he Regina Regals conquered four seasons unbeaten. Each Friday night brought hundreds of spectators to Iowa City to witness Regina make history. The boys of fall played under constant scrutiny , often in the face of adversity. These tribulations attest to the type of team the 2014 Regals have developed into. ponents 276 to 46, including last week’s 50-0 victory at West Marshall. Senior Quarterback Drew Cook returns to lead the team to victory after an impressive Junior season, passing for over 2,000 yards. Cook and his fellow seniors look to guide the team to their 5th consecutive state title. Tomorrow the Regals once again journeys outside of Class 1A to take on Xavier in Cedar Rapids at 7p.m. Xavier enters the contest with a 5-2 record and is ranked 5th in Class 3A.
by Payton Raso Staff Reporter A year removed from an exciting trip to the State Tournament, Regina Volleyball had some key pieces to replace, a task which senior leaders Tori Brennan and Haley McLaughlin were more than ready to take on. “I was excited to take over where last year’s seniors left off and try to lead us back to State.” said Tori. After a slow start Regina began to gain a little momentum, bolstered by a raucous home student section that was present at every home game from West Branch to Senior night. “We have one of the loudest crowds in the conference and it is exciting to play in front of all my friends.” said McLaughlin.
