amazing. Following an extensive period of restoration, which transformed it into the luxury anti-ageing and well-being clinic you find today, she opened her doors to become Doncaster’s first ever medical aesthetics clinic. Broadly speaking, medical aesthetics includes all medical treatments that are focused on improving the cosmetic appearance of patients. Elements Medical offers the latest, safest and most innovative treatments available. It is something that Sandy is clearly passionate about. “I believe that restoring and enhancing your natural beauty is key, and our team of clinical experts are here to work with you to listen, understand, manage your expectations, discuss treatment options, skincare and products to help you achieve the best version of you,” enthuses Sandy. Your journey at Elements Medical starts with a free skin consultation which can be followed up with a bespoke treatment plan as well as aftercare and advice.

➙➙ ➙ ➙

f you ask Sandy Green how things have changed in her almost 20 years in business, she would definitely agree that her patients have become more receptive to the treatments that she offers at her clinic, Elements Medical. “It used to be a bit of a ‘taboo’ subject and patients would never admit to having anything done,” she says. “Nowadays, they post selfies all over social media proudly showcasing their must-have ‘tweakments’.” Sandy opened the Thorne Road clinic, swapping a career working in the NHS as a midwife specialising in contraception and sexual health for medical aesthetics. “I had started having anti-wrinkle injections myself at the age of 30 and loved the results and self-confidence it gave me so much, that I wanted others to experience that too,” she says. After walking past the former Ashlea Hotel, Sandy fell in love with the building and set out to create something truly

“The ‘ fox eye and cheek lift’ treatment is popular with several high-profile celebrities because of the beautiful eye shape that can be created.”

“We take pride in offering an excellent patient experience,” adds Sandy. The range of treatments at the clinic can be split into five categories – injectable treatments, skin treatments, laser and IPL (Intense Pulse Light) treatments, hayfever and vitamin treatments and weight loss treatments. Amongst the range of treatments that Sandy offers, one that is proving particularly popular at the moment is PDO (Polydioxanone) Threads (see pictures below). The PDO thread lift is an innovative and painless way to get facelift results – without the surgery. PDO threads are used to gently lift the face and neck, giving you a younger and firmer looking face. Known as a ‘lunchtime facelift’, PDO threads for face and neck are simple dissolvable sutures that help to give a more contoured shape. This type of lift was previously only available by using fillers. A PDO thread lift has an advantage over fillers for some patients because no more additional volume is added to the face. This creates a much more natural look. After the threads have dissolved, the natural ageing process will still take place, but your skin retains some of the lifted appearance. In addition, the threads stimulate new collagen production over time which further adds to the naturally rejuvenated look. The precision with which the threads can be placed means you choose to have treatment directly where a lift is needed too, rather than lifting the entire face. Areas which can be lifted include brows, cheeks, marionette lines (either side of mouth), jowls, jawline and the neck. Dreaming of sexy, ‘cat-like’ eyes? The hugely popular PDO

threat eye lift or ‘fox eye lift’ is also now available at Elements Medical. A fast, relatively pain-free treatment with big results, the fox eye lift can be done on your lunch break. It is designed to lift the outer corners of your eyes and the tail of your eyebrow, giving the eye a very desirable shape, and reducing sagging related to age. The treatment is popular with several high-profile celebrities because of the beautiful eye shape that can be created. The treatment is quite simple – using dissolvable suture threads, the outer brow and eye corner is pulled to lift any sagging of the upper eyelid. The amount of lift given is completely customisable, depending on the severity of sagging and the result you want to achieve. So, what kind of clientele does Sandy treat? “We see anyone over the age of 18 wanting to improve their appearance or well-being,” she adds. “We treat a varied age group which has increased over the years as it’s become more acceptable to have these ‘tweakments’. “We just want you to achieve the best version of you.” In the run-up to Christmas, Elements Medical will be hosting their annual ‘12 Deals of Christmas’ event, which runs from 1-12 December and sees 12 of their most popular treatments on offer, giving shoppers an opportunity to buy family and friends a gift they will remember - see the advert on page 8. Miguel Perez

The ultimte guide to winter hair

Hair Rituel products

WE SPOKE TO HAIR RITUEL BY SISLEY’S UK AMBASSADOR, MIGUEL PEREZ. inter can be the most wonderful time of year - but it can play havoc with your hair. The cold air can strip the moisture, leaving it looking lifeless, brittle and dull. Not ideal when you have a raft of invitations for exciting events waiting for you. But worry not, there are a few things you can do. Hair stylist to the stars Miguel Perez is Hair Rituel by Sisley’s UK ambassador and knows a thing or two about giving your hair the best treatment during the winter months. Hair Rituel’s six essential treatment products, from a smoothing shampoo to a regenerating hair care mask, can help to give your hair that luxury feel you crave. Here are Miguel’s five tips to make sure your hair looks and feel fabulous this Christmas.

