Encouraging children opportunities to

Connect with their Intuition ARTICLE ADRIANNE SKYE

I wasn’t brought up spiritual, however was intrigued by mediums, movies on clairvoyancy and the afterlife. At times I felt presences that were of course dismissed due to my limited knowledge of anything past a ‘normal’ natural phenomenon such as ‘wind’ (and I am not talking from the rear end type here).

y extended family on my father’s side were religious and our family often did not align their beliefs, to the point that I grew up with a rather differing view of religion than I have today.

However, as part of my ‘village’, my own personal hamlet, saw me surrounded in my late teens and early twenties, by spiritual souls which caused my curiosity to grow rapidly. Fused with a few chance encounters that could NOT be ousted as ‘wind’ or ‘floorboards’ in this case, I decided to search for greater understanding.

The journey was exciting, with these lessons learnt passed to children for the past 20 years of my teaching career. Although ‘watered down’ for children, respecting each family’s beliefs, the elements on the surface does not depict spirituality, rather demonstrates a natural connection to mother nature and father sky.

Seemingly ‘mindfulness’ was the element I was missing in my early years, as I for one, have never been a soul to sit still. I tried yoga, I even sought meditation classes, but for the life of me, could not rest my mind or body for that matter. At this point the thought of connecting to my guides through meditation or journalling, was seemingly diminishing until I stumbled across an article early 2000, detailing a ‘Sacred Space’ or as named in recent years ‘Sit Spot’.

Like any teaching and learning, I believe that one must experience it first before passing knowledge on. Therefore, I highly recommend adults to first create and experience their own ‘Sacred Space’ as when mentoring younger generations, passion for the experience will flow over into the teaching, inspiring learners.

STEPS:

• Find a perfect space outside, that can experience all the elements of weather (not under a veranda/ shed).

• Ensure you can visit your sacred space daily.

You may choose to have multiple (local national park, at the beach) however, frequenting daily I recommend within walking distance.

• Consider taking a memoir/journal for notetaking. If using your phone, keep on silent so you can voice note but not be disturbed by calls/messages.

• Sit comfortably whether up in a tree fork, on a log/ chair or laying down.

• Using your 5 main senses, say to self and do the following: 5 things I see? 4 things I hear? 3 things I touch? 2 things I smell? 1 thing I taste?

• A few important notes here; taste doesn’t mean licking the ground (will leave this up to you though) however, I take a big deep breath in and taste the air on my tongue and back of throat; try and seek some different things each time; when touching take note of the temperature/moisture on the Earth; note the change of seasons as you become experienced through your senses.

By focusing on the 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 strategy, we are distracting the mind to focus on the very moment and environment you have immersed yourself in.

Allowing this narrowed distraction, simultaneously quietens the mind, thus executing the benefits of mindfulness.

Once we have calmed the mind and heart, our 6th sense is often activated. INTUITION or known as ‘gut instinct’ can clearly appear at the forefront of our minds. If we are open to listening to our bodies, calm and rationale thoughts can present themselves.

Through this journey many years ago, I was taught this to be my ‘guides’ talking to me. With children I omit these details of the guides, rather say that your heart is now truly talking to you, your desires are coming to the surface.

We are all wild diamonds, shining our unique ‘Flairs of Zezzwah’, with our own story distinctly defining our radiant existence! Like a brilliant cut diamond, I shoot trajectories of light, colours, and energy in all directions. These trajectories represent my stories; the very paths, smooth streams, and rocky roads I have taken to arrive at this destination as ‘Adrianne Skye,’ a business and educational mentor.

A

diamond is not created overnight but rather over time, a journey of extreme pressure and heat. Likewise, my story consists of incredible pressures, heat, and lengthy time that created the esteemed mentor I am today. In order to truly appreciate my brilliance, this is a fragment of my journey.

I was an effervescent child/teenager, challenging myself with alternative sports and school subjects that created a few frowns from friends at the time, such as trumpet and pedal prix. My soul was nurtured in year 12 with subjects Food/Hospitality, PE (surfing, snorkelling), to scrape myself into a Bachelor of Education (BEd) by half a point (seriously .5). I look back now, as year 12 becoming the greater ME. I loved working most nights at the local fish and chip shop, earning money, purchasing my first car before I was 16 years old. Spending weekends playing sport, at the river with family water skiing and usual parties/social life continued throughout university.

My passion for teaching and helping others emerged long before I graduated in 1999. I coached and umpired junior sports throughout high school and BEd. I was a passionate swimming and fitness instructor, holiday sports coach and babysitter! Yet time and time again throughout my BEd, I struggled to pass subjects, such as literacy and essay ladened topics. Nonetheless, I remained focused on my goal to be a schoolteacher. I always giggle. Every time it was essential to pass an exam, the divine would intervene, such as a minor car accident on the way to one and another, a false fire alarm shutting down our 200-student exam, resulting in a nongraded pass. In what way this was manifested, I will never know as I didn’t realise my visions at the time were a form of a powerful draw towards my goals.

Trajectory: I was driven and focused from a young age. I listened to my soul, even when I didn’t yet understand myself!

Commencing my teaching career in 2000 in the primary school public sector, country South Australia, I excelled with my desire to inspire children to love learning. At the same time, I sought to further challenge myself by purchasing my first house at 22 years, an old run down 1915 cottage. I passionately renovated (with loving help from my father) to flip on completion of my country teaching. I met beautiful friends, times I hold dear in my heart from the five years of country placement. Pinnacle, a quirky encounter with a ‘nicker nicker,’ aka stalker, who repeatedly stole underwear from my clothesline, peering for hours at me through my back windows, whilst sitting in the darkness. Initially I dismissed these noises as a local cat, but when the back fence fell in, the incongruous became the obvious. As creepy and horrible as the experience, there was also a silver lining. I met my soulmate, my now husband, the local policeman (so cliché) who was on the case to catch this stalker.

My tenacity in my teaching career rapidly moved me into leadership positions, including secondment as Project Officer, Learning Difficulties Support Team, head office in South Australia soon after meeting my future husband.

This involved moving back to Adelaide with intrastate/ interstate training and support for schools/students with learning difficulties. in government saw our funding sadly ceased. I am inspired to step beyond, pushing boundaries every possible way, introducing something innovative. I work ridiculously hard to pass what most deem normal, yet I always achieve what others thought impossible.

Trajectory: I am a natural born teacher with a lifelong passion for learning, and a soul urge to make a difference to education!

The ‘entrepreneurial mindset’ was always inside me. No surprise then, when pregnant with our first son in 2006, I left my executive career to fulfil my dream of ‘stay-at-home mumma bear.” I refused to remain working like the cartoon character ‘Sam Sheepdog’ off the famous Looney Tunes. I desired more! If I see people doing it one way, I ponder, “There could be another way of doing that,” and so off I go to pursue.

The vision was simple… start a business and raise a family! With no business experience, no business degree, a potential disaster resulted in the APEX of what made me the businesswoman I stand for today!

