Dear Parents and Caregivers,
The start of the Yearly Examinations is upon Year 7 Year 10 students with English being written across the board today. Year 12 students start next Thursday. I remind all parents, as I reminded the students in assembly today, that it is the process that is important. If students are doing their best by preparing as thoroughly as they possibly can, and are working on the skills of how best to learn, working collaboratively with each other and their teachers, then that would be a successful examination period. It is not about the marks at this point. A concerted effort with the correct attitude in approaching these examinations will see the end result look after itself in time. I wish all the students a calm exam period.
This week the Dance Extravaganza, ‘Radiance To dance with passion is to glow from within’ was held on Tuesday and Wednesday nights at the Playhouse Theatre, NIDA. Mrs. Collier Walsh said, “the Dance students from Yr 7 12 have worked so hard in preparation for the event and I am so very proud of each and every one of them. It is so special to be able to put this show on for the first time in two years and it is even more rewarding to see our dance community connecting and working together again. Their dedication, passion, and talents are an absolute joy and a privilege to witness. We are so pleased with the success of Radiance and credit so much of it to the positive energy and camaraderie of our Dance community. It's a precious thing.”
Mr. Crawford, Reddam’s founder who is visiting Sydney, was at the evening. He was blown away and mentioned
that a performance like that ranked the Dance at Reddam in a bracket beyond any of the eighty five schools in the Inspired network, of which we are part. While we are not in competition, it is great to know that the quality of Dance at our school is world class. Well done to all the dance students, Mrs. Collier Walsh, and Ms. Knight on two fantastic evenings. More photo’s pages 4 and 5.
I was also thrilled to receive a snap shot of the new Year 12 Body of Works in the making. I’m already loving some of their work and look forward to an exciting year ahead.

Congratulations to our seven Entrepreneurship students who progressed beyond the initial round of the Entrepreneur Startup 101 Competition and took part in the second round on Thursday last week. Both Reddam teams have made it through to the National Grand Final which comprises 10 teams nationwide. This takes place over the coming weekend and we wish Xavier Hanna, Georgina Corish, Alon Freund, Maddie MacIntyre, Emilie Kesler, Abigail Brealey, and Amelie Rasmussen well with their pitches in the final.
on Sunday after several grueling weeks of training and assessments.
They have now qualified as surf lifesavers and will be out on patrol at Coogee Beach from next week. This selfless giving of one's time to ensure the community who swim at Coogee Beach remain safe is incredible and I congratulate them both on this achievement and their service to their community.
The same can be said of Isabella Leibman and Tali Gor, who participated in community programs at Kids Giving Back during the 3rd term of this year. They worked to produce meals, fruit kebabs, breakfast boxes, snack packs, and care packs which all included empathetic, positive messages on each item. These were then distributed to 9 charities around Sydney.
Congratulations to Idan Olovitz, Sam Daniels, Tadhg Kalowski, Hugo Nicolau Borde Bergeret, Max Ng, and Gilly Baum for their well received performance at the St Joseph's College Spring Fair, “Battle of the Bands” on Saturday. The boys entered themselves into this event and held their own against 32 other bands from schools across NSW. Great stuff boys.
Have a calm, effective, and focused week ahead, Dave Pitcairn