W

1. Colour Don’t trust the model on the box! The colour always ends up lighter than the one shown so it’s always better to look at the chart on the top of the box to get a better idea of what the colour will end up looking like on your own hair. For permanent dye, choose a colour a touch darker than what you want because of the strong developer within the formula. With semi-permanent dye however, choose a shade slightly on the

lighter side of the colour you’re looking to achieve.

4. Style

Moving your parting over to the side is the easiest way to make your style look 2. Health like an entirely new haircut. Instead of If you have fine hair it’s best to avoid using gel for a wet look, use either creamy shampoos as these can be conditioner or a hair mask, heavy and weigh the hair such as Hair Rituel by Sisley down. Also try not to Regenerating Hair Care wash fine hair every day Mask. It will set as a gel but as this can make it feel you will be conditioning the limp. However, if you do hair at the same time as need to wash daily, only achieving your desired look. shampoo once and make I love waves like Margot sure you’re using a gentle Robbie’s with a side daily shampoo such as Hair parting and have been Rituel by Sisley Volumizing created by using a round ie Shampoo. You should only brush for volume. 3. Cut For me it’s all about following the natural hair texture, While it’s important to keep your strands healthy in order for them to look their best, the right haircut is also key. Make sure you have a proper consultation, and really talk about your lifestyle; if you exercise, how much time you are willing to spend on your hair each day etc. I would also always recommend bringing a picture and never go for a big change if you are not feeling your best – you might end up regretting it!

5. Salon secrets Make sure you speak the same language as your stylist, meaning that when it comes to technical words, you know exactly what they are talking about. Go for a style or colour that is easy for you to look after and maintain. There is no point in going for something that will only look nice only for a short period of time. Worth waiting for AFTER BEING FORCED TO POSTPONE LAST YEAR’S CEREMONY, THE WESTSIDE & SOUTHSIDE BAR & RESTAURANT AWARDS RETURNED WITH A BANG, AS OUR REGION’S FINEST CULINARY STARS DECENDED ON THE OEC FOR A NIGHT OF CELEBRATION. t feels like it’s been a long time coming. After last year’s enforced postponement of the Westside & Southside Restaurant & Bar Awards, we returned this year – and there was plenty to celebrate. Moving from its traditional summer slot to the autumn, this 26th incumbent of our annual awards, held for the first time at Owlerton Events and Conferencing (OEC), didn’t disappoint as over 200 guests packed out the venue and entered into the spirit of the occasion. The OEC opened in late 2019 and hosts a range of impressive multipurpose suites with catering for unto 500 guests, a perfect setting for weddings, dinners, balls, conferences, live events and more. It was the perfect fit for our event; extremely well organised, the service was faultless throughout the

The kitchen served a wonderful four-course meal which consisted of pan fried seabass, sweetcorn and chicken veloute, roasted saddle of lamb and an assiette of desserts. When it came to the 2021 Westside & Southside Restaurant & Bar Awards, competition was keen of course, but we were delighted at how many local

restaurants, bars and cafes entered into the festivities, especially after their most difficult 18 months on record. It was fantastic to see all of the nominees together in one room, celebrating the superb quality of independent eateries found in our region. There were 12 awards in total and on the following pages we’ll give you the lowdown on all the winners. But of course, the entire occasion was geared towards the unveiling of the big winners of our premium award - the Westside Restaurant of the Year for 2021. This year the top prize went to The Gallery Restaurant at the Cavendish Hotel Baslow, a stunning location on the edge of the Chatsworth estate. The 3 AA rosette restaurant, superbly overseen by head chef Adam Harper, wowed our judges with the finesse of its food, flawless service and classic ambience. It’s

And for some hardened party animals, the after-party continued into the small hours at Napoleons Casino, situated next door to the OEC. Read on to find out who picked up the region’s most coveted honours at the Westside & Southside Restaurant & Bar Awards 2021.

