wish list was seating cushions for the four chairs. Since the chairs and table were black with a tan umbrella, I wanted a pop of color. It was a tough decision as I went back and forth between green and burnt orange seat cushions ($16.99 each), but eventually
cl
I chose the burnt orange with a smaller animal print back cushion at $9.99 each..

Mother’s Day Patio Makeover Mother’s Day is approaching, and I wanted to redecorate my backyard for the celebration. As much as I would love to spend the day sleeping, I will be hosting brunch for my family. I went to Kmart to get some new items to spruce up our patio. The Kmart outdoor living department had such a large selection that I wanted to purchase everything they were selling for our garden.

With Mother’s Day around the corner I thought it would be a great time to treat myself to a patio makeover. As a busy mom of three I think it’s important to take time every once in awhile to focus on myself and sneak in a few minutes
of relaxation. One of the best ways I like to relax is with a good book, only problem is I don’t have a quiet and relaxing spot to read in. So a few days ago I set out a budget and went shopping at Kmart to makeover my patio into a relaxing area filled with some of my favorite things.

Mother’s Day Patio Spruce Up! It’s almost Mother’s Day and this year I decided to do a little patio spruce up. My patio was looking rather drab and boring. I could sit down, but there was no place to lay a book or drink. When the kids are playing outside I really need a place where I can just sit and relax while watching them. My family agreed with me and so we went to see what we could find at the Kmart Outdoor Living section to make this space more live-able as a Mother’s Day gift to me! I was so excited with what I found there!

I was determined not to spend too much on his first Easter basket, so we piled into the car and headed to Kmart to check out their Easter goodies. I like that Kmart has a lot of stuff at a great price AND they have weekly sales advertised in their circular, plus I get extra discounts as a member of their Shop Your Way rewards program. I also scope out deals on their Twitter and Facebook accounts. We ended up getting everything for his first Easter basket (including a necessity or two that I’ve been meaning to pick up for him anyway) for less than $30.

I was given the challenge to Build A Basket on a $30.00 Budget for Easter and realized that this was the perfect opportunity to make the Tutu Easter Basket. I went shopping at Kmart to see what I could find. When I looked through the Kmart circular I noticed that if I spend $30 in the Easter department I could earn $5.00 in Shop your Way Rewards!

Build a Basket {on a budget} Since I am the official Easter Bunny helper around our house, my job is to help the Easter Bunny find the perfect goodies for each child’s basket. And since I’ve got 5 kiddos the Easter Bunny has to work within a budget. So I was super excited to be asked to participate in the Kmart Easter Build A Basket Challenge! The assignment was to shop my local Kmart and try to build a basket while keeping within my $50 price range.

I love to make the holidays special. It’s easy to shop for my three girly girls… in the sense that I always know just what they want. Anything plush, cute and girly! However… it is not always easy to stick to a budget! So I recently took on a challenge. What was the challenge? Spend 30 dollars total to create an Easter Basket! Instead of building just one Easter basket, I built three!!! I had to be very frugal and so I went to KMart to see what good deals I could get there.

An Old World Easter Basket Recently, I had the opportunity to shop for an Easter basket on a budget through a Collective Bias campaign on behalf of Kmart stores. I knew that this project would be a terrific creative challenge to put my flair for the “vintage” to the test.

Budget Friendly Easter Basket Ideas This week I looked through the Kmart circular ad and found some great deals on their toys and Easter items. So I woke up early to beat the crowds, picked up some Starbucks, and headed out with my coupons in hand hoping to find a good deal. Luckily I was able to find some great Easter items on sale. Plus I used my Shop Your Way Rewards (SYWR) card.

Easter Baskets on a Budget This year, we’re on quite the budget so I set a $15 limit for Madilyn’s basket, a $15 limit for Grady’s budget, and a $15 limit for Styles’ gift. Styles is one lucky boy and gets to go on vacation with my dad every Spring Break, which almost always falls around Easter. This year is no exception so he won’t be with us. And rather than set up a basket, I’m going to send him off with a few special things for his camping trip like a Perry the Platypus water bottle that I scored last week.

Ayva Makes An Easter Basket! This year will be no different, but as Ayva gets older, I’m trying to instill a spirit of giving in her as much as possible. Easter is the perfect time to teach a lesson about sharing and giving to others! She and I went to Kmart to pick up some items to make an Easter basket for all of her friends at her preschool. I was really grateful for the sales because I didn’t clip any coupons or plan for my trip at all! I usually get the circular from the Sunday paper, or check the ads out online, but since our trip to Kmart was unexpected, I didn’t have time to do any of that! I have a Kmart Shop Your Way Rewards card, so I was able to get points for my purchase. The points add up every time I shop, and I’m able to redeem the points as cash whenever I shop at Kmart. When we checked out with our basket full of stuff, I was really surprised (and happy) to find that we had been able to stick with our budget.

Build A Basket on a Budget Challenge Before we headed to the store, I looked online at Kmart dot com to get an idea of what sales I could expect at my store. For some reason, we didn’t get a Kmart circular in our Sunday paper last week, but you can guarantee that I grabbed one as soon as we got to the store to check and see what deals I may have missed online! I also visited the Shop Your Way Rewards website to check my account. If you’re not familiar with the Shop Your Way Rewards program and you’re a Kmart or Sears fan, you will definitely want to check it out. It’s completely FREE, and you earn points with every purchase. There are also weekly deals and sales only for Shop Your Way Rewards members that you will not want to miss out on.

Whimsical Easter Tablescape For the table this year....I had a few ideas of what I wanted to do. I love a natural and rustic setting with a little bit of elegance and a little bit of whimsy mixed in. So I grabbed a local Kmart Ad and headed in to the store to do a little shopping. I was looking for place setting ideas, something to bring a bit of nature to the table as well as something fun. I was also looking for 2 pre-made baskets and was excited to find that everything was on sale.

Decorating for Easter with Kmart The holiday spirit hadn’t made it’s way into my house just yet, so I was excited to visit Kmart to decorate my table and porch for Easter. Did I say table? I meant tables... I really wanted to make sure I had a little Easter all over the house!

Decorating My Table the Kmart Easter Way! I recently made a trip to my local Kmart store in search of items to use in decorating my table for Easter. I also needed to get Easter baskets for Eliana and Alex. I know this is a store I can count on to offer me a great price and the pre-packaged baskets can prove to be quite the time-saver for this mom of three. In our home, holidays like Easter are a pretty big deal and just packed with activity and visiting. I enjoy adding things to my home to make it feel festive and get the kiddos excited for the day. And since the table is important to the holiday as we spend plenty of time eating and snacking, I like to dress it up while still making it kid friendly. Anyway, I found everything I needed at Kmart and enjoyed all of the deals I found while I was there.

Kmart Easter Tabletop Design Easter is almost here and I am absolutely thrilled to be having my first Sunday Easter Brunch here at the farm. We are heading to my father in law’s home early and will return back to my home for a late brunch and cocktails, along with some outdoor games and fun with my three children. They are 27, 24, and 21 and still enjoy holidays where they may get a gift out of the deal. The most important thing is spending time with my kids. I love to decorate the whole house for the holidays and seasons. I went to Kmart and picked up some beautiful pieces from the Celebrations by Radko line. I was also thrilled to use my Shop Your Way Reward card.

Our Easter Dinner Tabletop (and it’s a family activity too!) Since Easter will be the biggest holiday dinner for our family since Christmas, my mind started turning towards my dining room table. If you remember back in December, I talked about how I didn’t have any holiday decorations for our dining room. With the help of Kmart, I did a makeover of our dining room, which turned out fabulous.
