The radio announcing project that Reddam students are undertaking with collaboration and training from Eastside Radio 89.7 goes to air next week. This week the team were at the studio on Wednesday evening from 6pm until 8pm getting their segment ready. They have called their segment, “The Crumble” and we look forward to hearing them on the radio next week. We must thank a parent of the school, Jonathan Benjamin, who has been an initiator and supporter of this project, which is such an amazing opportunity for our students.

Whilst these Trial Examinations have proceeded, the Music 1, Music 2, and Music Extension students had their Final Performance Examinations on Monday and Tuesday this week. For all of them, this marks the culmination of many years of hard work rehearsing and practising their instruments. It was a special moment for Mr Bortolotti, as this moment has been ten years in the making, with the three Y12 boys who were vocal specialists having started training with him in the Primary School all that time ago.

The French Extension students have their Final Oral Examination on Saturday and Madame O’Carroll, their teacher, believes they could not be better prepared and that her students are looking forward to the challenge.

Emily Miller and Marlena Pasvolsky have led this team of students with such maturity and Jasmine Cohen is our marketing whizz so she will keep us all up to date. Students involved include: Marlena Pasvolsky, Emily Miller, Jasmine Cohen, Jessica Levy, Georgie Davis, Zoe Martin, Maria Keis, James Bradburn, Jamie Levitt, Milana Perczuk, Indi Cohen, and Sienna Diamond. A few more photo’s over the Communitypage.Service is an integral part of the ethos of Reddam House and it is heartwarming to get feedback of students volunteering their time and effort to help others. Noah Hatzvi, Milana Perczuk, and Tali Gor participated in community programs at Kids Giving Back during the 2nd Term of this year and the recent July school holidays. We are all deeply saddened at the news of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Representing and inspiring the people of the British Isles and Commonwealth through enormous changes and challenges, our thoughts and prayers are with the UK Royal family at this time.

Dear Parents and Caregivers, Year 11 and Year 12 students have successfully completed their Final and Trial Examinations today. Following feedback next week, the Year 11 cohort will commence their Higher School Certificate and take over the reins of the leadership of the school. The Year 12 cohort have their Final Assembly next Friday followed by their ValedicWe are all so excited to be able to celebrate these significant milestones

Congratulations to all of the students who presented their work at this week's studio recitals. These have been absolutely invaluable experiences for young musicians and their families being able to put a face to the name of their child's music teacher, while joining on their journey and celebrating their hard work. We are very proud of all our students. Sunday began with three recitals, making for a very happy Father's Day indeed Ms Noortje Tromp (piano), Mr Alistair Wallis & Ms Julia Magri (percussion and bass guitar), and then Ms Cindy Sims with her brass students and the Brass Ensemble at 5pm. On Monday evening, Ms Nana Tatanaszwili and Ms Eka Tatanashvili presented their piano students, followed by Mr Dave Kempton's brass and guitar students. Tuesday evening was a combined guitar and voice recital, with four teachers joining together, Ms Tanith Bryce, Mr Gary Goldstein, Mr Richard Bornman and Mr Andrew Campbell. On Wednesday, we heard from Mr Biederman's piano students, followed by a Week 7 Studio Recitals Update

If you wish to make a booking for a Careers meeting please email Ms Jones. I will only be conducting these online for the foreseeable future until the current covid situation calms down.

Our general advice to all students who receive an offer in September is to ACCEPT all parts of their offer, including any accommodation and scholarship offers. Students have until Wednesday 5 October to accept their offers. Accepting their September offer ensures it will be waiting for the student at the end of the year; students will be able to make their ultimate decisions (including accepting, enrolling or deferring) when final confirmations are made in December/January.