Westside Restaurant of the Year 2021

The Gallery Restaurant at the Cavendish Hotel Baslow e’re so lucky to have the blissfully luxurious Cavendish Hotel at Baslow, located in one of the Peak District’s most picturesque villages, on our doorstep. Their 28 stylish bedrooms, with views over the Chatsworth Estate, might be the ideal place to unwind but if you’d rather indulge, the 3 AA Rosette Gallery restaurant takes some beating – and made it the number one choice for our overall restaurant of the year. From the moment you arrive, you’re made to feel truly special. You’ll experience crisp linen, polished silver and flawless service all complemented by a menu that showcases the very best local produce and innovative cooking, courtesy of head chef Adam Harper. Adam joined The Cavendish in October 2018 after previously gaining Michelin Star experience with Simon Rogan at The French and at Fischer’s at Baslow Hall. If your budget allows, we’d recommend going for his tasting menu, which truly gives you the full Cavendish experience. Hotel manager Steve Daly collected the award from our managing director John Murphy and compere Shaun Doane. “We’re absolutely elated!” he beams. “It’s quite levelling really. We have put a lot of work in to get to where we are,

we’re constantly improving, and it’s so nice to be recognised in this way.” Steve joined the hotel five years ago and has seen big changes in that time. “It’s been quite a journey, going from one to two and then three AA rosettes for the restaurant in 2020,” he adds. “On top of that, the hotel now has 5 AA Red Star status.” So what does he put their success down to? “The hotel has obvious appeal, being on the edge of the Chatsworth Estate, it’s one of the Duke and Duchess’s properties, but what we’ve done is bring warmth, character and sincerity to the building to make it more inclusive,” he says. “Adam can take a lot of credit for this award - and deservedly so - but our success doesn’t just come from one person but the whole team. There are 40-odd souls who work here and they all contribute in making the guest journey so special. “They’re an amazing team - I’ve never worked with one like it in my 18 years in the industry. They go above and beyond to make The Cavendish the most welcoming place it can be.”

WESTSIDE & SOUTHSIDE RESTAURANT & BAR AWARDS 2021

Readers’ Choice Award The Maynard Our Readers’ Choice Award is one of our most coveted and gives you the chance to have your say on who the winner should be. Conducted via an online poll, our readers have been sending in entries in there hundreds over the last few weeks and it was unbelievable to find that the top three was separated by just 37 votes. The Maynard, owned by Longbow Bars and Restaurants, beat its sister property, The George Hathersage, into second place with Bank House finishing third. “Apart from the main one, this is the one to win,” said Rob Hattersley. “It’s people who have been in the restaurant, enjoyed the experience and then voted for us, which means a lot.” The Maynard had only just re-opened its doors after a major refurb before last year’s first lockdown hit but they’ve soon hit their stride with fine food and wine, including fantastic Sunday lunches. “We like to awaken sleeping giants,” added Rob. “You’ve

Best Newcomer Dunston Hall Bistro & Garden Centre “Wow” was all David Harrison could say after winning Best Newcomer. The genial chap, who owns the hall, bistro and garden centre with his wife Lynsey, was clearly blown away by their success. The charming bistro has a breakfast, lunchtime and evening menu, offering something for everyone. Service comes with a smile with the food presented beautifully, all in relaxing surroundings. “We chose one of the worse times to open,” he said. “We’re not a famous restaurant but pride ourselves on good quality food and service. This means the world to us. All I can add is, onwards and upwards.”

seen that with The Maynard and more recently with The George. Hopefully this award shows we’re doing something right.” In what seemed to be a running theme throughout the night, Rob was also quick to praise the staff at The Maynard. “We’re inspired by them,” he beamed. “Without them we’d be nothing.”

Best Contemporary Bank House If there was an award for noisiest tables, Bank House would definitely be up there but they had plenty of cause for celebration after taking home the award they won in 2019. “I’m over the moon but have to reserve the biggest praise for our team,” said Lawrence Key. “We’ve been really lucky with staff and they’ve all worked so hard to get us through the most challenging of times. We’re a family at the end of the day. “Hathersage is becoming a real destination with lots of local businesses supporting each other which is so great to see.” www.sheffieldvibe.com 23

Best Dining Pub The Peacock Cutthorpe Stunning views of the Derbyshire countryside, an excellent selection of beers, wines and spirits, and top-class modern British cuisine, has attracted a loyal following both locally and further afield. This the is the fourth time the Peacock have walked away with an award; last time around (in 2019) they were voted ‘Best Family Favourite’ but now retain ‘Best Dining Pub’ after winning the same award in 2018. “It’s amazing to win,” said Charlotte Marsden. “It’s been such hard work but our staff have been absolutely fantastic. We’re now busier than ever which is great to see.”

