OCTOBER’S FEATURED ARTIST: by Abby Sheehan Arts Editor
MINSEON GIM
S
enior, Minseon Gim, has always impressed us with her artwork since she first came to Regina in eighth grade. She began her interest in drawing and sketching, when she first came to America. “In Junior High Art Club, Ms. Riehl was a big influence for me! She helped me realize how much I enjoyed doing art!”, Gim said. Minseon’s favorite artist is Monet. She’s an avid fan of watercolor paintings, although her artwork doesn’t include any. Most of her work includes still life sketches or landscapes, but she doesn’t do portraits. When asked what her favorite mediums are, she said acrylic and pencil, mostly. Gim plans to major in engineering in college, but wants to continue with art as a hobby throughout the rest of her life.
