Careers Opportunities Plus much more...
Dear Parents and Caregivers, Anything Goes, the High School Musical, captivated everyone who was in the audience on Wednesday evening and both shows on Thursday. The energy, passion, enjoyment of every single student involved was fantastic to observe. As one parent put it “to put together such a fabulous show while still battling a pandemic is remarkable and judging by those around me, it really did lift everyone's spirits. It was without a doubt an antidote for this pandemic”. Another email received summed up the pride felt by the entire Reddam community following such a production, “ I cannot begin to tell you how amazing the show was last night. It was faultless and so entertaining. The acting, the costumes, the sets, the music. It was out of this world. The best part was the enjoyment that the kids had doing it. I had to keep pinching myself to remember they were only school students and not professionals. The teachers involved got the best out of every single student and Dean Hattingh is a superstar to conceptualise it and put it all together.”
The eighth edition of the Stag Student Newsletter came out on Monday. Mia Seisun and her team have put out another high quality paper for students, by students. I include the link for interested parents: https://www.reddamhouse.com.au/news-and-events/ stag-student-newsletter
Professional photo’s will be available next week.
My congratulations to Liz Collier-Walsh who choreographed all the dance scenes, Elli and Marcus Bortolotti for the musical direction and production, Chris Montgomery for backstage direction, and the Director who pulled it all together, Dean Hattingh, and to every member of the cast, backstage, orchestra, costume and makeup team. Thank you all. This is a proud Reddam day. @REDDAM—The Reddam House High School Newsletter

Having reverted to wearing masks at school has certainly helped with the spread of COVID in the Middle School and the last two weeks of the term should approach close to normality with fewer students in isolation and requiring online learning. My gratitude to all the teachers who have really had to step up to ensure that classes of their colleagues who were in isolation, could continue. It has been a trying time for all. On Wednesday our Senior and Under 15 Netball teams travelled to Minto to play in the annual CDSSA netball Championships. It was a great day out with some very exciting matches with the Redam girls giving it their very best.
Our Under 15s went down in the Final in overtime finishing up Runners Up with our Senior Team coming in 3rd place in their Tournament. Congratulations to Saige Rosmarin on her selection into the CDSSA Under 15 Team that will play at the AICES Netball Championships. Student achievements this week include: Aaliyah and Hussein Ibrahim have both been selected for the Southern Rebels touch football team. They were chosen for their outstanding performance in Wagga. Hussein is the only Roosters player to have made the team, and both Hussein and Aaliyah are playing a year young. Congratulations to these talented siblings. Next week the second of four Year 12 assessment blocks starts on Wednesday and they will continue with this until the last day of the term. We wish them well as they prepare and hope that their results are commensurate with the effort they have been putting in so far this year. Have a good weekend and week ahead, Dave Pitcairn
COMMUNITY NEWS In the Reddam spirit of “We Shall Give Back”, Leila Lewis, Carys and Saskia Unsworth and a couple of friends, held a Bake Sale last Sunday on behalf of their Girl Guides group. Together they raised $620 dollars to go towards the Flood Disaster Relief ef-forts. The girls baked brownies, made lemonade and other treats and sold them on Hall Street in Bondi.