Best Hotel Restaurant Brocco on the Park If a pandemic wasn’t enough to contend with, Brocco has undergone a change of ownership this year and has seen head chef Leslie Buddington leave for pastures new. Not that you would be able to tell. The venue is as lovely as ever with the food, service and atmosphere hitting those same high standards. “I’d like to say a big thank you to Gary, Ash, Zoe and Stevie,” said Nicola Walton, who has worked at Brocco for six years. “Without them we wouldn’t be here and certainly not collecting this award. “We’ve resisted the temptation to change everything and tried to keep on the same track.” 24 www.sheffieldvibe.com

Best Afternoon Tea Darcy’s Brasserie at Mosborough Hall Hotel Afternoon tea can be something of a treat and there’s no better place to indulge than at Mosborough Hall Hotel, which sits on the Derbyshire border in the south-east of the city. We loved the blend of old and new and their afternoon teas, served Monday to Sunday, offer real value for money. Head chef Alex Fretwell has been revamping the whole menu throughout the hotel since re-opening in the summer and has taken his afternoon teas to the next level. “First of all, it’s just great to be nominated, never mind winning,” he said as he celebrated with his team. “It’s great to be out and [the OEC] is such a great venue, we’re glad to be here.”

Best Cafe/Light Bite The Barn at Whirlow Hall Farm When the team at Whirlow Hall Farm decided to expand and update their cafe, little did their know the instant impact it would have. Appointing Masterchef: The Professionals semifinalist Luke Rhodes as head chef has proved an inspired decision and we were just blown away by his food when we stopped by for lunch. And that’s just he beginning. Bistro nights and Sunday lunches have been added to the roster and there are more events planned for next year. “”It’s unbelievable,” said Luke. “It makes all those early mornings worthwhile and hopefully this [award] is just the first of many.” “We thought we’d be able to build up slowly but it’s really busy from the off,” added Kelvin Charles.

WESTSIDE & SOUTHSIDE RESTAURANT & BAR AWARDS 2021

Best Indian Prithi Raj Everyone loves a good curry and Sheffield has some fine independent restaurants to choose from. Some of them are so good in fact it’s hard to choose between them but Prithi Raj has come out on top for the second time running. “We offer more than just food,” said Ibby Ali, who works front of house at the Ecclesall Road restaurant. “We treat our customers like family and have even brought some of the along this evening to celebrate with us. We sponsor the Sheffield Children’s Hospital and have had recent exposure on BBC Breakfast thanks to Dan Walker and Nadia Bychkova who visited recently.” Trust us, the food is exceptional too.

Best Italian Nonnas The Ecclesall Road restaurant is something of a Sheffield institution - and with good reason.Their authentic dishes are a big hit with customers who just love that taste of the ‘old country’.There’s rarely a dull moment at Nonnas, which remains open seven days a week from 8am in the morning to midnight. “We’ve had staffing problems like everyone else in the industry,” said head chef Ross Sayles. “But everyone has chipped in and we feel like we’re almost back to what we consider normal.” Sara Habte, who works front of house and collected the award with Ross, added: “We’re delighted with the award after what has been a really challenging year.”

Best Oriental Chinatown It’s only been open for two years but Martin Ng’s Chinatown restaurant has quickly established itself as a top destination for quality authentic Chinese food. Three menus - daytime dim sum and evening ‘English’ and Chinese menus - leave no stone unturned. Our reviewer particularly loved the scallops, served with glass noodles in their shell, so much that he returned for a second helping shortly after. Chinatown is a big restaurant popular with families, but despite its size, and the fact that it is often completely full, service never faltered. “Like many restaurants we have had to change and adapt but we’re truly honoured to win this award,” said Martin.