I was adamant we would succeed, refusing to live mediocre with no apologies for who I am. Am I restless, eclectic, or unhappy to keep changing careers? NO, I am the opposite. I am an absolute pocket rocket, addicted to evolving. My passion for adventure and change fuels my living spirit.

With hubby a pastry chef by trade, growing up in his family country bakery and my parents both selfemployed as a hairdresser and inhome maintenance, we had seen first-hand the sacrifices made and subconsciously influenced, yet the harsh reality of business we were yet to learn.

With a passion for quality food using locally grown ingredients, the decision was a bakery. Everything on the market was run-down. Concluding my creative flair and ability to budget, tweak and make magic, we started a new bakery, take-away only, in one of the busiest beachside suburbs in Adelaide. weeks before I birthed our first child and until the day prior, I worked in the business ensuring staff were trained, and systems were in place ready for maternity leave. I understand now my beautiful mother having kittens, whilst still supporting our dreams!

Maternity leave in the true sense never eventuated. Days after the birth of our son, I introduced him to the world of business and from that moment, we’ve never looked back as a family of entrepreneurs. My 2am rollover feeds were perfect to send that email and finalise the last payslip!

I juggled business and ‘mumma bear’ demands, yet proud of how I entwined the two. We grew our family rapidly having two more sons over the next two years.

I attribute how close I am to our three sons, with everything completed in their presence. Ringside, they watched first-hand the hurdles jumped and mountains climbed throughout the turbulent first five of 11 years with our bakehouse. They viewed my ability to cope with the pressures logically, not allowing it to affect me emotionally. In life, choices with every situation presented. I can either sit, dwell, and cause anxiety to which is all consuming. Or, I can act in a positive manner to rectify, as the situation is still going to occur; the motion, the wheels are already going round, it’s

happening regardless. However, outcomes are based on how the situation is handled.

My greatest challenge was, in fact, the first three months of our bakehouse in 2006. Not because I was a first-time mum with a new business. But simple fact, I lost $45K! HUGE OUCH, in which almost cost us our dreams forever! With the help of my parents, lawyers and a new accountant, we continued the business where I would sit for hours planning new product lines, tweaking the roster to save thousands in wages whilst taking the time playing with our sons.

Culminating lessons concreted a rocky road for the next five years, shaping me as a holistic, soulful, future business mentor, additionally altering the way I would conduct business forever. I refuse to change my good heart and my moral compass, however, I learnt five pivotal lessons from this catastrophe in business.

Firstly, a solid business plan jointly created with a trustworthy and caring accountant is essential.

Secondly, it is imperative that leasing and legal agreements are viewed by commercial lawyers.

Thirdly, it is vital for conversations to be in writing, as when agreements are verbal, existence is void in court of law.

Fourthly, being fearless in business is critical in facing BIG, dominating personalities who bully young female entrepreneurs.

Lastly, STRATEGY is essential for a well-founded business for exponential growth, yet fused with SOUL, is grandiose!

Trajectory: I am realistic, speaking of the ‘taboo’ battles of self-employment. At some stage most have a point where they struggled. I just happened to hit a gazillion, but my lessons will not be in vain. I will pass these on by helping millions from the same heartache.

I worked business in an unorthodox manner the first year and even though I am told this is familiar with entrepreneurs, I do not wish these harsh lessons upon anyone. The reality that I couldn’t afford a business coach was clear in my execution. I was chartering waters before the revolution of affordable online, budget friendly coaching groups. It wasn’t luck, forging four more years ahead, through Global Financial Crisis, continually increasing rent due to poor lease agreements and local development shutting most cafes down nearby. I had created a successful bakery with 19 staff based on a solid foundation from lessons learnt and mentor advice.

Yet another lesson presented itself. Our lease ended in 2011 with no renewal option as our building was to be demolished for development. Believing my guides led me to this point, my soul knew the decision. To shut doors and walk away was not my vision, rather to roll the die again on a new bakehouse. Our plant and equipment finances were paid, second mortgage released, we had zero overheads. Our little family home (we called our ‘Prairie’) sat high on a large block, a no-brainer to subdivide. I weaved a way around the tight encumbrance, successfully subdividing in time, using the entire profits shop fitting in a neighbouring suburb, expanding the business into a bakehouse, café seating, outdoor dining, and coffee roastery.

Sheer determination and absolute persistence to succeed ensured I set the relocated bakehouse with strategy. Seeking legal advice on all three tenancies, thorough planning with my faithful accountant, hours mapping electrical/plumbing and a lot of soul executing the branding. Attention to detail, my own hand-painting and photography for a personal touch! New location, fresh new look, set up FEARLESSLY blending STRATEGY with SOUL proved successful from opening day. In leaps and bounds, reaching great heights for the following six years.

Trajectory: Business is one of my major ‘Flairs of Zezzwah’.

It is ME, it is what I adore!

Lessons will always be dealt. I could easily write another 10 chapters on these, and maybe one day I will. But for now, there is one final lesson that stays with me, knocking me for six, scarring me to the point that’s inexplainable.

Even now reflecting, my breath quickens, tummy turns, and tears fall. Our baby boy at the age of three was diagnosed with a connective tissue disorder that is not only a lifelong diagnosis, but incurable. At the time we were informed by a specialist it was degenerative and he would be lucky to live to eight years old, however six weeks after initial diagnosis with further testing, we received confirmation that his condition was isolated. In a nutshell, he produces too much collagen, with no way of stopping it, potentially and fatally affecting his heart, bones, hearing, eyesight, and general health. bear, still to this day has no great understanding of the pain endured during those first few months of diagnosis.

My BUSINESS and my BOYS kept me sane whilst inside I collapsed.

Berating myself silently, reviewing my pregnancy step-by-step had me for the first time challenging my guides with a, “Why”? Contrary, I’d smile and cheerfully waltz into my business, managing like no internal battle was occurring. I was in the routine of being the strong, reliable boss that everyone counted on, as what I had dreamt and verbally visualised always came to fruition. I was their mentor. I ensured staff looked after their health/ wellbeing; they didn’t require my burdens. Business kept my mind stable and in time, I healed the turbulence through mindfulness in nature.

However, the rocking of our world caused me to ask myself if there was more for me in this world?

Yes, there was!

Nurturing our adventurous spirits, I put my heart into renovating, flipping houses, subdividing properties, and launching a second business, Extract Black Coffee Roasting Co., whilst ‘hands-on manager’ to 30-plus employees in the booming bakehouse and coffee roastery.

The majority has not occurred solo.

My partner in crime, pit-crew support, hubby and soulmate, has been part of my whirlwind life since 2003. Labelled by friends as a powerhouse couple, we emphasise daily focus on our relationship essential for harmonious business and family life fusion. We refuse to allow mistakes, failures, and differences, to fracture our amazing partnership and love. Yin and Yang: the perfect blend of feminine and masculine! True blue ‘brains and braun’ partnership, I adore how my visions are harnessed, standing 100 percent by my side with my oftenexotic ideas.

