Sports Year 8 Outing Day Plus much more...
Dear Parents and Caregivers, I think we are all exceptionally pleased that the COVID restrictions are being eased next week. In summary, from Monday next week: Wearing masks is no longer mandatory. Students are encouraged to continue wearing masks if they feel safer doing so. Cohorting is no longer required meaning that we can have assemblies again which is a great improvement on the online ones that have happened to date. Tuesday was rather an interesting day in terms of the date being both a palindrome and an ambigram. It read the same from left to right and right to left as well as upside down. The second edition of The Stag Student Newspaper was distributed to all students on Monday. I include the link for those parents who might be interested. The Stag Student Newspaper The Year 8 outing day, while no substitute for the camps that were cancelled at the beginning of the year, were enjoyed by all and the Year Coordinators felt that the objectives of developing camaraderie within the cohort was achieved. Year 9 students have their opportunity for the same activity next Monday. More photo’s are included on pages 16 and 17.
Mia Seisun and her dedicated team of journalists can be very proud of their creation. It is that time of the year when all the Australian Universities compete for top achieving future students. This week the Year 12 students had the opportunity to participate in a hosted presentation by UNSW at school on Friday and look forward to a virtual presentation from ANU on Tuesday. These are important opportunities put in place by Mrs Jones to help students get an idea of not only the course they might pursue after school but which Uni they might like to attend.

YEAR 12 DANCE Last week our Year 12 Dance students enjoyed an excursion at the Seymour Centre to see 'Callback' a showcase of exemplary HSC Dance works from 2021. The evening was particularly special as two of our very own Reddam dancers performed in the showcase. Talia Machet, who achieved First in the State in HSC Dance, and Louis Fontaine were amongst the small group of exceptional artists selected from candidates across NSW, performing in four shows for school and general public audiences throughout the week. They both did Reddam House proud, representing the creative spirit of the school beautifully. Our current HSC Dance students felt inspired and motivated after seeing the show, feeling ready to create their own unique performances this year.
