UGLY BABY BIOS Mike Cunliffe is a founding member of Ugly Baby Improv and has enjoyed performing comedy for Birmingham audiences for over a decade. When he is not on stage making a fool of himself in front of other people, Mike can often be found making films, singing karaoke, or just hanging out with his wife Sara and their 5 cats. In his spare time, he is very tall. He also makes excellent pancakes. Chris Davis is a member of Ugly Baby Improv, ETC Improv, and hosts Fresh Ground Comics, Birmingham’s longest running local comedy showcase. Chris performs comedy, theater, appears in commercials, corporate videos, print ads and hosts many different events around town. He’s been fortunate enough to have opened for Janeane Garofalo, Al Madrigal, Michael Ian Black, Hannibal Buress, Brian Posehn and performed comedy sets at two TEDX Birmingham events in Birmingham, Alabama. Michael Greene got his start in comedy locally with his sketch group Vacant Manifesto before moving to New York to train at Upright Citizens Brigade and The People’s Improv Theater. He currently performs around town with Ugly Baby and his three-person troupe, Gladys. He wants you to ask him how you can start taking classes and perform improv yourself! Elise Mayfield received her BFA in Musical Theatre from Ole Miss and her MA in Interdisciplinary Arts from Columbia College Chicago. Elise started her theatrical career at the ripe age of nine in the Summerfest (now Red Mountain Theatre) Workshops. After college, she spent several years in Chicago working as both an actor and an admin with several storefront theatres. She returned home to Birmingham a few years ago, and is thrilled to be working for the company that sparked her love of theatre. Jacob Simmons is an improviser, a pastor, a husband, and a father, all of which involve the same skill set and none of which are heavily monetizable. He has trained in improv at the iO theater in Chicago and performed in Birmingham; Atlanta; Chicago; New York; London, England and Edinburgh, Scotland.