The finale of our business journey does not rest here. An incredible pull to travel thrust another life-changing decision to sell everything stable in our life. In early 2017, selling our Rebirth Vade Mecum Magazine \\ MAY 2022 \\

bakehouse for half a million dollars, purchasing a caravan, we hit the road (sons 10, eight, and seven years at the time), an unforgettable family trek ‘half lap’ of Australia. With zero experience of owning a caravan, we took off without planning or preparation. We were guided by our souls the whole 20,000km. Through the centre of Australia, zigzagging for eight weeks to Darwin, across the top west, Kimberley’s, Broome, Cape Leveque and back down through the western centre, Karijini, Newman, Perth, finishing with the Nullarbor to arrive back in Adelaide for the summer. Station stays, immersing in local culture and breathing the energy of the dreamtime, calmed us, allowing us to hear our souls clearly.

The feeling of freedom and our love of nature inspired the purchase of our dream property with million-dollar views, Totoka Urban Farm in stunning Adelaide Hills. Calm farm life is not the vision. Rather an urban farm running multiple streams of income, wholesale coffee, plants, chickens, workshops, teenpreneur businesses to name a few.

Trajectory: Life hasn’t been all mermaids and angels. Finding emotional equanimity often means releasing things from your life that hold you back.

With an accomplished background in educational leadership, learning/ behavioural difficulties, physical/ outdoor education, Masters in Educational Cognitive Psychology,

Graduate Certificates in Learning Difficulties and Mental Health, I again felt a sense of needing to make a greater difference in the world.

Passionate about nature, incredibly evident in our sons, with their inquisitive, connected spirits, I decided to return to teaching at the end of 2019. It had been 13 years since I had been ‘in the system,’ however I was quickly offered a contract for 2020 in a local ‘bush’ school and life was as if I had never left the teaching sector.

Since two of our three sons were diagnosed with dyslexia and dysgraphia, I had experienced another side of mainstream education as a parent, with times of lifeschooling/deschooling our boys essential for their wellbeing. The advocacy required still for a large portion in the schooling sector is underestimated.

I watched the demise of our eldest son’s confidence from year three through seven caused from the subliminal messages the system gave him. He believed he was ‘dumb,’ briefly questioning his own existence. Our trek of Oz was critical, a sabbatical to reset his self-efficacy. It was a reboot for us all. A time to ground ourselves, abundance of shoes off with earthing moments.

My belief that the system was crushing the inner child was evident. Our social experiment of zero homework in the primary years for our family upheld. Concentration required for six hours of schooling, working harder than most decoding stodgy worksheets, meant coming home to more work was NEVER an option. Rather swimming, nature, reading to the boys, cuddling in front of the fire, nurturing their voice, triumphed. As parents, we feel responsible to nurture, love, guide and create safe spaces for our children. I am proud to be all of this!

However, how was I to make a difference in returning to teaching?

Reality soon dawned that I even if I worked back up to principal level, I could only positively affect a limited number of children at school, yet still only a standalone entity. My visions started appearing thick and fast as COVID hit the world from left field.

Trajectory: When challenged, I believe the universe is testing my desires, forcing to review an alternative way.

COVID was our family’s review! Multiple events drastically occurred in a short space of time that sent shockwaves through all of us, but nothing we couldn’t shake off with change.

What was to emerge was two new businesses in our household. Our eldest son at 13 years, launched DIEZ-IGN, turning him into an internet sensation saving bees, bugs, and wildlife with his eco-friendly homes he handmade! His creative mind flowed freely, as did mine!

In late 2020, I launched my business mentoring trading as ‘Adrianne Skye.’ I spent six months intensive coaching ‘online presence’ to rid my fear of being stalked, learning the complexities of the online business world as I was a bricks and mortar guru! warming from this journey. With determination to make a difference clearer than ever, I was onward and upward, launching late 2021 my educational mentoring trading as ‘Gratefully Natured.’

I love teaching too much to officially retire my registration... just yet! In 2021 I was one of the few teachers in Australia to commence Aboriginal languages in a public school. Gratefully mentored by local Aboriginal Elder Uncle Tamaru, introducing ‘Kaurna’ at our sons’ school. Kaurna is another passion; our urban farm is located in Kaurna country, four generations of my family were born in Kaurna country and my soul is calm when I am teaching mother nature and father sky.

With ‘Gratefully Natured’ hitting the ground running, my educational dream is alive spreading my expression ‘Flairs of Zezzwah,’ and passion for life schooling immersed in nature and entrepreneurial enterprise. I am passionate to rid the negative labels of learning disabilities. Dyslexia exhibits amazing FLAIRS such as creativity, big dreams, and entrepreneurs. Zezzwah is a funky new word I made up to explain ‘unique me’ in a universal language of it’s own! We ALL POSSESS our own ‘FLAIRS of ZEZZWAH’ but if I also make a stand, becoming the voice for all parents struggling with resistant systems stifling children’s creativity, then I will fulfil my vision.

Trajectory: Truly ask myself, “What will make me happy?” and look within.

Together with hubby, we work on all our businesses in between supporting our three sons with their incredible swimming achievements at the state and national level. I mentor our eldest with his business, our middle son’s flairs in music, piano and performing, and our youngest son’s flairs in sport and creative design. Of course, primary to all of this is nurturing my relationship with my soulmate.

With no defining moment where I learnt to pivot in business, I believe this mentality to be my inner strong work ethic, viewing things from all angles, analytical individual, looking at my own actions that, “…cause an equal and opposite reaction,” (Isaac Newton). as ‘trade-offs.’ I stand to Newton’s theory as our universe is a powerful field of energy that we cannot see with our human eyes. My mentoring focuses on all the areas where I had made my biggest and most costly mistakes to prevent this from happening to anyone else.

Hayley De Angelis, may be a name you have come across in socials of late. She is making a name for herself in a big way in the spiritual sector. After starting her crystal business with barely a penny to her name, she is now making a hefty six figures a month. We wanted to know how she did it, so here is Hayley’s story.

H

ayley’s empire, Cleanse and Co., was born out of a desire to get herself well following a series of relationship breakdowns. In her own words, “Discovering spirituality and alternative healing remedies when I was 24, reading self-help books, quotes and carrying crystals with me, was the beginning of what Cleanse & Co. is today.”

Her aim was to offer crystals for healing.

The Melbourne-based 29-year-old admits she had trouble finding herself again following 12

a particularly bad break-up. “I really struggled finding myself and my happiness again. I was in a dark place and didn’t have the answers to help myself out of the rut I was stuck in. I went into a local crystal store and purchased a few crystals to support myself mentally to carry around in my pocket and that’s where it all began.”

She kicked things off by putting a handful of crystals on layby at a store back in 2019 as she didn’t have enough cash to buy them outright.

“As sales increased, I was able to launch and create new products, allowing me to turn my passion into something I could share with others,” she explained.

Hayley, a mum of two, admits she still suffers from anxiety and depression from time to time but uses crystals and oils as a safety blanket. They offer her comfort when she feels vulnerable.

When Hayley was growing up, crystal shops weren’t really popular. She said, “I remember collecting pet rocks as a kid because crystals weren’t something we could go and purchase.

