The Cranbourne Turf Club has long been known as a progressive racing club being crowned as Victorian Country Racing Club of the Year in Season 2010/11 and in March 2012 became only the second thoroughbred racing club in Victoria to race under lights, broadcasting live to millions throughout Australia, Asia, America and Europe. TAB CRANBOURNE CUP CARNIVAL Friday Night 12 October 2012 Cranbourne Turf Club comes alive on Friday 12th October with the first night of the TAB Cranbourne Cup Carnival which coincides with the first meeting of the 2012/13 Browns Sawdust & Shavings Night Racing Season at the Cranbourne Turf Club. After a successful inaugural Browns Sawdust & Shavings Night Racing Season in 2011/12, the excitement has grown for race meetings held under lights at the Cranbourne Turf Club. The hustle and bustle on the track will begin with the first race at 6:45pm while the last of eight races will be run at 10:15pm. It won’t be just the local trainers trying their luck to win the inaugural running of the $80,000 Pinker Pinker Plate. X-Games Gold Medalist Cam Sinclair and some of the other boys from NITRO CIRCUS are back and will be thrilling the crowd with a freestyle motocross stunt show. Will Sincs be able to pull off the double back flip in front of his home crowd? You do not want to miss this one! The kids won’t be left disappointed with free kids rides and activities on course from 5pm including a jumping castle and chair-o-plane.

TAB CRANBOURNE CUP DAY Sunday 14 October 2012 TAB Cranbourne Cup Day is the biggest social event in the City of Casey and forms a part of one of Victoria’s premier sporting events, the Spring Racing Carnival. TAB Cranbourne Cup Day will once again provide an entertaining racing programme with ten races including the feature $200,000 TAB Cranbourne Cup and the $100,000 Procon Developments Apache Cat Classic. The best jockeys and trainers will embark on Cranbourne to win the coveted Cranbourne Cup. Look for local trainers to be dominant in the winners circle! The action is not only confined to the track as the fillies will also flock from all over Melbourne showcasing the latest Spring fashions as they compete in Myer Fashions on the Field. With $5,000 worth of Myer gift cards in prizes, the 2012 Myer Fashions on the Field will be hotly contested. There is also free entertainment and rides for the younger kids around the grounds with a jumping castle, giant slide and our new fantastic playground. The thoroughbred, harness and greyhound race tracks will be lit up on Friday 23 November when we run 24 races in one night - 8 thoroughbred races, 8 greyhound races and 8 harness races - the action never stops on City of Casey Tricodes Night! All our hospitality marquee packages are located in the Home Straight Enclosure or on the Terrace so you’ll have great views of the harness, greyhound and thoroughbred tracks and it’s guaranteed that a TAB won’t be too far away! BROWNS SAWDUST & SHAVINGS NIGHT RACING SEASON Cranbourne Turf Club is set to shine for the Club’s first full Browns Sawdust & Shavings Night Racing Season beginning from Friday 12 October 2012. This also coincides with the opening night of the inaugural two day TAB Cranbourne Cup Carnival. On Friday 9 March 2012, the Cranbourne Turf Club became only the second club in the history of Victorian thoroughbred racing to conduct night racing. In Season 2012/13, the club will host 15 night race meetings giving not only Casey’s passionate racing community, but for all Victorian racing fans, the opportunity to experience the thrill of country racing under lights at Cranbourne. Cranbourne Turf Club has a number of function rooms and outdoor areas available for non race day hire. The venue can cater for different size events and all our function rooms have their own special appeal. Surrounded by tranquil gardens and panoramic views of the racecourse, Cranbourne Turf Club provides a serene environment for your next event. Cranbourne Racing Centre is a multi-faceted venue, tailoring packages to your specific needs, from corporate and business functions to social and special events. Cranbourne Racing Centre is the perfect venue for every occasion – Conferences, Seminars, Meetings, Wedding Receptions, Cocktail Parties, Dinner Dances, Luncheons, Trade Shows and Exhibitions. The facility is accessible for all with lift access to the Grandstand and has disabled parking in the well lit on-site car park. With a blend of modern, Australian cuisine, the culinary delights provided by our Chef are the perfect compliment to your special event. FUNCTION ROOMS Committee Room The Committee Room is situated on Level One of the Lawson Poole Grandstand and has outstanding panoramic views of both the racecourse and countryside. The Committee Room creates the ideal setting for your next banquet and holds between 50 - 80 guests for a banquet dinner. The Committee Room has the flexibility to cater for any conference set up. Catering is served from the adjourning Members dining room, giving your delegates a much needed break. The function space can also hold up to 100 delegates in a theatre style set up or can be transferred into a intimate environment for smaller group parties. Members Dining Room The Members Dining Room is situated on Level One of the Lawson Poole Grandstand and hosts uninterrupted views of the racecourse. This comfortable and spacious surround is perfectly suited to anything from a sporting dinner to a black tie event. Dress it up or dress it down, this flexible room can be designed to suit your individual requirements. The Members Dining Room can cater up to 180 guests for a seated function and has a wall mounted projector and audio visual system. Champions Room The Champions Room also situated on Level One, is suited for more intimate functions. Accommodating and catering for up to 150 guests. This private room is most suited for formal wedding and special occasion dinners. Betting Ring & Grounds The Betting Ring & Grounds suit outdoor expos, markets & fairs. With ample undercover and powered sites the Betting ring can hold up to 100 stalls.
