Dear Parents and Caregivers, Finally the delayed HSC Examinations have started for this year's Year 12 cohort. English Papers one and two on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively were enjoyed by our students. Paper Two had a few challenging questions that Mr Breheny believed would be good for our students as they were exceptionally well prepared. Chinese First Language, Modern Hebrew and

I would like to thank and congratulate Weston Budd of Year 7 for representing Reddam at the annual Mark Moran Vaucluse Aged Care Facility Remembrance Day service as the guest bugler.
Greek Continuers were written by some of our students on Tuesday following their first English Paper which is always a difficult start to their exam period. Music 1 and Music 2 were written after the second English Paper on Wednesday. Both were enjoyed by the students although Mrs Wood believes there were some very challenging “out of the box” questions that were well handled by the cohort. Mrs Pascoe and Mrs Muscat were effusive about the Economics Paper on Thursday and believed that our students would have smashed it. Software Design and Development and Modern History, written this morning and afternoon respectively, concludes the first of four weeks of examinations. So far, the cohort are relaxed, motivated and feeling confident before and after each exam. A really good start. Keep it up Year 12.
A virtual Remembrance Day ceremony was organised by Ms Vince and the Senior Executive on the Senior Campus and Mr Smith for the Middle School students. This was a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by all men and women which have enabled us to live in peace and freedom today and paying tribute to those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts.

The International Debating Competition has come to a close with the final round seeing wins for our Year 9 and Year 10 teams who debated the topic that “we would prefer a world in which there are no extreme emotions (e.g. explosive rage, falling madly in love, extreme grief etc.)” The Year 9 team affirmed the topic, beating Bedok South Secondary School (Singapore) while the Year 10 team argued against the sentiment, beating St Luke's Catholic College (Sydney). Congratulations to all our debaters and my thanks to Mr Wallace for making this opportunity available to our students. The results of the Reddam Portrait Prize are in and the following students are to be congratulated in each category.

Highly Commended: Mae Angus Next week the Year 7 - Year 9 students start their Final Examinations on Monday in the first lesson of the day. Students were reminded to be at school well before the start of the exam in order to have a calm start to each day. School continues as normal after each exam. Students have an exam guide which gives them all the information they need in order to prepare well for each subject. They should not start learning before referring to this document. Saturday is World Kindness Day. A global day that promotes the importance of being kind to each other, to yourself and to the world. The purpose of this day,

who this week performed their original radio plays as part of their Yearly Drama Examination. This unit of work commenced during our period of lockdown, and has given students an insightful knowledge of the history and conventions of Radio Drama. Congratulations Year 9, for your hard work and effort during this challenging time. You have truly demonstrated your resilience and flair for performance.
Today we were excited to announce that the 2022 school musical will be the legendary musical comedy 'Anything Goes', full of upbeat jazz standards by Cole Porter, and featuring many lead roles, energetic dancing, and opportunities for all students to join in this professional-scale experience. More information will be distributed before the end of term, and for now please view our show announcement at this link: 2022 Announcement Video and get to know the music by listening to the recent Broadway cast recording on Spotify: Anything Goes 2011 Broadway Cast Recording