“Crystal shops were definitely around but they were aimed towards a very small customer demographic and came with the stereotype of being a ‘hippy’ or a ‘witch’ which isn’t a bad thing, but it wasn’t a place anyone could just walk into and feel comfortable asking questions as a beginner.

“There were few of them, and those that were around were usually a small dark shop that you felt slightly intimidated walking into and having no idea what you were doing,” she said.

In terms of buying crystals for yourself, if this is something fairly new to you, she said, “There really is no wrong crystal to buy; I think everyone could benefit from every crystal in some way.”

She does however admit that it can seem overwhelming with the wide selection that is out there, “So I think having an idea of what you need support with and going from there is the best way to begin with crystals.”

She said, “Instagram was a huge thing for our small business. We seemed to be launching in the peak of when influencers were taking off. We were able to reach out to some really influential people who posted about our business, which really generated exposure and sales for us.

“Since then, maintaining our Instagram content has been a high priority and we have found it to be hugely successful. It also allows us to communicate with customers on a more personal level and get to know out regulars as opposed to the formality of an email,” she concluded.

Hayley also kickstarted a children’s clothing line, Soll the Label. Launched in 2021, she said, “It’s been a really great outlet for me to creatively be hands-on. We have so many amazing ideas on the horizon.” The range includes clothing, bags and other necessities. www.facebook.com/rebirthmag/

Embracing the Void ARTICLE JESSICA BEARD

Most people I know do not like the feeling and energy of being in the Void. It is that time experienced between death and the rebirth, transmutation or upgrading energetically.

P

eople can feel extreme detachment and apathy as well as depression or feelings of self-criticism for not being able to escape from the Void energies.

It is that feeling like you are out of sync with time and everything is holding its breath before you quantum leap or finally immerge from the Void space.

There is a card in Kim Krans, ‘Wild Unknown Archetype Deck’ called The Empty Room. When I connected with this card and its meaning… it forever changed my perceptions of being in the Void.

Kim Krans drew the parallel of being in the Void to being similar to sitting on a chair in an empty room. How uncomfortable that is and instead of sitting there in the emptiness, we instead fight it.

This was a breakthrough moment for me. I am someone who likes to know and understand why something is happening so I can have a sense of control.

There is no control in the Void. You have to just sit in that chair in an empty room.

I would try to fill my empty room with things, clutter it up and distract myself from the awful feelings of being alone, with nothing but me and the room.

I would constantly try to ask questions, do energy healings, affirmations or ask others how they were.

If I felt depressed, needed to sleep in the middle of the day or I just felt detached about everything, I was constantly analysing myself.

I was always looking for what had I done to cause this or was it astrological influences. What lessons was I having to learn, what was I healing etc.

realised there were 3 very important phases when embracing being in the void instead of fighting it.

1. We always ask for change. Either knowingly or unknowingly. We can consciously go into prayer or intention and ask to heal our abundance blocks for example.

Or we can unknowingly think to ourselves, I am ready for the next stages of my spiritual journey… or I am ready to be rich, I am so sick of being poor.

When you are in the Void and you feel depressed and flat or detached, I have found it incredibly comforting to remind myself, this is normal and I asked for this. I asked for change.

Most of the time these days I know exactly what I have knowingly or unknowingly asked for, but sometimes I go into the Void unaware and I know in my bones that when I come out the other side I will discover why.

2. Surrendering to your intuition and emotions are key. If your intuition or body is telling you to go and sleep then you allow yourself to do so.

If your instincts say to stay away from people because you are too irritated or sensitive, then it’s vital to honour that.

If you feel like crying, being sad or feeling emotional, do so! I went through the Void space while writing this article because I was tapping into this archetypal energy.

My greatest emotion on the last day was, “I am so thoroughly sick of myself”, and I ranted to a friend, then put a movie on and allowed myself to wallow in my despair.

That might sound dramatic but it works. There is no room for logic in the Void. It is a place for the Mystic to come through.

during this phase that you need to ask Spirit for help.

You ask to be shown anything which needs to be healed. You ask for upgrades and open yourself to becoming more powerful.

You ask how you can be of service to others and to be shown why you are in the Void.

It is important to remember that sometimes you will have incredible epiphanies in the Void and receive life-changing information. But sometimes it is just healing that you need.

You could be going through a massive energetical upgrade or you could have just let go of a core belief pattern and your soul needs time to regroup and realign.

If you can remember these 3 phases you will embrace the Void and work with it instead of fighting it and prolonging the experience.

I personally find the second phase the hardest.

Because just like the card suggests, I want to fill my empty room with distractions.

During my most recent Void experience I had a list of things needing doing and had extreme frustration which moved into feeling completely flat and depressed. Instead of surrendering I wanted to blame myself and work out what lesson I was learning.

I tried to force myself to work on something I didn’t want to do and forgot to ask my guides for help.

So many people want to label anger, frustration, depression and feeling lost as bad, evil or they are ‘lower vibrations’.

But when you are in the Void… there is no good or bad. If you label something as bad and fight it, you will just fill your empty room up with judgment and stay stuck in the Void for longer.

The moment I fully surrendered and allowed myself to experience feeling depressed and frustrated I opened myself up to coming out of the Void.

That night I did an energy healing on myself, prayed to my guides for help and I woke up feeling so much better, by the next day I was fully clear and out of the Void.

I felt lighter, clearer and I knew what I needed to do next. I understood what I had released and feel so positive for the next chapter of my life.

By embracing the Void and not fighting it too hard, I only spent 3 days in that energy instead of 3 weeks or longer.

Everything is transforming so much faster these days. If you find yourself in the Void, please don’t fight it.

The Wise Witch –

Addiction/Obsession Spell

Addiction, Obsession… both can be extremely harmful and also seemingly impossible to break.

T

here is no magick OFF switch or quick fix but there are ways to assist and break the energetic hold they have on you.

The mental part takes determination and strength, but once the energetic attachments and binding are removed, it is a hell of a lot easier!

Like anything, it comes down to you and how committed you are.

Do you want to WANT to change or are you truly committed and prepared to do what it takes?

If it’s the latter, this spell will definitely help make it easier for you.

If it’s the former, you most likely have some deeper wounds to heal and root causes to dig out first.

You will need: • 1 red candle • Deep bowl • Water to fill the bowl ¾ (leave enough room so that you can put the candle in without it overflowing) Red represents the excessive, obsessive drives of your unhealthy behaviour. You can use black for banishing or white as a substitute if you can’t find red).

I recommend doing it whilst the moon wanes. So, AFTER the full moon when it is shrinking (waning) again.

1. Light the candle.

2. Sit and gaze into the flame, bringing up all the related images, anxieties, pain, problems and negative feelings; all your self-destructive urges and drives to do with the harmful behaviour.

3. Now channel them all into the candle flame. You may like to hold the candle and push all that energy down through your arm and out your hand into the candle.

4. Repeat over and over so it builds power: “I command you to leave! You no longer control me!

“Your power is gone, from your chains, I’m set free!”