Best Night Out The Wildcard Bar & Grill After a stop-start beginning, punctuated by a lengthy winter lockdown, The Wildcard felt like they were starting from scratch when they were allowed to reopen in May.You wouldn’t have guessed, though, as it feels like the Bar and Grill has always been there. It’s proved to be a big hit with everyone, whether you’re out with family, friends or in a big group. And the fact that it’s a sports bar is just a bonus. “We’ve found that we’re not having to rely too much on the sporting calendar,” said Jack Carter. “We seem to have got the formula between bar and food just right and it’s been more than enough for our customers. We didn’t expect this award but are thrilled.” www.sheffieldvibe.com 25

Local Area Committees give you the chance to raise your views, share your opinion on what the council does in your area and contribute to making changes in your neighbourhood. The South West LAC covers the 4 electoral wards of Crookes & Crosspool, Dore & Totley, Ecclesall, and Fulwood. As a resident of South West Sheffield, this is your opportunity to say what you would like to see improved. The first public South West Local Area Committee meeting was held on Thursday 16th September 2021 with Cllr Andrew Sangar, Chair of the South West LAC facilitating a host of questions and debates. Denise Devoto, LAC Manager for the South West explained how the LAC is actively listening to feedback to inform the community plan. Topics discussed included neighbourhood plans, communication about LACs to the public, decision making and scrutiny, funding for community groups, highways issues, education, anti-social behaviour and environmental concerns. The South West LAC aims to hold four public meetings per year, hosted in each ward – these meetings are just one way that residents can take part in the conversation. Following meetings and consultations during 2021, the LAC team are putting together a community plan. At the January meeting we will discuss progress in developing the new LAC community plan, giving residents the opportunity to have your say before it is finalised:

CHRISTMAS

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas... GET CRAFTY THIS CHRISTMAS AND MAKE YOUR OWN BEAUTIFUL WREATH BY FOLLOWING OUR SIMPLE STEPBY-STEP GUIDE. BY MARIA ILIFFE.

Step 1 – Metal ring Start with your circle metal ring, used as a frame for the wreath.

If you’ve taken up a new hobby or pastime over the last 18 months or so, you’re definitely not alone. Forced to find ways to keep ourselves occupied, many people have turned to DIY and crafty home improvements/decorations, to re-ignite their creativity. Wreath making is a brilliant way to try your hand at craft, learn a new skill, or indulge in your passion. Remaining one of the only ways to decorate your doors – and certainly the best – wreaths provide the perfect seasonal addition to your home. With that in mind, we have spoken to

I

local florist April Bell, who designs gorgeous wreaths and bouquets. April and right-hand girl Jasmine, shared their expertise and together we’ve created this step-by-step guide to help you get in the festive spirit. Whether you want to gather foliage and autumnal greenery from your garden and local parks, or buy a pack online or from a florist, the same method can still be applied. The leaves and decoration are suggestions and the steps are for guidance, so feel free to get inspired and interpret this is your own way, making a completely unique yet beautiful wreath.

What you will need: Scissors/secateurs Wire wreath ring Sphagnum Moss Seasonal evergreen foliage Natural twine 12-inch 20-gauge floristry wire Seasonal decorations *** A big thank you to April at Monica F Hewitt Florist. monicafhewitt.co.uk

CHRISTMAS

Steps 2 & 3 – Mossing

Step 4 – Collect foliage

Tie one end of your natural twine to the outer rim of the wreath ring. Then gather a handful of Sphagnum moss, place onto the wreath ring, and bind around leaving an inch gap between each bind. To ensure the moss is well bound, create plenty of tension when binding. Repeat the above process until the entire wreath ring is covered. (This will be needed for step 10).

Gather a selection of the foliage you wish to use, you can take leaves from trees, bushes or plants; alternatively, you can purchase some online or form a florist.

Step 5 – Prep foliage

Step 6 – Arrange foliage

Step 7 – Wire foliage

Cut your foliage into usable hand sized pieces. Strip any lower leaves creating approximately 1 inch of a clean stem. This will help in the following steps.

Now evenly distribute your foliage into a minimum of 15 mixed foliage bundles. You will want 3 to 5 stems in each.

Take a 20-gauge wire and bend the top 2 inches to create a hair pin. Gather one of your foliage bundles, keeping all the clean stems together.

Step 8 – Wrap wire Place the bend of the wire at the back of the stems holding securely in place with your fingers. (Making sure the wire is following the same direction). Using the long piece of wire, tightly bind around the stems. A maximum of 4 binds is required to ensure enough wire is remaining. (This is known as a single leg mount). This is important for the following step. The quicker you bind, the tighter and more secure your bundle will be.

