Summer Camp Information PAPERWORK AND FORMS:
Camp information will be emailed, including any forms that are required for camps. All camps that have an icon next to them (2) require a camper health information form to be filled out and brought to camp on the first day. Please make copies for each camp session your child is attending. You may receive additional forms/ waivers that are specific to your child’s camp through email before the camp begins.
SIGNING IN/OUT:
Authorized individuals 18 years or older must sign child(ren) in and out each day. Staff are required to ID all persons picking up children. Parents must sign in and walk child(ren) to the specific meeting area.
MEDICATION AUTHORIZATION:
If your child needs medication during camp hours, download the Medication Authorization Form from our website at www.recreater. com. Staff is not permitted to accept medications until the proper paperwork is complete.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
LATE PICKUP POLICY:
• Participants must be the advertised age of the camp by the start of the program.
If a parent or authorized person is late picking up the child, a late fee of $1 for every 3 minutes will be applied.
CHILDREN’S BELONGINGS:
• REGISTER EARLY! Many of our camps and programs fill up fast and registration is on a first come, first served basis.
• Most of our camps and programs run in one-week sessions. Times vary from half days to full days.
Please label all belongings. Personal belongings should be kept in a bag or backpack. Cell phones and electronic devices are allowed to be carried in the child’s backpack, but must be turned off during camp hours. We strongly discourage campers bringing these items to camp.

CAMP ATTIRE:
CAMP DEPOSITS
Children are encouraged to dress comfortably in old clothing and sneakers. Please do not send your child to camp in open-toed shoes or sandals.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Frederick County Parks and Recreation provides reasonable modifications upon request for individuals with disabilities. If you have a child who needs accommodations, please call 301-600-2936 at least two weeks prior to your child’s camp start date.
LUNCH:
Campers are required to pack a non-perishable lunch, snacks and a water bottle for all full day camps.

• You will receive a registration confirmation via e-mail after your registration is complete so please make sure your e-mail is current in our system. Be sure to verify your receipt for accuracy. A $20 non-refundable deposit per camper, per week will hold your child’s space in the camps listed below. Balance of registration fees must be paid-in-full by 4 pm, Friday, June 16th. If payment is not received by the required deadline, your child’s registration is cancelled. Registrations made after June 16th must be paid-in-full at the time of registration.

Monocacy Adventure Camp 2 8-13 YEARS Dive into a world of non-stop outdoor fun! Monocacy Sports & Games 2 6-12 YEARS Join us in the Monocacy Sports and Games Camp this summer! We’ll play sports and games such as soccer, basketball, flag football, baseball, ultimate frisbee, dodgeball, lacrosse and more! Participants will learn new skills and enhance previous skills by competing in drills and competitions that will increase their sporting ability on and off the field. All skill levels welcome! NFL PUNT, PASS AND KICK COMPETITION
Pre-register at recreater.com
FCPR is hosting an NFL Punt, Pass and Kick Competition. Youth football fans will get a chance to showcase their skills at this local event. Scores are based on accuracy and distance in the categories of punting, passing and kicking. Top finishers will have the opportunity to advance to a Sectional Competition and possibly the Baltimore Ravens team championship. Each participant must present a copy of their Birth Certificate at check-in. This is a free event for boys and girls. Participants will be separated based on ages. Age classification is as of December 31, 2017. No football shoes, turf shoes, cleats or bare feet are allowed. Only soft-sole gym shoes are permitted.

Each week will include a weekly theme with the following core activities: creek walks, nature hikes and team building games. Campers spend the week using hands-on discovery to explore the aquatic world that lurks on and beneath the creek’s waters - while having fun and getting wet, of course! Kids will start off pedaling their way through the bike course, then transition to the running portion and conclude with a “swim” (a dash through a water obstacle course) as they head to the finish line to receive their medal. LEGO® BATMAN CAMP
We have combined two of our favorite camps for a fun week of building and destroying! Join our elite team of builders as we explore the various realms of LEGO® City and Batman. Registrations are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Preregistration required unless otherwise indicated. REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION: Confirmation sent via e-mail, otherwise your cancelled check or credit card statement is your receipt. You will be notified if there is a problem processing your registration or if the program is cancelled. Please make a note of your program start date. REFUND POLICY: Our refund policy encourages early decisions, so as to not affect other customers or our ability to deliver efficient programs. All requests for refunds must be made at least 10 business days prior to the start of the program. A 20% administrative fee will be charged per refund transaction. Registrations that require advanced tickets are not refundable. Refunds for Sport League registrations must be made prior to the listed league registration deadline. There are no refunds for missed sessions. See policy for summer camp deposits on page 4. PROGRAM CREDITS/TRANSFERS: To avoid administrative fees, a customer may transfer into another program with no additional fee. A credit may also be kept on the customer account at no additional charge. Requests for both credits and transfers can only be made 5 or more business days prior to the program start date. There are no refunds of credits. RETURNED CHECKS: A $25 fee will be charged for checks returned for non-payment. AGE POLICY: Program participants must be the advertised age for a program before the program ends. All age requirements are set to benefit the participants and to make the instruction consistent and safe. DISCIPLINE: The Division has a discipline policy for program participants. In the event the participant is asked to leave a program/facility, no refund will be issued.

If there is an exception, you will be informed by the Parks and Recreation staff on the program schedule. If you are not sure whether a program will be held, call our program cancellation line at 301-600-6291. During inclement weather, outdoor programs may be cancelled. Every effort will be made to make-up missed classes. Refunds will not be granted for rescheduled classes that are missed due to conflicts with personal schedules.