5. Chant it until it reaches a peak and you have built up the energy to a climax, then plunge the candle flame first into the water.

6. As you plunge say: “YOU ARE NOW BANISHED! We’re no longer tethered!

“You cannot drive me, all ties have been severed!”

7. Leave the candle in the water and raise your arms high, stand up tall and say: “I choose to be free! I choose to rise!”

8. See yourself living life to the fullest free of obsession, compulsions, addictions and harmful behaviour.

9. Wrap the candle and bury it off your property if it is a natural material, like beeswax or soy. If it’s paraffin, place it in a bin that is off your property.

10. Flush the water down the toilet allowing any remnants of the obsession/compulsion/ addiction to be flushed away too.

11. Go for a walk outdoors and breathe the freedom.

12. If it is a major, deep-rooted issue, repeat it every Monday until new moon.

Friends are a gift. What does a good friend mean? What are the differences between an acquaintance and a good friend?

What is friendship?

L

et us begin our inquiry by asking about what friendship is? Can it be defined? What is the relationship of friendship? What qualities does this relationship have? Is it when two people share common interests, care for each other, enjoy being together and help each other? Do they hold the same values and beliefs? If not, where do they connect?

If you don’t share the same interests and therefore time together, does that make you an acquaintance or just someone you know? I know a lot of friends I have had for years, but rarely see them and spend time with them. Is this a friendship?

Is there any mathematical formula? Can one be a good friend, even if one shares very few interests and beliefs?

What about caring for each other? Many times, we find that friends are careless in their relationship, but when it comes to crunch situations, they come forward with all their might and show tremendous care. Does this imply that even if a friend is not much caring on a day-to-day basis, he/she can still be a good friend; if there is a strong affinity that brings them together?

Let us talk of enjoying each other’s company.

Does this mean that good friends avoid others?

Are they always found together? What if they don’t meet each other for a month? This relationship is indefinable. Isn’t it? Because being a good friend of someone may mean that we care for each other deeply, but need not show it always. We are ready

to help whenever the need arises. That even if we are not together all the time, we love being together.

We defend each other whenever any external threat arises. The last test is the final test of good friendship. Friends may remain away for a long period and continue with their life, but when the need arises, they are together.

When you have shared some significant time with another, and have memories and experiences there is a bond that is created. We value and respect each other.

However, I see many people in my practice who seem to struggle with friendships. Whether it is being able to meet like-minded souls and cultivate a relationship; or that they seem to have emotional challenges when it comes to friends.

When I work on a client’s energy in an Unlock Your Love Blocks coaching session I often see blocks to friendship in the heart chakra. Often our blueprint to relationships start with our dynamics with our siblings. It can be very interesting what can be discovered there when you look at your relationship with the very first people in life you had to learn about peers and connections. Often I can look back further and there may be challenges with one or both of your parents with their own siblings.

These types of dynamics can be passed down the generations. Often, one may have worthiness issues, or communication issues, or generally feel challenged when it comes to friendships, this is true.

But often when I dig back on an energy and soul level there is often some things behind us whether in our childhood or in our ancestry that may need to be disentangled.

Having some great friendships is crucial to everyone’s wellbeing. Moving forward many lightworkers, empaths and other energy sensitive souls are being called out of their caves. Having the capacity to cultivate great friendships, and knowing when and how to maintain your boundaries will be important.

Worrying is a habit most people develop from childhood. They observe their parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts worry and unconsciously believe that this is the only way to live. Fear can be a wonderful servant that keeps you alive or a cunning master that sabotages your growth. For instance, when you cross the road, fear makes you stop and look at where you are going.

However, to live your life from a perspective of fear is dangerous, limiting and stressful.

FOCUS ON A SOLUTION The only way out of worry is to shift your focus from a problem to a possible solution. Once you shift your focus from a limited point of view to an expanded point of view, your own wisdom, the universal intelligence and other people can give you new insights on how you can do things differently.

Sometimes the only thing we need to change is how you perceive a challenge and your reaction to it.

MY STORY: WHOM DID I BUY THE WORRY FROM? I had a very powerful experience when I was in my early twenties. I constantly worried about everyone and everything, which caused me to be extremely serious and stressed. One day while I was meditating, I asked myself, “Whom did I buy the worry from and why?” The answer was quite powerful. I bought it from my Mum, because she demonstrated that worry equalled love. I had decided that loving people meant I would worry incessantly about them, because this is what I saw my Mum do. My Mum did it because she saw her Mum doing it and so on. We learn from observing the people who are close to us. This is why great mentors who can direct us in healthy empowered ways are crucial to our success in all areas of life.

PROCESSES FOR RELEASING WORRY AND STRESS In order to calm yourself, clasp both hands, with fingers interlocked and squeeze them together 5-7 times. Squeeze while you inhale and relax as you exhale.

down to the people that come in our life; though for people who haven’t done any inner work or soul alignment this can be really quite a confronting statement, so let’s bring it back to very simple basics.

When we were growing up in days gone by, we had to accept responsibility for the things that we did, we came to learn that there would be a consequence, whether it be a positive or a negative, but there would be a consequence for anything that we did. And as time has gone by it’s become known that there is also power in our words; although I will say that even as a child my grandmother used to say, “Mind what you say,” and as a child, I didn’t really understand what she meant.

Accepting responsibility for our choices, spoken words, actions, decisions without using blame, pointing fingers or fault, believing things that go wrong, or our feelings being hurt is because of someone else, it’s their fault, is how we can cultivate confidence, self-esteem and courage.

Accepting responsibility for our part in anything in our life is the way to honouring ourselves and this is what’s most important. To honour oneself is to live in a harmonious, enlightened aligned life, which means to be enriched and free.

There is something even deeper in this and that is truth.

Truth is an important aspect of life; truth opens our heart to our wisdom, truth brings inspiration from the soul and our past selves.

Truth is a path to healing oneself, to be truthful about our choices, our spoken words, actions and decisions is a foundation for trust, and when we have full trust of our own heart, we are courageous, bold and wise.

Everything is in perfection and in the energy that it was created, which is unconditional love.

Sacred geometry is one of the languages of the Universe and can be found abundantly in nature here on Earth. Think about the intricate formations of petals in flower heads or the patterns of veins on leaves, the patterns within ice crystals or the symmetry of shape and colour on a butterfly and you’ll know what I mean! Pattern, symmetry and shape bring order, precision and balance to the living world and that is what healing with sacred geometry does.

Just recently I asked Melchizedek for the symbol to help heal the planet from the darker energies gripping it at the moment and I was shown the Flower of Life. Simplistically, the pendulum draws four, interlinked circles but graphically it is much more complicated. It is the symbol held within the 7th, Crown Chakra and represents oneness and the connectedness of all life to the one, geometric plan.

It is a perfect symbol to bring the energy of the world out of separation and back into the light!

I use the pendulum to balance and activate light in chakras and it is quite spectacular to watch the pendulum move while my hand is still! I always call in the master/archangel who is working with the client and ask for a balance and activation for their highest and best. The more complicated the symbols that the pendulum draws over each chakra, the more light I know the person is receiving. Higher light = higher vibrational frequency = a higher consciousness.