Step 9 – Wired bundles Repeat this step for all 15 of your foliage bundles. Continued on the next page > www.sheffieldvibe.com 33

034 SSide Dec21 15/11/2021 12:16 Page 1

CHRISTMAS

Step 10 – Attach foliage bundles

Step 11 – Bend wire

Step 12 – Attach foliage bundles

Use the long piece of wire to pierce through the top of the mossed ring and tightly pull through the back until the stems are laid flush to the moss.

The wire at the back can now be pulled tightly and bent back into the moss ensuring no sharp wires are left.

Repeat this process. The top of each bundle is to slightly overlay the stems of the previous bundle. You will also want to follow a herringbone pattern which will help achieve a strong circular shape.

Step 13 – Half covered

Step 14 – Finish foliage

Step 15 – Prepare accessories

Once you’ve added half of your bundles, the wreath should look something like this, with no gaps.

Continue adding the rest of your bundles in the same pattern, pulling the wire tight and leaving no gaps.

Time to get festive! Choose the perfect accessories for you. You can use anything from dried flowers, pinecones, and cinnamon sticks to baubles, fairy lights – anything with sparkle.

Step 16 & 17 – Wire pinecone

Step 18 – Wire accessories

The single leg mount wiring technique as used in step 3 can be utilized to wire many different accessories. However, you may need to try each decoration individually to discover the best attachment method. For example, a pinecone can look quite tricky to wire but by using the natural ridges you can easily slot the wire into the pinecone. After bending it round, secure the wire by twisting the short and long sides together.

Follow a similar technique for your pother accessories, slotting and then wrapping the wire best you can, to get a strong hold.

CHRISTMAS

Step 19 – Decorate!! Let your creativity run wild! Now that all your accessories are prepared and wired. You’ll be able to follow the same technique that we used when attached the foliage bundles to the mossed wreath ring. To create a traditional style, you’ll want to evenly space your decorations through the wreath. If you’re wanting a more modern style, grouping your materials is a great way to achieve this look.

Step 20 – Hang your wreath proud! A finished wreath can look something like this.

An icon revisited

Luxury trailblazer

Inspired by the track

Almost 70 years ago, a sports car launched in Stuttgart immediately became a legend. The vision of expanding the potential of the Mercedes-Benz brand through motor racing successes produced the first SL as a result - a road-going racing sports car. In the decades-long development history, from full-blooded racing car to open-top luxury sports car, the new Mercedes-AMG SL now sets another milestone. It combines the sportiness of the original SL with the unique luxury and technological excellence that characterise modern Mercedes models. It returns to its roots with a classic soft top and sporty character. At the same time, the luxurious roadster as a 2+2 seater is particularly suitable for everyday use and puts its power down on the road with all-wheel drive for the first time. The new SL starts with two output levels of the AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine. In the top model SL 63 4MATIC+ the engine develops 430 kW (585 hp). In the SL 55 4MATIC+ the V8 unit develops an output of 350 kW (476 hp).

With a sharpened design and innovative new technologies, the new Audi A8 maintains its reputation as a trailblazer in the premium segment. The Audi A8 is a saloon that represents status and exudes authority – now that it has been reworked, its exterior is even more representative, confident, and athletic. From a side view, the luxury saloon’s progressive character is particularly eye-catching. Stretched lines in the body of the car emphasise its length, wide wheel arches hint at the standard quattro drive system. The enhanced Audi A8 is available with four engine options. The 3.0 TDI and the 3.0 TFSI are V6 units, while the 4.0 TFSI in the S8 is a V8 with cylinder on-demand technology. The TFSI e plug-in hybrid model combines the 3.0 TFSI with an electric motor. Order books are open now with prices starting from £77,375.

BMW has honed the track-inspired characteristics of its four-cylinder highperformance model for the premium compact segment. Detail upgrades to its chassis components endow the BMW M135i xDrive with noticeably enhanced performance qualities. The standout power of the 225 kW/306 hp four-cylinder unit with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology under the bonnet of the BMW M135i xDrive is harnessed more effectively than ever to produce the captivating dynamics and driving experience for which BMW is renowned. Optimised traction enables drivers to explore the car’s performance limits with confidence, especially when cornering at extremely high speeds. Specially tuned M Sport steering and exceptionally powerful M Sport brakes can also be found on the standard equipment list for the BMW M135i xDrive. The compact sports car leaves the factory on 18-inch M light-alloy wheels as standard, with the option of 19-inch lightalloy items available in a variety of designs. www.sheffieldvibe.com 49
