Mrs. Zoulek’s Here to Help I

f you have not visited the counselor’s office this year, stop in and meet Mrs. Zoulek! Mrs. Lynne Zoulek used to work as the high school counselor at Davenport Assumption High School. She graduated with her undergraduate degree from Wartburg and went to American Public University where she got her Master’s. In her spare time, Mrs. Zoulek enjoys camping, gardening and scrapbooking. She found the opening for the counsel-

or job at Regina while showing another school counselor how to look for jobs. “I’ve known about Regina for years. “My husband works in Coralville so it was a great move for our family”, Zoulek said. When asked about her favorite thing about Regina is, Mrs. Zoulek said, “I love how the staff, parents and even students have been willing to help me out, to teach me and to be patient with me as I learn all the components of the Regina School Counselor job.”

The Musical Ms. Marcotte M

s. Marcotte is one of Regina’s newest additions. She is the choir director for the 6th grade choir, junior high, and high school choirs. Ms. Marcotte taught preschool- 8th grade general music for five years at St. Paul of the Cross in Park Ridge, Illinois. She said, “I decided to move to Iowa to spend more time with my honey.”, instead of driving back and forth like she had been doing for four months. She says the transition has been good, people are very friendly here, and she likes it a lot! She also enjoys how affordable Iowa is compared to the Chicago area. This is her sixth year of teaching. She graduated from Lake Forest High School

in Lake Forest, Illinois. For college, she received her undergraduate at Boston College, and her masters at Northwestern University. Marcotte decided to go into music because she felt like it was just the natural path for her. She had always participated in orchestra, choir, and band when she was younger, and always loved it! When asked what her favorite thing about Regina is, she answered, “I love that I get to see every grade and age range all in one building!” Marcotte likes to work out in her free time and is currently teaching a Zumba class! She is also looking around town to hopefully join an adult choir here in Iowa City.