Why making other people happy could be bad for your health.

A

re you known as the ‘go to’ person when friends and family need something? The reliable one; willing to drop everything and ‘lend a hand’ at a moment’s notice?

Perhaps you identify as a healer, but struggle with the ethics of charging for your services… convinced you’re not ‘in it for the money’, even though you can’t pay the rent?

While it might seem noble on the surface, the act of selflessly sacrificing your own needs in a bid to win brownie points can be a sign of something far more insidious (and toxic!) than a benevolent nature.

We like to think our willingness to crawl out of sick beds to prove ourselves to the boss, or grin and bear people stomping all over our boundaries, is based on good intentions. But what is it ‘they’ say about the road to Hell being paved with those?

THE ROAD TO HELL

There’s a fine line between a generous heart and a compulsion to people-please in order to be liked.

One will ensure you don’t burn yourself out from a place of pure, unconditional love – note the word, ‘unconditional’ – for yourself. Meaning, it doesn’t come with the proviso that you please everyone around you, in order to earn that love.

And the other? Well that’s the path paved with those ‘good intentions’ that are actually driven by your unconscious mind, which is hard wired and programmed by your childhood experiences with one singular objective. Your survival.

Your unconscious mind controls around 95% of everything you say and do. Including what you manifest as your lived experience.

Whereas the consciously experienced ‘decision making process’, only accounts for about 5% of the choices you make and actions you take. Our brains take in 11 billion bits of data per second, but only 400 bits are processed at a conscious level.

The UNCONSCIOUSLY driven compulsion to people-please is a trauma response. Consciously, people-pleasers tell themselves they do it because they’re ‘good’. Unconsciously, they don’t believe themselves worthy of love, hence must ‘work’ to earn it.

When stuck in ‘People-Pleasing Syndrome’, our road to Hell manifests as long-term health issues, pain, anxiety, stress, depression; ultimately created by such an insatiable desire to be deemed worthy that you’ll sacrifice your own wellbeing, in order to PROVE your value to ‘the pack’.

they leave us to perish and a predator gobbles us up.

The need to belong is an innate human drive.

TALES FROM A REFORMED, CHRONIC PEOPLE-PLEASER

I understand the desire to be liked. I was a people-pleaser for much of my life; experiencing suffocating guilt around charging for my healing services and saying, “No” to demands on my time (reasonable or otherwise), which eventually saw me succumb to a plethora of health issues.

There is nothing like the feeling when you meet someone that speaks your language. In my experience it is one person I connect with that moves me to seek their community. Again, it is this experience of relationship and how we see ourselves in that person that motivates us to join.

What joy to find a group that sounds and looks like you who welcome you with open arms and loving intent. In this nurturing environment we feel courageous enough to push ourselves further than we would do on our own, knowing that someone has our back. The potential for exponential personal growth is priceless.

THE LIFE CYCLE OF THE GROUP ENERGY…

The ‘reason group’ you joined is for a limited time and you learn and move on. You may keep in contact or you let the connections drift as everyone takes a different path.

The ‘season group’ is for deep healing and strong growth. Often we stay with this group for months or years. It is the structure we need to release old patterns and beliefs.

The ‘lifetime group’ is the friends we make along the way, the ones who form our inner circle.

Spiritual awakening is difficult as much as it is beautiful. We are required to leave a lot of our friends and family behind who, up until that point, were your tribe. We gravitate to those who lift us as much as we lift them. It must be an equal relationship and it must be nurturing. You will find that your lifetime group will only be about five people and that is perfect enough to take you through this part of the adventure; the journey to self-awareness.

At this point I must talk about the groups or relationships that do not align with us, the vibe we feel is incongruent or we just don’t like what they say or feel. My advice… run!!! And that is all I will say on that. To dissect something that is toxic is to connect to it and that is counterintuitive. Always seek contentment and a loving space.

Focussing on negative thoughts and fears – such as ‘How I will survive?’, ‘Will there be a nuclear war?’, and so forth – will only serve to lower vibrations.

SPEND TIME IN NATURE

In order to maintain peace of mind amidst all the current unrest in the world people need to get back to nature and seek to spend as much time in the natural environment. It is an excellent practice to remove footwear and walk barefoot on the ground, which helps connect us to the energy of the universe. Being in nature helps to keep our vibrations high, and helps keep us as relaxed.

Enjoying nature, listening to the sound of the sea, to birds and rejoicing in everything around us will uplift us rather than focussing on negativity.

AVOID THE MEDIA WHERE POSSIBLE

Mother Nature is truly remarkable. She has provided us with everything we need; we just have to take a look around us. Each and every herb, plant, tree or shrub has something magical inside of it.

For centuries, almost everything grown from the soil was recognised as having a medicinal, healing or magical property.

erbs are perhaps the most recognisable form of magical plant in today’s world and we still have an absolute abundance available to us, foraged from our surroundings. Take a look outside and investigate your surroundings, you may have something growing in your garden already! If there’s nothing to hand, embrace your green fingers; growing herbs is oftentimes simple, but very rewarding. You can grow them from seeds, or buy an established plant. Both will be fine for spellwork and rituals.

Finally, if you don’t fancy growing them, you can simply buy ground herbs or fresh bags of herbs from any good spiritual shop, or even your local supermarket. It all works just as well. However you acquire your herbs, get ready, because they can bring about some powerful stuff.

Adding a little bit of magic to your daily life is really easy. Simply choose which herb(s) you wish to use, set your intentions firmly in your mind (very important) and then gently add the herb to your food or beverage, with love and light in your heart, keeping your intention set firm in your mind.

If you are into arts and crafts, why not add a sprinkle of magical dried herbs to whatever you’re making. I make my own soy wax candles as gifts for friends/family and I always add some home-grown dried herbs to help them with whatever they need a little boost of!

Some people like to store some dried herbs in a small mesh pouch and carry them around with them, like many do with crystals. Next time you have a job interview, try bringing a small pouch filled with a mix of ginger, mint and thyme. Sect in Astrology I

s your Natal chart a Daytime or Nighttime chart? Not sure? You’re not alone. The ancient Hellenic technique of sect in Astrology is gradually being rediscovered after falling out of use for many years.

WHAT IS IT?

This technique is the easy and fun concept of interpreting your Natal chart according to whether it belongs to either the Diurnal (day) sect or the Nocturnal (night) sect. Your sect will determine the strengths and weaknesses of the seven classical planets within your Natal chart.

Diurnal: Sun, Jupiter, Saturn Nocturnal: Moon, Venus, Mars Mercury is an adaptable planet and has no inherent sect. Call it neutral. It changes according to whether it is positioned so that it rises before the sun rises and sets before the sun sets (diurnal) or if it rises after the sun rises and sets after the sun sets (nocturnal).

HOW DOES IT WORK?

In practical use, this means for those with Daytime charts, the sun sign will have more emphasis. Conversely the moon sign will have more emphasis for those with Nighttime charts.

