Dear Parents and Caregivers, Many students have come forward with suggestions of charities that one can donate to who are supporting coastal communities in NSW and over one million displaced Ukrainian refugees. I include a few if you would like to help make a difference to these people in need. The Australian Independent Schools Fund (AISF) Flood Relief Appeal is an immediate and practical way to help the most vulnerable families, many of whom have experienced damage to their homes and whose children have lost school equipment, uniforms, books and laptops. Every dollar donated through the AISF appeal will be used to cover students’ immediate needs. All administration is covered by The Association of Independent Schools of NSW. On the Bondi Campus the Charity and Integration Portfolios are having a fundraising event next Tuesday to support The 'Ukrainian UN Migration Relief Fund' under GlobalGiving. Their idea was to find a charity that could assist women and children in this time of devastation. Blue and yellow is the theme for this Mufti Day Ukraine UN Migration Relief fund - GlobalGiving

To bring the study of Medieval Europe to life the Year 8 History students were treated to a Medieval Show incursion. For students to get a feel of the clothing, armour worn and activities that were very much part of life in those days makes the learning experience more engaging. Mr Smith reports that this was enjoyed by all including those who joined online.
In Week 9 over 100 Reddam House Middle and Senior School students will be working hard onstage, backstage, or in the orchestra pit to present the Broadway classic Anything Goes at NIDA, Parade Theatre. We invite you to come along to support our talented students, and enjoy a great night out. Tickets are on sale and can be purchased from the following link: Anything Goes tickets | NIDA Parade Theatre | Ticketek Australia
Additional images on page 18 The Year 12 Drama students have continued their exploration into the French Theatre Practitioner Jacques Lecoq. This week they took part in a workshop on Buffoonery and created outlandish over exaggerated characters using their acting skills to satirise problems with public transport, plastic surgery and the power of the patriarchy.
Student achievements this week include: Abdullah and Aiza Khurram have received the Canada Bay Young Citizen of the Year award. Aiza also has received the Burwood Council Volunteer of the Year award. Congratulations to both students who work so hard within the community to improve the lives of others. Last weekend Max Styles competed with Brent Street Dance Studio in the Space Performing Arts Competition at the Seymour Centre. There were 6 categories and Max was awarded 1st place in Jazz, hip hop, contemporary and musical theatre and 2nd place in tap and lyrical. What a star Max. We look forward to your performance in Anything Goes.
Our debating teams had some close debates against SCEGGS with our Year 7 team continuing their winning streak and a first win of the season for our Year 12 team. Controversial topics like a fluid democracy, implementing gender and race quotas in Parliament, and scaling votes based on income were hotly debated. Tonight we host Sydney Grammar at Woollahra. Argue well.