The malefic (or ‘unfavourable’) planets, Mars and Saturn, tend to be chiefly difficult when they are conflicting to the sect in favour (Saturn in a night chart or Mars in a day chart). On the other hand, those same planets can be non-threatening and even advantageous or productive when they

are of the sect in favour (Saturn in a day chart or Mars in a night chart).

It is the same for the benefic (or ‘favourable’) planets whereby Jupiter tends to be even more benefic in a day chart, and Venus tends to be more benefic in a night chart. Conversely, Jupiter tends to have some of its more positive implications set aside in a night chart, while Venus’ benefic implications are slightly repressed in a day chart.

WHAT SECT IS MY CHART?

At its simplest, you can work out your ruling sect by locating the position of the Sun on your Natal chart: • Daytime sect – your Sun is positioned above the horizon (in houses 7-12) • Nighttime sect – your Sun is positioned below the horizon (in houses 1-6).

If your Sun is in the 1st or 7th house, you need to check if it is above or below the ascendant/ descendant axis. If it is above the axis, you have a ruling daytime sect, if it is below the axis, you have a ruling nighttime sect.

HOW DO I INTERPRET MY CHART?

You can begin to interpret your chart in a couple of different ways. Here are the steps I follow to gain an overall view.

STEP ONE: Determine the sect of your chart, have a look at which planets are acting in your favour.

Daytime Sect – The daytime planetary superstar is Jupiter. You can act a lot like your Sun sign – this is expressly true for those with a Leo sun sign.

In order from most favourable to least favourable, they are: 1. Jupiter 2. Venus 3. Saturn 4. Mars

Besides Mercury, each set contains:

Nighttime Sect – The nighttime planetary superstar is Venus. Your Moon sign may resonate more with you, especially if you have a Cancer sun sign.

In order from most favourable to least favourable, they are: 1. Venus 2. Jupiter 3. Mars 4.

Saturn STEP TWO: Discover the ruling aspects of these planets and note how they are represented in your Natal Chart.

Jupiter – Represents learning, expansion and abundance. It is attributed the traits of generosity and tolerance. There is optimism, calm and influence of spiritual growth.

Venus – Represents our personal values, harmony and the relationships we have with everything and everyone around us. It is attributed the trait of attractiveness – both what we attract and what attracts us.

Saturn – Represents discipline, practicality and perseverance. There is control of emotions, structure and an analytical mind.

Mars – Represents raw energy, action and passion. It is attributed the traits of aggression, desire and pursuit. There is impatience, forcefulness and drive.

STEP THREE: Make a note of the House placement of these planets in your Natal chart.

Generally speaking, the house of the most positive planet (Jupiter or Venus) will be an area of great fortune for you. It will be where you shine or the area you find easiest to navigate in your life.

Conversely, the house in which the most negative planet resides (Saturn or Mars) will be the one that tends to bring the most difficulty or hardship.

1st House – House of Self. Represents beginnings, identity, attitude to life, personality and self-image.

2nd House – House of Value. Represents personal finances, material possessions, values, priorities, your job and work ethic.

3rd House – House of Communication.

Represents your mind and intellect, the way you communicate, your social activities and interests.

4th House – House of Home. Represents everything related to femininity, your family, history and roots.

5th House – House of Pleasure. Represents love, amusement, pleasure, creativity, fertility and self-expression.

6th House – House of Health. Represents overall wellness, including spiritual practice, diet, the rhythm of your daily habits, how you manage emotions, what you contribute to the world and fitness.

8th House – House of Sex and Death.

Represents taboos, sex, dark psychology, hidden agendas, jealousy, revenge, transformation, intimacy, joint ventures and other people’s possessions.

10th House – House of Ambition. Represents masculinity, your long-term goals, status, public image, professional aspirations, reputation and successes.

11th House – House of Friendship. Represents humanitarianism, technology, societies conventions and restrictions, large groups or teams, judgment, friends and the power of the collective.

12th House – House of Secrets. Represents endings, the subconscious, dreams, emotions, the unconscious, secrets, isolation, karma, healing, spirituality, psychic realms and closure.

STEP FOUR: Marry those two pieces of information together. This is a super-simple way of unlocking more knowledge of your unique cosmic character. The principle of sect offers a powerful way to look over a chart and determine which planets are likely to be the most supportive and useful, and which the most detrimental.

By facing every imaginable adversity and setback in my own life head on, I am living proof that anything is possible through sheer hard work, focus and determination. Amongst my many achievements is reaching a place and status that allows me to devote myself to helping improve the lives of others.

My life story has inspired countless women and men to find their own inner strength. Many of my readers and seminar attendees state that my resilience has had a deep impact on their lives.

Reading my book(s) assisted them to get through their own dark times, as it demonstrated to them that everything happens for a reason and has an important purpose. Hundreds of women from all around the world have written to say that my story inspired them to be courageous and true to themselves.

In the course of my professional life I worked with homeless and drug addicted adolescents, prisoners including detainees in an immigration detention centre, abused and traumatised people from all walks of life, and I learnt that there are too many people who are unhappy with their lives but are too scared to make changes or pursue what they really want. I say, never make excuses and take full responsibility for everything that happens in your life! I am always prepared to make changes and am not afraid to deal with the consequences. It is this mentality that is incredibly important to anyone’s personal growth.

Suffering abuse and trauma can obviously, if you let it, completely destroy one’s life.

There were numerous times in my life when I was battling with illness, feelings of isolation, mistreatment and depression, and I honestly didn’t see a reason for living, but eventually I realised that I was allowing other people and what they did to me define who I was as a person.

This is one of the most important lesson that I want my readers to learn – to make sure that your own mental and emotional wellbeing must always come first.

showing the negative implications of making such a decision, and sometimes this forces me to hurt those closest to me. As a result I have endured years of loneliness and poverty in order to reach my ultimate goal. I may have overcome any challenge that was thrown at me but that didn’t make me perfect. I am human and make mistakes as I battle the same problems and insecurities as everyone else, but my courage and intuition propel me towards reaching my ultimate goals.

HEALING CANCER NATURALLY!

Then, one day about two years ago, without any warning, I suddenly felt very ill, could hardly stand up, and eventually admitted myself to the hospital. The Emergency doctor could not find anything obvious, so into a huge CT scanner I went and came out with the devastating diagnosis of having terminal breast cancer that had spread to the lymph nodes and metastasised in the bones, especially the upper spine, lower spine, shoulders and pelvic area. “You have six to 12 months left to live. If you have the usual medical procedures (chemotherapy, etc.) you might make it to two years.” The night pains were the worst and very quickly they became a constant, only varying in strength in ever-changing areas.

Eventually I came to terms with the fact that in medical terms I had incurable, terminal cancer and that it was up to me to heal myself or die.

You can imagine my devastation after eating an extremely healthy vegetarian diet and a sizeable amount of top quality Chinese herbal supplements every day for the past 30 years. I felt relatively fit and healthy, and looked well. An unwavering positive attitude and the pursuit of goals I had yet to achieve kept me mentally and emotionally in a good place.

Naturally, at the age of 74, I had faced many serious and not so serious health issues. The more serious ones were a weak heart – I was born with a congenital heart defect, had a hip joint replacement, a total hysterectomy at age of 41 and the subsequent hormonal issues put me www.facebook.com/rebirthmag/

on a roller coaster that made life unbearable until Hormone Replacement Therapy finally saved me. Years later, I needed surgery to correct a bowel displacement (a problem caused by the hysterectomy), but nothing could stop me from living a full and active life while I supported my body by maintaining a very healthy lifestyle including daily meditations.

At the time after the cancer diagnosis, my meditations became deeper and more intense.

The additional meditative healing sessions always began with the most beautiful kaleidoscope of colours and distant cosmic sounds followed by beams of brilliant White Light, cleansing and healing my body. I visualised the cancer cells dying and being flushed out by the Light until the inside of my body was in perfect condition. This experience filled me every time with a sense of peace that reflected my perception of bliss.

Over the following two weeks the pain in the thoracic area of my spine was radiating into the shoulders and arms and at times became so bad that it took my breath away; add shaking hand, dizziness, nausea, headaches and bad coordination. With a lot of willpower I made it out of bed, very slowly and holding on to things around me. However, the pain was simply unbearable and the movement of my upper body so limited that once again I had to call an ambulance to get help at the hospital. I found the time I spent in the Emergency Department taxing, but special scans, ultra sounds, X-rays, blood tests, etc. needed to be done. The results were never good, in fact they were so bad that I was simply sent home with a bag full of pain relievers of the nastiest but most effective kind, because from a medical point of view nothing else could be done for me. The pain was simply insufferable and sometimes one has to fight the bad with the bad.

While at the hospital I was poked, pricked, nuked, scanned, and seriously pushed towards treatment by adamant oncologists, I steadily declined any kind of conventional treatment such as chemotherapy, etc. Instead I pursued my own individual path to healing my body back to a life worth living. I was determined to heal myself by listening to what my body was telling me and what felt right or wrong for it and this meant refusing all common cancer treatments. Under no circumstances was I going to destroy the strong and healthy Immune System I had built up and nurtured for the previous decades. It made no sense to me and I knew that there were other, better and gentler ways to starve the cancer cells to death. I needed to strengthen the healthy cells even more, feed me the ultimate (vegetarian) diet and keep up the daily meditative healing.

When an MRI revealed a fractured upper vertebrae and multiple tumours of different sizes along the spine, shoulders and hips, I agreed to 10 rounds of radiation treatments in the upper thorax and sacral area, where it was most precarious at that point in time. I had to be very careful to avoid bone fractures, make only gentle movements and no lifting, while dealing with dizziness and coordination issues, radiation poisoning and some severe, temporary side effects like a very painful inflammation of the throat and oesophagus. I lost my appetite, couldn’t eat the hospital and hospice food, very quickly lost 12kg and basically maintained myself by eating a litre of gourmet ice cream every evening while watching movies. The medication had a bad effect on my brain function; soon I couldn’t think clearly or speak fluently, unable to find the right words, and my physical movements became slow and laboured. I felt frail and insecure on my feet, and spent most of the time sitting in a recliner or laying on a bed.

Several months later, there was no improvement and I was referred to a hospice to get end of life care. Prior to going into the hospice I organised and prepaid my funeral, gave away all my possessions, sold my car, and accepted without difficulty that the end of my life was close, which actually filled me with a sense of inner peace and a degree of excitement, because I was very curious to experience life in spirit form.

At the hospice I was given more pain controlling drugs and injections. I became disinterested in almost everything and spent hours thoughtless in front of the TV and slept up to 14 hours a day. When I still hadn’t died after three and a half months, I was discharged and sent back to hospital where the whole range of examinations, blood tests, scans, ultra sounds, etc. was repeated, as the doctors needed an explanation why, given the state of my body, I was still alive.

All tests showed good results and a new PET scan revealed that the cancer had regressed by nearly 70 percent!! I was now classified as having ‘low level cancer’ and was sent home with a huge brown paper bag filled with pills. But I no longer had a home, a car, or any basics, clothes, etc.

Thankfully, some of my wonderful friends came to the rescue, put me up and lent me whatever I needed most urgently. The other alternative would have been an age care facility, a thought I found unbearable. I simply wasn’t ready for that.

The high quantities of herbal supplements, the daily spiritual healing work on myself, my innate unwavering positive attitude and faith in my own inner power – up until I was admitted to the hospice – showed an amazing success, 38

were evidence that my efforts had worked. The bafflement of the medical professionals left them speechless and they were unable to offer any explanation. Sadly they also showed no interest in the details of my self-healing!!

When I looked at the content of the bag from the hospital chemist, I felt like vomiting and it was then that I realised that the medication made me more sick than the cancer and I disposed of it all. It was a crazy thing to do because going cold turkey, without medical supervision, is very dangerous and the following days sent me to hell and back. I was badly addicted to morphine and my body was screaming and squirming. It wouldn’t let me eat or sleep. I was in a constant state of alertness, suffered a different kind of pain, perspired excessively as my liver and kidney went into overdrive excreting a nauseating sweat and smell; add terrible leg cramps, nausea and headaches. My body shook with weakness.

Thankfully, I no longer had any of those pharmaceutical products in the house because I am not sure I wouldn’t have reached for them just to get some relief.

During this time I remembered that years ago I read a book called ‘Recovery From Addiction’ and that the same Chinese herbs I was eating were highly recommended to aid with the symptoms of withdrawal and the subsequent recovery. I ordered more and increased my intake, and since I was very familiar and well informed about them, I was well aware that these herbs are nutritional not medicinal herbs and one cannot ‘overdose’ on food. Their combination is based on the ancient Chinese ‘Philosophy of Regeneration’. We are what we eat and our bodies will perform in accordance with the quality of the food or ‘fuel’ we put into it. Sadly, the current food products do no longer offer the goodness and substance our bodies need, hence it is very important to supplement our diet. Unfortunately those quality supplements are not found in health food stores, as they contain too many fillers to be of much benefit.

After two weeks I began to feel better and today, six weeks later, my body is free of all toxins.

I take no pharmaceutical products at all and feel pretty good. Naturally, I will never stop my daily routine of meditating, cleansing my body inside-out with White Light and keep living a very healthy lifestyle – physically, mentally and emotionally.

May is the 5th month and the year is 2022, so we add those numbers together 5 + 2 + 2 + 2 which equals 11, then 1 + 1 = 2. The two is the lesser vibration of the master number eleven.

Master numbers in numerology are powerful and testing numbers that can intensify its lower denomination. The number 11 is ruled by the planet Uranus which represents freedom, discovery, invention, change and independence.

in situations where you’ll be faced with having to make some significant choices. If you find yourself under the pump where quick decisions need to be made, try not to be too impulsive.

Rather, take a moment to weigh up the pros and cons and listen to your intuition which will be enhanced during this period. This month will be a time of great awakening, an inner awakening as well as a collective one. A touch of realism will help you to differentiate between fact from fiction.
